Brett... He isn’t always the most reasonable or realistic. You’d think he’d have enough common sense to see public nudity wouldn’t be widely accepted and yet his only thoughts were to hire security. No offense to Brett yet it’s been mentioned that their business is sorta of niche so I don’t know if a huge selection of the public would even want to see waxing period let alone genital waxing & bleaching so he seems overly hyped up on his idea considering he was thinking about paying for security, though I appreciate his passion. I see Thomas being given a lot of credit assuming he knows what’s going on between Jared & Justin yet I dunno. I mean it’s definitely possible but it’s just as possible that he’s fallen for their act. I don’t get why Thomas wouldn’t confront Jared if he knew the truth or even remotely suspected it as keeping quiet seems pointless unless he’s willing to look the other way in order to keep Jared in his life which is kinda sad. On the other hand I definitely think his laughing it off came off as forced, if only because as readers we know the truth, so he likely is suspicious now yet I don’t know if I believe he always was. I was disappointed in Justin’s reaction/actions as both Jared & Justin come off as good boyfriends whenever they’re with their partners and Justin’s relationship with Craig seemed especially good so I was hoping in this case rather absence making the heart grow fonder that Justin would start to feel guilty over cheating on Craig. As far as Jared goes I just don’t feel like we know him as well and it’s easy to see him in a negative light especially with him causally arranging a murder so I didn’t have much hope for him. Sadly it looks like neither brother feels any regret and they don’t have much shame either since they dared to kiss like that in public while just assuming they could get away with it not to mention slinking off to the bathroom for sex. I can’t see things ending well for these two when the truth eventually comes out. Not exactly loving Justin’s defensive, antagonist attitude either especially when I think about how he essentially is considered a 50% owner in the catering business as how will it go if they breakup? I mean I could see an angry Justin causing some issues but at the same time Justin doesn’t have a lot of self esteem so I have no idea how he’ll handle his emotions when Craig learns he’s been cheating on him. He could easily have a breakdown as he seems to be compartmentalizing his emotions somewhat as even while cheating on Craig, as well as seeming to put Jared higher on his priorities based on their conversation where they spoke of being made for each other vs their chosen partners, he seems to still care a lot for Craig despite how hard it is to align his selfish actions with his feelings for Craig.

This is not remotely surprising but this news has really caused a ruckus in the Price household. 🤔 I wouldn’t be shocked if this actually helps Jonathan gain some votes as he’s much more relatable and humanized now I suppose compared to his stuffy, sleepy persona he typically exudes. I mean I wouldn’t vote for him in a million years but I doubt anybody would have before now so a few potential votes gained from the drama is better than the zero he’d likely have had before. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m not remotely surprised Papa read the letters as who wouldn’t given the situation? In the end Davey’s plan relies on a lot of trust from President Reagan. I mean first he has to get him to listen to him regarding the time travelers, which he has in the past so his success seems likely, and then he has to trust him to keep quiet about his existence. I mean yes Davey will eventually forget all of his future knowledge and any reference to time travel yet that doesn’t mean everyone will believe his story. Even assuming Reagan believes him if his existence gets leaked others who learn about him may think his claims he will lose his memories are a ruse meant to protect him meaning they could potentially try to force the information out of him regardless of what he actually knows. We’ve seen before how Davey can not only faces threats from foreign countries but can even have enemies within the U.S. government. There’s a lot of work left to do and very little time to do it.

The fall on its own is terrifying enough without the added trauma these headaches are causing. The headaches have two equally likely outcomes the first being of course they result in his death or what I presume is more likely which is that they cause permanent memory loss causing Davey to at minimum forget the other timelines. I think the latter is possibly more likely because while of course Davey wouldn’t want to tell Papa he’s suffering from something terminal the way he suggested he might forget about it made me think that “maybe“ it would likely cause some sort of memory loss especially since the pain seems to be triggered by his memories of former timelines.

Poor Eddie keeps suffering primarily because of the foolishness of others rather than his own mental problems, not that they help matters. Glad to see he was set straight about his IQ as it seemed like a lot of his problems have been exacerbated by his low self esteem and while obviously this won’t miraculously change things for him it seems like this new boost in confidence is already helping him some.

Hmm the emotional moment between Mrs. Price/Virginia & Mr. Price/Jonathan where she’s talking about seeing Thomas as a son was very subtle yet I can’t help reading somewhat into it. The fact he hid his tears yet was emotional as well leads me to believe that some unspoken tragedy occurred like perhaps Mrs. Price/Virginia once had a miscarriage. Overall when it comes to politics Jonathan is hopeless and unmotivated so he should quit while he’s ahead. Bernard’s interview will likely crucify him as there may be even more skeletons in the closet we aren’t aware of.

