The Drop In Centre 3

I think someone had a great idea. Ive added apples to my shopping list. I will be baking either today or tomorrow. There's just too much stuff to do around this house. That's what happens when nobody else wants to step up and help out their 91 year old mother. Some of these issues have been issues for years. Enjoy your apple brownies tim! Have a good day everyone! -

I've cut my own hair for years and I buzzed hubby and the boys for many years. I still do the husbands but the kids are on their own. (Unless the younger one decides he doesn't want long hair anymore lol). Mine is pretty long right now. I need to trim the back but it's at an awkward length for me to do it myself. So it'll keep growing until I decide to chop it all off. Which I've done before. Our humidity ticked up today. I was inside all day "working". (Yeah, got some writing done and managed 9400 steps pacing while listening to an audiobook). Its pizza for us for dinner as I did not take anything out of the freezer. Enjoy the rest of your weekend y'all! -
Hopefully not too much longer. 🤞

The Krew should sharpen its reflex time. You never know...it might be needed soon.

Ok Wayne, let's talk. Beside him, Taggert didn’t drink right away. He held the glass loosely, watching the room, not tense, exactly, but not relaxed either. His gaze flicked from the door to the bar, to the people at the tables. Always moving. Always aware. Whatever Taggart has been through has honed his situational awareness to a razor sharp point. The man always knows what's going on around him. Is it a good thing? Probably. Could it be a bad thing? Potentially. We shall see. Then there's this: Close enough to catch the way his eyes flicked, not to the table, not to the room-- To Ash's lips. Then up to his eyes. And they stayed there for a beat. Looks like Ash's situational awareness skillz are pretty sharp too. Then we end this way: He didn’t dare move. Not with Taggert leaning into him like that. Not with whatever the hell this was sitting heavy in his chest and in the pit of his stomach. And lower. That part didn’t make any sense at all. And it wasn't going anywhere Somebody's inner gay boy is waking up. Question is...how long will it take him to figure it out? Well played Wayne.

I've been in such a slump for the past 2 years. I started 2 stories, stalled, then started a 3rd. I think the 3rd time is a charm though because I just finished up chapter 17 and have a pretty clear vision of how I want the rest of it to go. Its been a long road, but I think I'm close to the end. Good luck with your prologue! Have a good day everyone! -

Still in Florida huh? That totally fits. The amount of residential building they've been doing the past few years is insane. Part of the reason I left. -

Pretty sure I've been cast as one of the crazy sidekicks. 🤣🤪 -
I'm kinda following the same line of thinking as that pesky @weinerdog, maybe something along the lines of Yellowstone. Taggart definitely has PTSD, but what caused it is still a mystery. Its obvious that root cause is his "disagreement with the management" at his last job. Nice work Wayne.

We are home safe and sound. I already miss the kids. Oh, and this derpy dog. The poster pup for the saying "lights are on and nobody's home". His name is Toaster. It fits him. -

Things you don't want to hear when you're at a boarding gate: Ladies and gentlemen, there will be a slight delay boarding flight 1234 while we wait for incoming passengers to deplane. The captain has informed us that there is a ....... thing.......with the plane and will advise us as to when we can begin boarding. Thankfully not my flight. But really, a thing? Thats a new one for me. 😳 One leg down, one to go. Have a good day everyone! -
Yeah, I know I'm late to the game. I'm actually in Kansas for one more night visiting my boy and his wife. These vacations go by too fast! Anyways.... Taggert froze, eyes down on the ground, his jaw clenched. Taggert shifted his weight. His fingers flexed once, then stilled. I think Taggart is a wee bit more than skittish. He's got secrets and/or baggage. a squirt of sour cream - as opposed to a splork or a even a dollop? Nice choice of words Wayne. **Makes grabby hands** More! More! More! Can't wait for the next installment.

Its a good sign that tim wants his knitting. I'm happy he's going home. We are very much enjoying our vacation but it's going by too fast. Give tim a hug from me. -

We're off to Kansas tonight to see my elder spawn for his birthday. I'm not a fan of taking the last flight of the day but it made the most sense as they have a wedding this afternoon. We don't get in until just after midnight. His birthday is Tuesday and for his present I got us tickets to see the Royals get beaten by the dreaded Yankees. But I did spring for decent seats so we'll have fun. I'm so excited to see my son and daughter-in-law. Hopefully the flights are on time. 🤞 Have a good weekend everyone! -

So far Kitt holds the longevity trophy. I've been with my hubby for 40 years, married for almost 34. It's been a lot of ups and downs. Marriage isn't a smooth, straight road, that's for sure. It's easy to love someone and want to smack them upside the back of the head at the same time. I'm positive he thinks the same way about me lol. -

Get the mattress. Worth every penny. We had to get a new stove in November and I convinced my MIL to spend the extra $100 for the model that had the steam cleaning feature. I know tim likes the new kitchen toys. -
My dear friend, I'm sorry that you are fighting a battle not very many people can even dare to fathom. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment. The best you can do is listen to what your doctors as suggest and weigh the pros and cons carefully and hope to hell something will help again. People say, you'll be okay, just rest, take care of yourself, just take a walk, get fresh air. Presently, i'm struggling to do any of those things. Of course to you're struggling. You've dealt with a lot in the past year. Your struggles are real. It might suck, and you might not feel like it but it's good that Michael is dragging your ass out for a walk and Brutus needs to sniff every blade of grass just to find 'the right spot'. You know I'm just a click away and will listen if you need to vent. Hugs xoxo ❤️

Its good to get out of the house to eat on hot days. Its in the upper 80s here and I went out with a friend for a pedicure and late lunch. So, in other words, the boys are on their own for dinner. I'm not going to be hungry lol. They'll survive. There's plenty of leftovers and if they're desperate I think there's a frozen pizza downstairs. Glad you're enjoying your new air fryer!
