I wouldn't exactly call them bumps... Maybe more like obstacles that can only be overcome if you Dukes of Hazzard over them like the General Lee!🤭😂

It's back to being overcast today. The sun is supposed to peek in and out today. I'll believe it when I see it. It's been 5 days of cold, raw and rain. Hubby and I had a little spat this morning. Pretty sure the crappy weather contributed. I'll listen to anything upbeat or if I'm by myself I'll put my U2 playlist on.

This is my favorite version of this song!

We finally saw the sun today for the first time since we left Florida. Figures, only one more day left. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Jett is pretty badass. Bruce is definitely pretty badass! Kim's story is coming up soon. You're smart to be worried.

Yeah...cats...🙄 The friendly ones are okay... it's the psycho, neurotic ones that freak me out. They seem to be more prevalent. We always stay at my mother-in-law's when we visit. During the pandemic she got a cat because she couldn't have company. My husband is allergic so I ended up getting an Airbnb. It's an apartment in a 120 yr old Tudor mansion. Luckily he hasn't reacted this visit so it looks we dodged a bullet. I love the quirkiness of the place. There's a lot of old Victorian homes in the area too and I've always loved them. This place has creaky wood floors, lead glass windows that work on a chain and pulley, slanted ceilings cuz we're in the converted attic and there's a ton of dormers. Beautiful wood baseboards and trim. Not to mention the old fashion cast iron radiator that will burn your skin off if you touch it! I love New England. It's home.

I was on a jalapeno kick for a while and was adding them to damn near everything. I didn't add too many at a time so they didn't bother me. I chuckled as I wrote the Butterbutt mishap.

Toddler snot is a fact of life for every mom. Even though it's been many years since my kids were toddlers I figured it was worth throwing into the story. 🤭 In case you haven't figured it out I'm a dog person. Definitely not a cat person.... hence a little harmless cat torture. 🤣🤣 I'm glad you're enjoying it so far!

Kim's secrets will see the light of day soon. We're getting a little more rain tomorrow morning and then it dries out Tuesday. We fly home Wed. Figures. Enjoy the rest of your long weekend!

I used to be all about family. The older I've gotten, the stupider some of my immediate and in-law family has become. I'm much more comfortable getting together with a few select family members who are still relatively normal and a few close friends who absolutely 'get' me. They are a good match. Jett and Kyle get to some of their own slobbering in the next chapter!🤣🤣🤣 My little piggies promised to not turn blue as long as I didn't confine them today. So far... so good. 😂

Maybe next time. Now that everything is opened up again I'm hoping to make it up here once a year.

Thanks Chris! Jett and Bruce do make a great team. Both guys are busy and will take whatever opportunity presents itself to get together.

When you start writing him. 🤣

Yeah.... not the ideal weather. We wanted to go up to Salem today but.... I still put my flip flops on today. We're heading down to Rhode Island and I can't spend another day in socks and ankle boots.

Jett’s adrenaline was pumping as he ran with Bruce, the dog’s nose nearly flush to the ground. He was ahead of Jett by the full length of his twenty foot lead. Jett wished he could run as fast as his four-legged partner. Bruce was on the trail of a perp who had kidnapped his ex-girlfriend’s little girl. He had abandoned his car and taken off on foot through residential neighborhoods and then into the adjacent state park. The child was only three and the ex-boyfriend was a convicted felon with a

I spent most of the day with my best friend. She's more like a sister to me really. We had her and her husband over tonight and got take out and played Cards Against Humanity. We laughed so much my sides hurt. I have no idea what set us off but we had one of those episodes where you laugh so hard no sound comes out and you can't breathe. It felt so good. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing friendship that has endured our entire lives. It's rare and I treasure it. We all need "that person" and she's mine. ❤ Have a good night everyone!

Life throws us daily challenges. Yes, you and tim are very lucky. So many couples lack the solid communication skills you've developed and fostered in your relationship. So many physiological things can affect our moods, it's impossible to recognize them all. Now you know what to watch out for. Thankfully you're both okay.

We went to bed last night with the AC on... the room we have was kinda stuffy. Froze our tails off this morning. The temp had dropped down into the upper 40s. Oops. I absolutely love the quirky charm this place has. Wonky, uneven floors...everything creaks when you walk (sorry downstairs neighbors!). The heat is a mix of baseboards and cast iron radiators. The windows still have the old pulleys, although they've upgraded from rope to chains. Every room is oddly shaped and has slanted ceilings because of all the dormers. @MichaelS36, unfortunately you'd definitely hit your head on the ceilings. Not tall people friendly. The house was built in 1920 by an owner of one of the local paper mills. It escaped the tornado that blew thru 10 years ago. The mansion across the street got hit. It's all boarded up now. Gorgeous views of the Connecticut River Valley. I'm in my happy place.

OMFG....too damn cute! That alpaca! @mollyhousemouse is right... confused as heck! Wonder if it works on kids? 🤣 Well..... we made it to Mass. Flight from BWI to BDL was 45 minutes late because they didn't have enough baggage handlers to load luggage. The pilots made up for it once in the air.... pedal to the metal and instead of an hour flight it was 45 min. So we only got in 20 minutes late. Still was after 11. The Airbnb we have is amazing. It's an old Tudor mansion that was converted into apartments. We're on the 3rd floor, the ceilings are slanted the floors are beautiful hardwood. It's huge. Absolutely charming! If you appreciate architecture you'd love it. Well I've been up since 5am... 20 hours and I'm ready for zzzzzz's Goodnight all!
