Huntington deserved to rot. If none of our guys had the pleasure if killing him, it was fitting that they could rest easy knowing there would be no one left to mourn him.
I just finished wirh my edits on the next chapter and totally forgot I addressed the purpose of the Sentinels. It should address @Salerions concern over how the battle was fought.
I am glad those in Texas did not suffer any serious damage;
Umm.. hello? Mikey’s kitchen got torched! 🤣🤣
I think we can all agree that Kage will never truly leave us. ❤️
Like Cassiel said, Kage will always be a part of Elijah and his protector. Not to mention, I can't let him go. He became a very special character in my heart.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Huntington was doomed because of his conceited opinion of himself.
His monsters were created from alligators and combined with human/shifter and vampire DNA. There weren't any actual humans or vampires within the creature, just the genetic material. At least I think so. Whatever the case may be, Asa couldn’t fix them so their deaths were a mercy killing. That's probably what @Cane23 was referring to.
The Vann talk is coming.
No head biting, I promise. It's ok to have a different opinion.
The original battle against Maven pitted just the Sentinels against the Fae. This time around, they had the help of a shapeshifter, shadow shifters, a light and fire shifter, and a few Fae creatures thrown in for good measure.
The hardest part of doing a series like this is having so many characters, especially spread over 3 stories.
There's still another chapter, you never know what might happen. Lol.
I've had to fix a few other things too.
That's what I get for not making sure Word saved my changes. It wouldn't be a issue if GA and Google docs would get along, but having to convert to Word throws another step in there, which means more double-checking. I literally made changes right up until I hit 'save chapter'.
Asa didn't have much left, energy-wise. Most of the shifters were able to let their wolves handle their injuries.
Huntington outright lied. Posturing on his part.
The greatest compliment an author can get is knowing they provoked a range of emotions in one chapter. Thank you.
Tying three stories together is no easy task. I'm sure there are plenty questions that will never be answered, but c'est la vie.
I think Caleb is more scared of the impending conversation with Vann than he was of this confrontation.
Red herrings have become a specialty, I guess. Not really sure how it even happened, but I do enjoy a blindside every now and again.
Let's just say Caleb was a little pissed-off at the monster for hurting him.
...his death would have effectively ended Sebastian, too.
This is exactly why Asa healed Reilly. The shifter world needs Sebastian and he wouldn't survive Reilly dying.
It's always the women who have to clean up the mess guys make.
Kage will forever be enmeshed with Elijah's heart and soul. Mine too.
