Well, I'm happy to say that the wedding was beautiful. It was at a horse farm and everything was outside. It was warm during the ceremony and we were in the shade of the barn. It was the first wedding that I've been to that the word 'god' was not mentioned once. It was refreshing. Mom saw her sister for the first time in over a year. Granted she had no idea who she was at first. I'm glad we went. I didn't have to interact with my brother or sil very much. I did have some guy come over and stand there and stare at me. I finally asked him who he was. He said 'Larry' .... Me: *blank stare* Ten seconds later it hit me. It was my sister in laws brother. I hadn't seen him since our nephews christening. I was godmother he was godfather. That was 24 years ago and he's completely bald now 😳. The wedding gave me hope that things will start getting better. I feel lucky that I live in a climate where interacting with people outdoors is possible pretty much year round. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.

Christ on a cracker.... what a day! Not sure if the resident is going to be charged with attempted murder or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon but... in either case I now get to learn the ropes of the eviction process. He went after one if the local lawn guys with a loaded shotgun and a knife. Another resident recorded it on her cell phone. So the police have hard evidence. We'll see what happens. I'm just glad no one got hurt. It's a sad situation however. It seems like this resident is having a mental health crisis or has serious substance abuse issues. Hopefully he'll be properly evaluated and can get some help. Things apparently started escalating a few days ago. I heard (but of course can't confirm because it's all rumor mill) that he had been exposing himself, soliciting sexual acts and brandishing his shotgun several times. He also was telling people that he was turning his house into a "mouse house" and was going to do the same to everyone else's homes. His carport was like a scene from 'Hoarders' as was what I could see from the open door to his kitchen area. If we end up getting possession of the home it's going to be a nightmare. When I first started hearing these things on Monday I kept telling everyone to call 911 if he kept acting that way. Of course no one did until it escalated today. I wish I could drill it into their heads that calling the police is the first thing that should happen. I'm sure @MichaelS36would agree that the cops would rather come out and assess the situation and find nothing wrong rather than having it escalate to the point where a SWAT team needs to be called in, helicopters are swarming and streets are shut down. (That happened a few years ago with the previous manager next door and ended up in a hostage situation and the hostage taker ended up dead) After I take my kid to work I think I just might have to kick back with some whiskey tonight. I sorta need it.

I think I need a bulk case of pepper spray.

Oy... I seriously, seriously can't make this stuff up. I currently have the Sherriffs department in my community arresting a resident for attempted murder. I hope my seat belt is buckled tight for this ride!

Interesting chapter. I'm thinking that Ethan has a lot of inner turmoil relating to the violence in his past. It's too soon to really pin Michael's distrust on anything other than he is currently depending on Ethan to keep him safe and he may see Jonathan as a threat to that safety. Ethan has some serious anxiety and most likely PTSD that will need to be addressed at some point. Lots of ways to develop the storyline. Should be interesting to see where you lead us.

I rested today. I'm still not feeling great but it's getting better. I'm hoping that I'm back up to 100% before my regional manager comes back down to train me. I need to have all pistons firing to deal with him. Upper management never tells us exactly when they're going to show up, but our bets are on this week. Next week at the very latest. Hey all, it's been a rough-ish week. Every plant that's not a palm tree has decided to crank out pollen in copious amounts the past couple of weeks. My head has been in a vise. Plus I haven't had a decent night's sleep in at least a week and a half. Waking up 8-10 times a night sucks. Add in getting vaccinated and hit with body aches and fatigue... I have no idea what symptom belongs to what cause. All I know is that when I'm tired I'm cranky, when I'm exhausted I'm bitchy. I don't like being around bitchy me. My social skills have been lacking. I'm just happy me and hubby got our 1st shots, Mom got hers too. Florida is opening up vaccinations to 18+ on April 5 so I'll get an appointment for my younger son and ride my older one to get his. Hope everyone else is doing okay.

Now that I've caught up I figure it's a good time to comment. I'm really enjoying the story so far. You have a way of showing your character's emotions through your words. Ethan's anxiety is palpable. Nice job with the poetry too. I'm not normally a huge fan, but other writers have enlightened me. There are some good resources on this site for poets. Looking forward to more.

One thing I really love about re-reading these chapters is the titles. Soooo much better than the "Boss Nanny Chapter 1/Boss Nanny Chapter 2," etc., The titles fit perfectly. Especially this one. (Although if Matt has superpowers does that make Seamus his Lois Lane? Or better yet..Robin? 🤣) Nevermind me... I'm waaaaaaaaaay overtired. I also enjoy reading the comments. Matt....still so clueless. Seamus.... 🤐

I'm a band mom...4 years of my Friday nights from August thru November spent making sure high school kids got to where they needed to be with what they needed to have with them. Then 4 years of diligently watching any FSU game on Saturdays just hoping for a glimpse of my boy. They focus too much on the football players...😂... what's up with that? (The games on ESPN Fridays are usually top seeded teams to bring in ratings)

More like rolling my eyes so far back in my head that I can hear my mom's voice telling me my face will freeze that way 🤣🤣 (I was away this weekend and therefore refrained from reminding you with the last chapter that college football games are on Saturday.
