Thanks for y‘all kind comments, both Joh and I really appreciate them. This story is something we’ve be working on for 6 months. Plus i want to acknowledge she’s very patient with me, with my work delays and the time of year and all. (Not to mention the other projects she’s got going simultaneously, I couldn’t of it, awesome stuff.) glad y’all are enjoying November, thanks John.

Chapter 5 – I can be serious – sometimes. “Mike seems like a nice guy Jamie? Yeah, he is we met a few years ago. Unfortunately, his car caught on fire, I was one of the people that responded. He’d just had some old family photos reframed, they were in the rear of his car when it went up, some small ‘BMW’ wagon. Luckily, the fire had not spread too far and I was able to quickly snatch them out of harm's way. He was so grateful, he called past the station a few days later with a gift h

Hey skyacer, thanks a million. Jamie's last name is Spence, he only normally gets called Jamie (or James Spence) Spence on official stuff, when he's in trouble or the like. Kinda like when your mom calls you by your first middle and last names, you know your in for it. And Cal-fire just might do that or not... never know whats around the corner, ha-ha thanks again for reading and hope you enjoy the journey

Thanks for the expansive feedback, the comments in the (fiction) story are around the methodology of firefighting in large scale forest fires, and the exchange ideas and personnel. I really appreciate your investment in the story and hope you enjoy the journey as it continues,

The summer weather had slipped away today. It was cold and raining out. Everything looked cold and grey - not an ideal day off. At least this time I didn’t have to run out of Sam’s house like a madman. I couldn't do that to him for the third time - he’s a really nice guy. Sam was quietly sleeping beside me, looking so peaceful almost innocent. I had texted him after my shift finished, asking if there was any chance that I could make up for the past two fails? To my absolute surpris

Hey y’all. And welcome Leon too. I’ve only been a member for a short time here, and even shorter writing. The people on this site , well, there just awesome, loads of support and encouragement too. A couple of friends I have on this site finally convinced me to write, I did and so far it’s going well. So Leon if you want to have a shot at writing, can’t think of a better place or people to try it out. There also some really talented writers here too, just fantastic. Have a great day y’all, John.

All very true, maybe a way forward is to interface the car seat with a pressure pad into the cars warning system or even wirelessly In to the Bluetooth, I’m sure someone can work it out , thanks for reading and commenting too.

Thanks ltc_fireman, it’s something that you never loose right. Thought it was important to show how emergency services deal with the human side of the job, plus helps explain Jamie’s way of dealing with stuff, thanks for your kind words hope y’all enjoy the rest of the adventure.
