It’s true that Will lacks information but unless Mike just made up his data there’s no denying the charity isn’t helping as many people as it can. That should be easy to verify.

You know you’re getting old when you can see both sides but while hating their approach lean more towards agreeing with the parents. I’m getting ancient.

Having already read past this I’m conflicted as I do later feel sorry for him to some extent. I also at this time hadn’t realized he’s being expected to pay for the house which is just sensible so that’s something. The main issue I had with this plan is that it felt manipulative towards Johnny.

Doesn’t seem like the charity is a sham exactly but it’s priorities aren’t exactly the best. Same goes for Will so to speak as wtf? He’s objects to criticism of the charity’s director because… he’s hot. The only reference that might support his being qualified for his job is that Stef spoke apparently highly of him and this isn’t the first time Will has referenced Stef thinking highly of someone described as being attractive putting more emphasis on their appearance than anything else. Stef is smart so I suspect he’s likely qualified but the emphasis in this description of him is his appearance and outgoing personality. 🙄 Will means well and clearly cares about the charity helping people yet I can’t help finding his thought process a little strange, though maybe you could blame it on him being high.

The charity comment could mean anything and none of the possibilities would surprise me.

This is screwed up. Brad & Jake don’t have a healthy relationship making me think they might be better off divorced.

Wow I misjudged Brad. I agree with Will that this whole thing makes no sense and I’ll never understand such honor nonsense especially in this case. I can’t believe Jake is so desperate to clear his record, of being dishonorably discharged for being gay 🙄, that he’s willing to risk serving 4 years in another country.

Damn I thought Brad & Jake had a good relationship. I don’t want to blame Brad without all the facts… but I mean it’s Brad. 🙄

Damn, 😂 you’ve got to love Johnny as that was a good move.

The Alabama incest jokes just feel lazy and overdone. We have plenty of other things you can make fun of us for. I feel sorry for Patrick yet I’m also conflicted regarding his reasoning. He says he didn’t know Johnny was there because he convinced himself he was Will but that technically means that he in a sense ignored Will telling him to stop. I know I’m reading too much into it as I’m sure it’s implying he was so out of it mentally that he didn’t hear a word Johnny said. You know you’re rich when you buy someone you don’t even like a Rolex.

Ok, NOW I feel like his protectiveness of Patrick makes sense to me. Seems like his feelings for Patrick are deeper than I realized or recalled them being. Eh, I don’t know if the sex with Dustin, regardless of the racism, was worth the audience as that they may come back to bite him. Of course Will probably doesn’t care if a video of it gets posted online.

While I like that Patrick is expected to pay Will back overall I’m finding Will’s actions illogical especially given his own past experiences as well as the fact he essentially calls Patrick a rapist in this chapter. I could better understand if Patrick were someone like Zach who Will has deep feelings for. Patrick’s comments in this chapter do nothing to dissuade me from the belief that he’s getting off too easy. I also can’t help finding it strange that Will is also potentially planning to ignore Patrick’s wishes that he stay away from the fashion show. He needs to learn boundaries as he’s crossing a lot lately with getting himself involved in this in the first place, Johnny now pretty much living with him, buying that house, etc. I could see this potentially blowing up in his face in some way. Maybe he’s showing signs of inheriting his dad’s control freak nature.

I don’t agree with the general consensus that this solution is an amazing one as it feels one sided. I mean yes Johnny is getting something he wants yet it feels like Will is exploiting his emotions over his grandmother’s death in order to get what he wants which is to protect Patrick. Will essentially states outright that he’s bribing Johnny in order to save Patrick’s ass. I don’t think the most adequate punishment for Patrick not comprehending the word no is an argument with Johnny before two impartial judges though if that’s what will make Johnny happy I guess it’s fine. It just feels apparent if it weren’t for this bribe Patrick would likely be getting a more serious punishment and while I don’t know if his actions were at the level he should have his career ruined I think he should at least have been hit in the pocketbook.

The way Johnny worded it when telling Will about what happened he “might” have just been threatening to sue Patrick in order to freak him out yet I hope he does. The only thing is that while Johnny has the law on his side Patrick likely has a far more money on his. I could see him doing a lot of damage to Johnny in retribution including getting him blacklisted from modeling agencies.

While I can’t put it as as eloquently as JP I agree that Will shouldn’t just make assumptions based on his limited information, though I have to say Patrick’s own description of events paints the situation in a bad light. For one his comment indicating Johnny was only interested in oral sex but he ended up fucking him instead gives the impression that he pressured him into going further than he wanted to. Combine that with the fact he supplied a minor with alcohol prior to coming onto them and it just doesn’t look good at all. This might just be a one time thing yet I still would probably keep my distance from Patrick going forward if it were me.