A very sweet ending but damn those three are beyond crazy. When Magda reached for her handbag some paranoid part of me was screaming “She’s going for a gun!”. Gus is a grown adult yet they’ve made it clear they consider him their property and I’m not sure what line they’ll tell the cops. Maybe they’ll claim Rick kidnapped him. 🙄

👀 I find myself wondering if Mrs. Price/Virginia is the anonymous caller. It would make some sense to me if she wanted to reveal some hard truths on her own terms as they may come out anyway and at this point she surely wants them to. I know he’s deep in the closet but it’s hard to believe how out of touch Mr. Price/Jonathan is with the LGBT+ community, though he’s likely out of touch with the general community/all voters. 🙄 I can’t comprehend why he’s interested in politics when he doesn’t really stand for anything or know anything yet I suppose politics is just a typical hobby for old, rich, white men. 🤷🏻‍♂️ While Thomas has a point about Mrs. Price/Virginia being a liability yet especially following that article I’d think questions would be asked and rumors started when she stops making an appearance. I can’t help thinking it won’t help his image if his wife is never seen with him as it would imply she doesn’t support him and/or they are having marriage problems.

Ah, alas we often forget the easy way rich people tend to get their way: money. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Yes, that would be an easy way to shut them up in a sense though they aren’t the only source of journalism in the world. If it got out that he bought the newspaper to shut them up it would only confirm what they printed was true as well as make it look like he may have more skeletons in his closet he was afraid they’d find.

It’s nice that Sean will be living so close as that will help Davey begin to feel grounded in this timeline. Overall Papa seems to have resigned himself to not knowing what’s going on anytime soon the way he invested in those stocks yet didn’t even bother trying to get Davey to tell him how he knew about them. He’s the opposite of control freak daddy dearest who will be itching to get at Davey’s money and will not at all like Davey’s secrets. I wonder how he’d take the revelation that Davey is a time traveler but I think it’s good Davey hasn’t felt it necessary to tell him as the less who know the better.

Honesty, while I’m not sure if it’s more reflective on Jared’s personality or on my dark outlook on life yet I felt the same alarm bells go off when Jared told the reporter he didn’t like to be threatened. I was freaking out when the reporter boldly told him his name wondering to myself if that would be something he’d come to regret later if Jared decided he was a problem that needs to “go away”. Overall I doubt Jared will do anything now as it seems kinda pointless at this point unless his anger just got the better of him. This whole situation may have opened up a new avenue for Desmond as he’s fed up with simply being the help & hiding in the shadows. I could see him anonymously leaking information to the reporters about the facade of a marriage in the hopes that the revelation that their marriage is only a prentice would lead to him being able to be with Mrs. Price/Virginia publicly. Yes it would be a wrong of him to air their dirty laundry as well as potentially hurt Mrs. Price/Virginia yet overall I’d say Mr. Price/Jonathan benefits much more from their facade and would be hurt the most from such a news headline while Mrs. Price/Virginia would likely come through it somewhat better off in the long run. Her drunken comment hoping someone got a photo of him when she called him a poofter indicates that she’s getting fed up with the lie herself and is likely on some level hoping the truth will come out. Thomas is very skilled at handling complicated situations so I have no doubt he could smooth things over to some extent if only because it was page 5 not front page news. As the said Jonathan isn’t that newsworthy yet though that just means reporters will only dig deeper into his closet the more he places himself in the spotlight. Yes, Jared’s lie that what the reporters heard never happened was beyond pathetic yet “if” they couldn’t get any other witnesses to come forward the facts might be more easily disputed.

Damn, I thought he was a bad enough father & husband before the reveal that he physically abused Davey. Honestly it’s hard to reconcile this man with his more redeemed self from the last timeline not that he was perfect then. I mean yes in the last timeline he didn’t rape his daughter as he did in previous timelines and seemed to become a faithful husband yet some of his negativity qualities like love of money, desire to show off, attention seeking, etc. prevailed. Lesser evils for sure yet for example it came as no shock that a supposed super religious man devoted to the church would easily switch to politics once he became headline news out of clear love for the spotlight and of course there was his often spending Davey’s money including on charitable actions while taking full credit for it. Papa is a good ally to have but part of me wishes he could be more lenient with Davey even if I somewhat understand where he’s coming from. I’ve always felt like kids should respect adults to an extent yet also respect is earned not simply given and this whole situation screams more of punishing a kid for hurting an adult’s pride than them actually having done something wrong. I mean in this situation I feel what Davey said was justified and to have him essentially told everything he said was true yet he had no right to say it merely because of his age and therefor had to be punished feels beyond ridiculous. Still, it’s partially a generational thing and also I suppose trying to instill respect for your elders doesn’t always go well with the concept of respect having to be earned as of course a child might not consider an adult to have earned their respect regardless of how much they do for them.

