Okay, I know... I'm a little late to this party but I'm going to share my thoughts anyway because.... I can. First: The material had long since yellowed with age, but it still had no holes and would keep any rain off his head. Honestly, I read this and the exact thought that crossed my brain was; "Oh Hell, he's going to make it rain!" Thank you for not making it rain. Second: I'm with everyone else. Let the 'Joe and Jake' boulder in your brain pick up speed as it barrels down those synapses. Third: Pete needs a story too. We all need to run into a Pete in our lives. He's a great character. Fourth and final: 52 is NOT old dammit! Thanks Wayne! 😉

BTW... sorry it's taken me a while to respond to some of you. It's been a crazy busy day, work was nonstop. But....I did get a pedicure and spent a fun couple of hours with an awesome friend. My toes are happy! Plus the dogs are walked and now I can kick back for a couple hours before it's time to hit the hay and start the whole cycle over tomorrow. At least I'm only working 5 hours tomorrow instead of 10.

Thank you! A lot of you were in the right grocery store, wrong aisle. You should all know by now... I'm usually lurking in the messy clearance aisle with all the crazy shit nobody wants, but you know damn well there's a real bargain in there somewhere! Honestly...it was a choice between Marc Greene and Gregory House 🤣

Thanks Mags.... I try to buffer the harshness of these scenes as best as I can. The emotion that has to be portrayed is often difficult to execute as a writer and as such your reaction is truly appreciated.

Real question is...exactly how many twists can she come up with? 😉

Sane...but they got issues. The dear Doctor's fate will be addressed. 🤐 Ok...Kyle gets to remain sane! Thanks for commenting!

The gift that keeps on giving has Energizer batteries... Kyle and Megan have more sorting out to do than Michelle Duggar in her laundry room! They're gonna work on it. Not sure you can top this bombshell with another... 🤔 Challenge accepted! (Whiskey....I drink whiskey, preferably peanut butter)

Daytona 500 speed more likely. It was really tough to write. I question myself with these types of scenes. There's a fine line between being a writer and a psychopath. Kyle and Megan are going to address their situation shortly. Major damage control needed.

Her therapist must have nerves of steel to try to help her cope.

There's major fallout. That's for sure. I'm right there with you with losing track of the day. I keep trying to put May on my paperwork...ugh.

Kim is a damn rock. Stronger than me that's for sure.

There might be another twist or two. Thanks for your comment!

I'm not a huge opera fan. I do appreciate the amazing voices though. Classical music I'm definitely on board with...partial to brass, especially horns📯💙. This, however, blew me away when I first saw it: 10 years old. WOW!

Kyle stared at the sight of Jett holding a crying Kim in his arms. He was touched by the tender streak that the man he was dating was showing. It was more than obvious that Kim had not fared well during her weekend away. Kyle went inside Jett’s house and grabbed a box of Kleenex that was in the bathroom off the kitchen. Kim gratefully accepted it when she pulled away from Jett. “I’m sorry.” she said. “It was a rough weekend in more than one way.” “Do you want to talk about it?”

So I've made a rather startling discovery about myself. In my quest to improve my general health and outcome on life I've been trying to challenge myself to try new foods and do new things. You've heard about the food...lol. So for the new things part, I decided to try to write something for the Flash Fiction Challenge. Does anyone realize how difficult it is for someone like me to limit themselves to 1000 words? But I did it. With 6 words to spare. 🤭 Now I just have to gather the courage to submit it. 🤔 Hope everyone has a Fantastic Friday! (I have another toe date tonight....aaaahhhh pedicures!🙂)

That is absolutely adorable! Not to mention brilliant....keeps the little critters out of his house. Thanks Reader!

They would....but in Florida the AC never craps out on a Mon, Tues or Wed. It's always at the end of the week and when you're at the mercy of the contractors the management company uses, it means you're gonna have no AC for at least a few days. It's most likely to happen in August or September when the heat and humidity is brutal and the heat index is in triple digits. Oh...and they don't have any more window or portable units to loan out. Been there. Done that. 😂🙄

Yup...our A/C is on almost all year. Even when it's cool out, the setting is still on. The thermostat will get set higher so it doesn't kick in. On rare occasions if we're having a cold snap the switch might get flicked onto heat. But only if it drops below 65 in the house. Our AC unit is over 20 years old... I'm just hoping it lasts until our lease is up and we can move!

That would be quite the show I'm sure!

Powerful words to express one of the most powerful sets of emotions. Rage, anger, despair, sadness. Senseless killings. For what? Thanks for expressing your thoughts tim.

Update: it was the battery, so I only lost 1.5 hours. On a bright note.... I'm old fashioned and listen to the local radio station on my way to work. (Spotify in the afternoon). I won $25.00 for a local restaurant. They have various contests and today's was 'Celebrity Talk'. They play a clip from a TV show or movie and you have to guess who the actor is. I got through and guessed Hugh Laurie correctly. Yay! I guess staying positive and calm paid off this morning. I used to pitch a fit when things like that happened. Other than the initial "oh shit" when the car wouldn't turn over I just told myself to suck it up and don't whine. Hopefully the rest of the day stays bright. Have a good one everybody!

Awww...sorry Chris. Sibling relationships suck sometimes. Don't be sorry. This is a safe landing zone for ranting and unloading 😄. Hope you feel better soon. Speaking of ranting....my car won't start this morning. I'm waiting for AAA to show up. Hopefully it's just the battery. 😕

Win for today: I love it when a food experiment comes out way better than you thought. I'm on my own for dinner tonight and old me probably would've stopped for fast food. New me decided on a veggie omelet with a bit of a twist. I had a bag of cauliflower rice(supposedly with carrots and peas, but they were rather skimpy) so I used that, tossed in some fresh spinach, sort of stir fried it with about a tablespoon of Sweet Thai Chili sauce until the spinach wilted, then poured 3 eggs in and added a little bit of feta cheese. This will most certainly be on my list of things I need to make again. It was really, really good. Hope everyone has a nice quiet evening!
