I'd love to say it was tough to write, but it wasn't. Me and my best friend used to fight when we were kids and not talk to each other for 2-3 months. We laugh about it now, but back then we were seriously bitchy to each other. We've been friends our entire lives though, so I guess things can work out!

Took the dogs for their walk tonight. Got onto the long street and thought "Wow, glad that rain is off in the distance." as I'm watching a downpour to the southeast. Yeah.... that was a fast moving storm. Made it 3/4 of the way home before the sky opened. Came around the last corner and saw my husband pulling out of our driveway.... then driving off in the opposite direction. He thought I did the short walk because my knees were bothering me. Nope... I stuck to the long route. Oh well.... I'm not gonna melt. Zeke went straight for my closet, which now smells like wet dog. Gonna have to Febreeze in there when he's dried off. Been quiet in here lately, hope everyone is doing okay.

Kyle might be a smart vet.... but sometimes he's a dumb human. Jett wasn't going to let him get away with that kind of shit. Stress affects us all differently. Kudos to Jett for recognizing that Kyle needed a little time and then confronted head on.

He's adorable! Unfortunately, cool and dry is going to be nonexistent in my neck of the woods for the next 2-3 days. It's hot and sunny now, but rain moving in right about when I need to drive home. Thanks for sharing Rick! Hope everyone else has a good day!

I think the timing was not right for the security discussion. I'm pretty sure Kyle is more stressed out about the upcoming hearing than he's admitting to. Does it excuse his behavior? Nope. Jett was right to confront him. Maybe it was just a little borderline bully-ish. I think Kyle needed a little dose of tough love.

No kidding! It's grossly humid here today as well as hot....ick. Bruce is focused on his career right now. Rosie might need to be patient. They're cuddling on one dog bed... so that's progress. Right? 🤭

Jett broke down the cardboard box and threw it on the small pile of already discarded boxes ready to be put out for recycling. He laughed when he saw the box that his dad had labeled ‘Dildos, Blow Up Dolls and Fleshlights’. It had been full of high school memorabilia. I enjoyed this story very much. Although as a mom it breaks my heart to think that there are so many kids and young adults who are afraid to tell their parents that they're gay. I get angry when I hear about parents who reject their child because of who they love. I can't imagine creating, giving birth to and nurturing a child only to turn your back on them because they love someone of the same sex, different race or belief system. Abe has great parents. (The only part I found incredulous was Air Canada handing out bottled water and an actual meal, not to mention pillow and blanket..... does that still exist? 🤔) lol. Great job tim!

Independence Day. 4th of July. Times have changed and so have I. The older I get, the more I appreciate the freedoms I have. Many places in the world are vastly different. I don't delve into politics, it's too touchy a subject for many. But knowing that I can, if I chose to is something I appreciate. Every government has its flaws. The U.S. is no exception. Despite this, we still can express ourselves freely, no matter what our views. Freedom is often taken for granted. So, Happy 4th to all who are celebrating today. Enjoy a burger or a hot dog and don't forget the watermelon!

Things are not looking good for the Gulf coast for this week. Elsa just need to go. I'm already tired of the 'Frozen' memes all over the place. Hopefully it stays a tropical storm. We've had so much rain lately, flooding will be an issue for sure. Not looking forward to the winds either. Checklist for today includes swapping out the propane tank on the grill and getting a couple of cases of water and filling the empty bottles that we have. The loose stuff on the lanai will have to go into the garage too. *Sigh* Hurricane season is a pain!