Frank to be frank is a little forward perhaps with his intent to be Ed’s friend despite them just meeting yet overall I can only see their friendship being a good thing...for now. I’m a bit cynical so some part of me can’t help but be wary of Frank considering all the heartache Ed has been through. I’m glad Ed got a job if not the one he expected and I hope he can exceed their expectations as I feel he often shows glimmers of being more intelligent than he thinks he is even if he may have trouble applying his knowledge.

Interesting plan but even with the extra money Davey’s going to have to be extremely skilled at manipulating his family as well as others to move all the pieces into position. Given his age this seems impossible yet I’m sure Davey is full of surprises.

Oh my goodness, I think I’ve lost all control myself! 😂 🤣 Mrs. Price should have a few drinks more often as seeing her cut loose was/is priceless. I’m guessing the upcoming news headline and subsequent article likely details some juicy info some of which may be what got hinted at by Mrs. P and as for the shit hitting the fan... with all the recent drama that could be anything really as there’s surely a lot of shit flying around. Either way, everyone’s bound to need a stif drink.

I’m not surprised how things turned out for the most part but I am surprised at President Reagan as well as my anger towards him. First Davey had to let Bush off with no consequences for torturing him and now he learns Reagan was allowing him to be fed information about the time machine while purposely keeping it a secret from Davey. You then combine that fact with the knowledge that it was surely unintentionally leaked to their enemies via Bush making the whole situation a massive security threat that likely in part triggered the start of the war. I mean call me temperamental 🙄 but if I were Davey I’d be glad Reagan was dead lest I killed him myself. I’m not sure how Davey could possibly have the enemy threats eliminated without contacting the government yet pardon my language it was mostly a clusterfuck as I can’t see where they accomplished anything with Davey’s knowledge except making things worse. I mean they didn’t capture or kill a single Do Over threat which was the true purpose of Davey working with them in the first place rather than him advising them on battle strategy. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Obviously he still has to as it’s not like Davey can stop them on his own, yet hopefully he now has better info on how to target them preferably pre-Do Over(before they transfer) that doesn’t involve say a nuclear strike on civilians that could start WWIII even earlier. What we need is a few covert assassinations.

Oof I forgot about Justin’s “encounter” with Pru and his gym buddy which he likely never told Craig about. I definitely understand why Justin felt pressure to go along with things, even if I think he made the wrong choice in the heat of the moment, and I believe Craig would have understood. I say would have because while he “might” have told him about it already it’s likely Justin never did and keeping a secret like that is liable to come back to bite him “if” this gossip were to reach Craig’s ears as his keeping it a secret for so long will not make a good impression on Craig. I can even imagine a situation where a mildly irritated Craig goes to confront Justin about his “encounter” and finds out about his affair with Jared because Justin mistakenly assumes that’s what Craig is referring to. Of course as of now the women have no idea Justin is involved but I’m sure they’ll get the information straight for the jackasses mouth sooner than later with how eager they are to learn more.

So many lives needlessly lost in the blink of an eye. Nuclear war is a terrifying prospect I hope we never have to live through. The death of his mom & Brian combined with is dad’s somewhat guilt laden plea will likely encourage Davey to attempt one more Do Over. It also doesn’t hurt that Bush is the president now as I could see him either despite the hopeless situation not approving the Do Over as crazy as that sounds or he likely could plan to send someone back with the added motive to provide his past self with self serving future knowledge neither outcome being one which Davey would want to see play out. Of course it could also be something more simple like the chosen candidate being killed at the worst moment or some such perfectly timed drama that forces Davey’s hand yet either way I can’t imagine he won’t be traveling back despite his best laid plans. Of course it would be a major twist if he doesn’t go back so I guess we’ll see what happens.

Jared is a real piece of work as he seems to want to ignore his own actions and in a way blame it all on someone else. I mean he cheated on his wife but downplays it as if his cheating is no big deal only to then dream up that his wife cheated on him first with his best friend of all people who his wife was actually jealous of because of how close he seemed to be with her husband. Obviously whether he’s conscious of it or not his desire to make them as guilty as him if not more so is a way for him to displace his own guilt as well as justify his actions. Then correctly so his wife & friend are both angry at him for his dreaming up this crazy affair yet he says to himself that they just don’t understand his worries as once again he clearly wants to paint himself in a better light. I’d say he lost his dignity a long time ago and I don’t know if any level of therapy could knock enough sense into him to make me want to be around him if I were Roan & Cheryl. Still, Cheryl has a child with him so I can see her putting in the effort but Roan to me has less of an incentive to want Jared in his life. It’s going to be a bumpy road,