Decided to catch back up with this story and while I really enjoyed this chapter overall I’m a tad disappointed in Will. I’m probably just being forgetful as this is unlikely to be the first chapter to reference him doing hard drugs yet does he have to live up to the complete set of rich kid stereotypes? He doesn’t exactly feel like the peer pressure type and it’s not like his life is boring so I was hoping he would steer clear of cocaine.

Finally decided to read this chapter and I forgot how easy it is to despise some of these characters. In some ways I’m starting to dislike the pastor more than Don which is amazing as I didn’t think such a thing were possible. He’s just so slimy. I’m predicting disaster come Sunday though that’s not exactly a shocking deduction as what else could possibly happen. Because it’s highly probable he will for various reasons given the right circumstances. The main thing that makes me think it’s especially likely in the case of Rory is how Robbie compared their relationship/friendship to his relationship with Tom. Robbie has also made it fairly clear from early on that he finds Rory attractive so I think he’d be extremely tempted if the opportunity ever presented itself. I don’t really see Robbie being tempted to cheat on Nathan with Matthew, though some dark part of me wishes it might happen just to see the pastor’s reaction when he inevitably found out. I don’t think Robbie would be invited to church ever again after that. 😂

Enjoying getting caught up but I see Robbie still has some growing up to do. Comments like “I preferred it when I had him to myself and when he looked more like a boy.” were what I was concerned about when they got back together. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I mean, we all have our preferences but hopefully he’ll come to appreciate that part of Nathan.

Sad to hear about Bernard & Mr Prentice as well as how Brett, Jeremy, Rani, and Tristan had to go on social security due to how the pandemic impacted their work. Nice to hear about Virginia’s charity work and especially uplifting to hear how Thomas clearly got the help he needed to help him work through his grief.

Very sweet ending to see Thomas show up with Jonathan’s help and Virginia’s clear happiness at having him there.

Nice to see Virginia & Desmond planning their wedding though now they’ve all got coronavirus to worry about. Catering jobs especially are surely going to drop off severely once the pandemic seriously gets in motion so I’m a little worried for everyone from both a health & financial standpoint as we know here in reality it has been hard for many people.

Glad to see so many people including Desmond & Virginia get out ok though sadly I’m sure not everyone did. Virginia has always seemed like a good soul so I’m not really surprised she felt inspired to get involved with charity work, though it is of course nice to see. As far as Jonathan & Lachlan go… Lachlan more power to you.

I definitely never foresaw this turn of events. With Matt mentioning his thinking about walking by Ricky’s house it gives the impression that he still lives in the same general area so it seems more than obvious that nobody ever tried to find him as I’d expect them to have likely succeeded if they put in any meaningful effort. I mean it wouldn’t be super easy but I’d think the cops would have found him by now if they looked hard enough. What did the cops and/or child services say about him being missing? I’d think they’d have a lot of questions for the pastor and his parents. Flashing back to the previous chapter his comment of “They made it sound like we were in danger.” is really throwing me for a loop as I now even more so cannot understand why the sheriff pulled his gun on them. I mean I thought “maybe” they falsely claimed Charles & Matt were armed yet if they seemed to portray them as in some sort of danger it blows that theory out of the water. I’m assuming Matt is going to run into Ricky and/or Charles while working at this club yet considering the surprise twist I don’t want to really try to predict anything.

The Divas “ice bucket challenge” fundraiser was very sweet to see. I presume, and it may have been mentioned when the couple was first introduced yet my memory is bad, that Brett & Jeremy have an open relationship. I’m hopeful that’s the case as obviously that would be for the best for multiple reasons but I do recall that Jeremy seemed irritated recently by Brett’s flirting making me wonder if I’ve made the wrong assumption. Hopefully no drama is on the horizon for them.

Interesting to see the contrast between the dire situation by the lake and the gayety at Divas. If the fire wasn’t bad enough before now they’ve had fuel added to it which doesn’t bode well for it going out anytime soon and we’re sadly reminded of the stark reality of how someone like Virginia would undoubtedly have fire insurance yet many other people in the same situation wouldn’t. While their lives are the most important things not having a house to return to is no small thing either. Like with the firefighters this may inspire Virginia to get involved locally such as seeking donations from her rich friends to help those who’ve lost their homes.
