One kid deeply in the closet and trying anything he could to have some sort of contact with his crush, misguided and so teenagerish but that’s where Brady was, he called his son after Ember. Ember on the other hand like Brady in a way too, but Brady’s acting like a dick , made Ember think Brady hated him. The line between love and hate is so fine, both such strong emotions and mixed with teenage hormones, only being able to live in the moment, life Inexperience , etc all points to consider. I’m so loving this story, thank you @Roe St. Alee it’s awesome. I’ve been thinking for a bit on Carter and Jackson, understanding that Jackson has had time to work through in his mind and own sweet time his sexuality , feelings, support of his family etc. Where as (going from what we know todate) Carter is new to the game, and a whole lot of thoughts and feelings must be occupying him. I think he’s done an awesome job of reconciling his feelings for Jackson, and also Beth, probably not best practice but fir a young guy, pretty damn good. And like most us males agonising over the decision because we're (speaking for myself here) pretty crappy at the whole verbalising feelings and emotions in your late teens or even 40’s haha, and can reach for the autodestruction button quickly. So hold on Jackson, Beth is hurt and probably knows there’s something going on between you and Carter and wants to slow roast you, her comments were plainly that, plus she’s a ... He danced with you Jackson, he asked you to the dance and at your pace. Stay out in the sunlight with Carter, don’t step back into the shadows of dispare buddy. Have an awesome day all 😎

thanks, @droughtquake there are loads of shared experiences and similarities both in the culture here and also the topography, climate and so on. I see things in the states and about on average they appear here some years later. it's interesting and strange at the same time in some ways. thanks for the comments and following along, have a great day.

To Brady’s defence yes he kissed Ember, Ember went all handsie and the realisation of Embers state kicked Brady back to sanity, trust me we would never write anything that was non consensual.
