Exactly. Children don't tend to be the protagonists in evil acts. They may ne coerced into participating in atrocities, but they don't have the knowledge or mental maturity to come up with such plots.

Yes, the first part is all love and family. It drives home how important both are to Elijah. Kage apologist... a new term to add to my author profile. Kage (and the author) has standards and code to live by. I can't imagine him ever willingly killing a child.

No comment on the first paragraph. The Williamsons are a perfect surrogate family for Elijah. The next chapter 🤔 won't confirm or deny the presence of peril, but I will confirm the funniest line I've ever come up with is in that chapter. What's not funny about a girly scream coming from a guy?🤣🤣

I try to bring real life emotions into my stories and make it as realistic as possible. Thanks for the kudos. @astone2292 liked the girly scream too. Kage knows exactly what it is he feels for Elijah. He's still reluctant to admit it to himself.
