Yeah, when I wrote it I wanted there to be something quietly sad about the entire day. It was light and full of fun with them sort of merging as a family a bit better. But he's doing that knowing there's separation between him and Cody and there's a loss there too.

Oh goodness, how did I miss this!? I can vaguely remember why Ridley was upset about the article. He didn't want it written to begin with, but he also didn't want his personal life on display for people that would just read and forget. He was very protective of himself, if I'm remembering correctly. That closed him in and made him an island. But yeah, he was in total self containment to his detriment as far as making wanted connections were concerned. I think that's why people gravitated to him... It is nice to see that your mind hasn't changed from the above comment. I wouldn't have wanted it to. Part of Ridley was that he was hurting, closed in, and unreachable. The heart of the story was getting him to see that he was.

Yeah, give him his due, it was filthy. With a capital F. Oh goodness what have we managed to do.. 😮

I am flattered, but also concerned. Flattery will get you far with me though. Also, I can't wait to see what is in store for us all.

On his pretty smile, because I'm a lady. Also, I have no real defense for that statement. lol. So I'll just say, I'm innocent. Although, I only had long-term relationships, I mean I dated to marry for the most part, so I don't have a long list of guys to truly compare what their fly preferences actually are. There. I think I salvaged my reputation... lol. My goodness.

Yeah you're a solid 10% for a split between innocent thoughts vs. *clutching my pearls*
-
I think the average is a bit lower here... even y'all's mostly innocent comments make me tilt my head thinking I'm being set up for something later on. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

I truly imagine your life being rather stressful right now. In the prep-work and knowing what you have to look forward to in the coming days. Rest easy, take breaks, deep breaths.

Lots of things can motivate them to find and disable cameras. But I hope they don't actually have them in every room of the house, that would be freaky on top of their neglect. Psychopaths. But still.. no proof of life from Daddy...

Y'all are going to get into trouble with the sandalwood people and I'm going to be sitting back with my popcorn to watch the show. Sandalwood people don't play, I'm thinking.

The chicken dance, if done correctly is a secure ice breaker, maybe both Tigers should have started with that.
-
Lot's of pool stuff, shower stuff... lake stuff... I'm starting to be rather predictable, aren't I?
-
Yeah, surely they have sleuthed out all the cameras. I don't think there's any in the house, no mention of them, and no phone calls after they enter the house. They to have a surveillance system, so a nanny cam could be possible. They did disable the back yard cams. If they wanted to the twins could probably disable all of them for some peace. I wonder if the parents would jet home if they did? Do they have that much of a control issue? Who knows... But yeah, for their sake Davin better remember where all the cameras are pointed. But who says they're going to be doing anything that would even warrant the consideration?

Oh my goodness.. now there's two of you on the island of Delusional. Population two.

The comments can be quite a show. Unhinged is probably a good term, possibly. But, I don't want to feed egos. Not in the least. I guess it is a series of "coming out" for the guys. Gavin the chapter before took the show with how he came together with Joel and now Colt took his turn. I am so sorry. I didn't mean for that to sound dirty, but it hit me right as I ended the sentence, but I won't backspace. You're welcome.

As a mother of twins, I am horrified. My goodness me.

Light is what Joel needed. So I'm glad he got a good and light day. I liked writing them in that light. I know it may not be the most plot pushing, but at least for me, it felt like Joel could take a breath. He did lose the fight for the first shower upstairs, that's what Colt and Joel wrestled over. There's likely a shower in his future plans. Horses do stink when they get their musky sweat on you. Then Davin came along.
-
I see what you did there. The pace isn't that slow, okay? Say it enough times maybe we'll start to think it. They are living in the past, so to speak. And who says I can't write a whole other two chapters about the same day? I've done it before. Don't challenge me, I can and will deliver. Also, yeah y'all need to get your minds out the gutter. Davin could have firmly innocent intentions by asking Joel to come with him. I

Are you a hacker? of my brain? 😮

Yeah, I was never an all-night party girl. I had that curfew so I always made it to my bed, but I imagine a lot of truck beds, grassy spots, and just "I don't give a shit.." spots for sleeping. Tents wasn't something that I ever witnessed too many people opting for looking back. I just thought I'd be nicer and offer them for sleeping arrangements for my characters. I am nice, nobody say otherwise. Drunk + buttons doesn't seem like a good mix. Even if it is just jeans... hand coordination isn't the best. Party places are handed down, the torch passed on to the next. Especially fields, bends in the river, abandoned properties.. etc. There was this one family that were the "cool family.." that had four children of varying ages that allowed parties... and of course that party never got broken up in any serious manner.

Oh goodness me. I still have time to rewrite next chapter, a week. Yeah, a week. lol. Y'all seem to think Davin only has one thing on his mind... Joel seems to agree with you... I won't say what, but it's something my mother would have threatened to wash right out of my mouth with soap. Just so you know.
-
I don't think that's how Colt would've pictured it either, to be fair. Also, sometimes when I write a lot of dialogue, I will go through and just read the dialog to see how the dialog flows from narrative and between characters. When I was reading just the dialog portions of Colt telling Joel to relax his hips, etc. I sat back and said... "This is starting to read like Colt is coaching Joel on how to bottom..." because I didn't read enough for the context of horse riding to enter the equation. I left it as is though.

Aww. Hi! Yeah, the guys stepped up and made her day. They were good gentlemen, Celia should be proud. Quiet time? 😮 Possibly. A dinner and a movie? A relaxing swim in the pool?
