    Chapter 29

We still have a lot of clean up to do. My yard is a mess but will have to wait until the parks are done. We were all going to work today but the owner said everyone was to take the day off to rest. Ft. Myers and Sanibel are 50ish miles south of me. That's how close we came to total devastation here. Freaking scary.

    Chapter 29

Tyler nearly jumped out of his skin when wings beat against the window of the van. He'd been sitting in a semi-stupor with the AC on, the late heat of the day just starting to loosen its grip. Christ! Elijah needs to stop doing that! He quickly rolled the window down, surprised when Elijah didn't get in the van before shifting. Instead, in the blink of an eye, a very naked Elijah stood at the window. "Quick! Pull the van into the driveway. Cameron’s alive!" That was all his frien

Ok, now that I'm back on track with this story (damn life getting in the way) Oh what a tangled web you weave... Tsk.. Tsk Zack. You should know better than to lie to Will.

    Chapter 1

I had no idea when I wrote this how much impact it would have. I wrote it in about a week and after sending it through editing and then fixing some issues and submitting it to the anthology team I had second thoughts and wished I could have edited it some more. In hindsight I'm now glad I didn't. The story is exactly how it needed to be. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave a review. (Something a certain editor who goes by @Carlos Hazday never bothered to do....geesh... might have to banish him to his own "special" corner)

    The King

I have read both of those and thoroughly enjoyed. Gnomie has the next chapter. I'll send it once she's done and I've gone thru it. It's been more than a little crazy in my life this past week. This is where I'm currently at....

Kudos my friend. A job well done. I do enjoy a good spin in a fun fantasy world and you spun me around like a ride on a tilt-o-whirl. Looking forward to the rest!

Sorry to disappoint. I just got nothing left. But don't worry, once I recharge it'll be game on.

I think the hurricane aftermath did a decent job of knocking me back down to earth. My exhaustion is tired beyond exhaustion.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond. Vacation then dealing with a hurricane..... you know, perfectly normal shit. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

    Chapter 28

Y'all are the best Korner Krew I could ask for and with that I have to ask that you be a little more patient with me. I'll be working everyday for the foreseeable future until we get the residents taken care of. I have 234 homes to fully assess. I managed to get to 111 today. My feet and knees are completely pissed at me and I don't have the heart to break it to them that we have to do this all over again in the morning. Love you guys! 😘❤
  20. Dammit... you didn't send me one of those for my birthday! Happy Birthday @Wayne Gray! Ya old fart!😘
  21. Thanks molly. We made it through okay. It was pretty scary for a while. We had gusts over 100mph and way more rain than was expected. No damage to our house but a lot of branches and debris from the 3 big oak trees we have. The community I work in sustained heavy damages. We are still assessing and there's a crew from several of our northern properties arriving today to help with clean up and making sure our resident's homes are secure. I'm glad you're back with us. @rickproehl I hope the second opinion yields a better course of treatment for you. I've got another busy day ahead of me but at least I was able to sleep last night. Have a good day everyone!

    Chapter 28

We have crews from our properties up north coming in today to help with clean up. My boss will be here which I'm happy about. It will prevent me from doing bodily harm to the idiot manager next door. He's pissed me off way too much this week. Hopefully I can go home tonight and make sure chapter 29 is ready to go and post it tomorrow. I had every intention of doing it last night but couldn't keep my eyes open, let alone focused. I was in bed before 8:00. Maybe you guys will settle down then and behave.

    Chapter 28

Thanks. We had gusts over 100mph. The wind howled all day and all night. If that wasn't bad enough I had to share a queen air mattress with the hubs and 2 bed hogging dogs. I gave up around 4 this morning.

    Chapter 28

I have not had time for coffee today. Maybe that's why I nearly bit someone's head off when they insisted I call the power company to inform them a transformer was blown and they had no electricity. *bangs head against wall*. Also I have lost count of how many people I've had to tell that the water is off because the county shut it off. Not. The. Park. I have no idea when it's being turned back on. I'm running on a couple of hours of frequently interrupted sleep and I get really cranky when I'm tired. I had my water shoes on earlier because I had to take pictures of the damages. Flip flops are currently residing on my feet, but I'm inside at the moment. Just gave my guys some $$ to pick up lunch. We have a scrapper coming in to haul away debris. I'll leave the heavy lifting to them. I'll be out after lunch seeing who needs help with what. The residents are the first priority. Overall there's a lot of damage but it could have been much worse. If the storm had come ashore 25 miles north of where it did we would have been screwed.
