That would be nice in an ideal world, but one of the reasons most packs are small or spread out over a large area like Sebastian’s is because so many shifters in one place would attract too much attention from humans. If 5000 "people" suddenly inundated a relatively small resort in Montana, somebody's going to notice. Also if all the small packs sent their most able bodied fighters, and they were killed it would leave that pack with little protection. (Say a pack had 25 members and 5 or 6 go to help and then die, they lose 20% of their pack... devastating) Logistically, it would be too hard to coordinate the influx of so many shifters, not to mention Sebastian would have to thoroughly vet everyone which would take too long. Then there is language differences too. Nice idea though.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time on the individual pups' healings because if I did there would be too many chapters just on that with the sheer number of pups and the story wouldn't get very far. But there will be a bit more. @weinerdog thinks he's a Rottweiler when he tries to guard that top spot. Poor thing.

At some point you'll need to check out Storyverse. ryverseit was a fun little spoof project I did with @astone2292. Only 6 chapters. You'll enjoy Iron Moms.

Well they are over 700. Not sure yet. I've got a helluva lot of characters to keep track of as it is. But if they don't make more than a cursory appearance, who knows.. they may get their own story some day.

Like I've mentioned, chapters like these are sometimes a necessity in storytelling. Occasionally, there's a long stretch of road between points A&B and the only thing of interest in between is the World's Largest Ball of Twine. Sometimes that turns out quite fascinating.