So the relationship with David didn’t work out and while it’s for the best considering Davey never came to love him it sucks it ended due to David’s jealousy & insecurities. Of course while he should have trusted Davey “if” David could sense Davey didn’t love him back I could understand why on some level he would be suspicious of Davey spending time with Brian especially considering Davey’s still existing love for “his” Brian. Davey did his best but this timeline seems doomed with the prevalence of communism and now WWIII. Of course we also can’t forget the lovely timing of just when Brian starts to reciprocate Davey’s feelings showing there’s hope for them in this timeline he then gets shot. Let’s hope in the midst of a war they can perfect the machine and figure out a way to solve the current problems without somehow making things worse in the next Do Over.

I’m glad to see Eddie has been discharged yet those ECT “treatments” clearly made a bad situation worse. While I do think it’s possible Syl would have signed off on it I doubt she did because likely any argument to convince her to would have surely labeled it as a way to potentially make him better and I doubt at this point she’d care about Eddie getting better as I’m sure she’s wrote him off. I know Eddie is technically physically mature enough to live independently but outside of his sometimes lethargic reasoning skills I have to wonder how much contact he’ll have with his family now that he’s moved out especially if Syl decides to run interference. His mother may not have been the most pleasant person to live with, to put it mildly, but I could see him being a little lonely in his new apartment. Hopefully he’ll adapt given enough time and maybe he’ll make a friend at his new job.

Hmm I don’t know if I’m supposed to feel sympathetic for Romel or not. I mean he sounds like he’s kinda suffering from FOMO yet he says he loves his job with seeming no desire to do anything else so what’s the alternative? I get he felt somewhat dismissed by the change of subject yet I don’t blame Edward for not reading anything into his comment as requiring an extended conversation based on what he said. Looks like everything was going well for everyone, on the surface anyway, until Dean got busted. Sounds like someone may have tipped the cops off.

I have mixed feelings over the David & Davey situation. I mean a large part of me felt Davey should move on from Brian as it seemed more and more like torture for him not to mention I felt sorry for David with his unrequited feelings and yet at the same time I’m concerned David could end up getting hurt if Davey’s feelings for him never deepen to the same level David feels for him. Of course while Davey says the passion isn’t as strong as it was with Brian it sounds like David has been there to ground him the way Brian once did so I can see some feelings are clearly there rather than mere sexual attraction and those feelings could potentially grow stronger over time. Davey also sometimes seems to put Brian up on a pedestal so he may be overhyping the passion to some extent as his memories of Brian span decades vs his just recent developing relationship with David. One thing I could see possibly rocking the boat on this new relationship is Brian’s potential reaction once he learns about it. Regardless of whether it’s because of his attraction to Davey, the knowledge provided by Davey that they were together in the previous timeline, or simply envy brought on by his living his “lovely” repressed life I can see Brian showing some signs of jealousy. Davey can be a realist when he needs to but deep down I have two wonder if Brian showing even a hint of jealousy could potentially give Davey hope they could get back together which obviously would surely impact any sort of developing relationship with David. Honestly, I don’t want to make any predictions at this point as he could inevitably end up reconciling with Brian, falling in love with David, or he could even end up with a yet unidentified partner we can’t even imagine yet. I do find it interesting he’s planning to never do another Do-Over again but we shall see how long those plans hold up. If the lives of people he loves are on the line or worst case scenario people he loves are killed I’m sure he’ll do whatever he can to fix things. I wish they didn’t feel like they have to help a politician win an election especially considering some future knowledge that Davey is aware of and in general I’m against using future knowledge in politics as I kinda liked that Davey had a rule against it. Still I get why exceptions are being made given the circumstances. It must be very tempting for Davey not to use his knowledge to influence things like politics in ways that align more with his political stances. I mean 2016....whew. 😂 Of course if he started altering future elections then his knowledge of the previous timeline would become useless due to the ripple effect at least in regards to elections.

Damn, expecting things to go south and the reality of it isn’t the same. I hope Tyler is alright as obvious I’m not expecting him to die yet you can live through a lot so him getting out unscathed is not guaranteed.

I don’t think Jonathan nor Thomas are thinking clearly depending on their catering plans. I know he’s running as an independent rather than say a conservative but his comment about the “catering” being fun likely implies Jonathan is expecting the more risqué version, which while obviously not illegal could potentially hurt the image of an upcoming politician. Hopefully Thomas will rain on his parade and have a more typical catering experience planned. Thomas’ plans are smart and Jonathan funding his own campaign may help reduce the chances of it hurting his campaign considering he’s not focused on fundraising yet I see his marriage arrangement coming to light eventually as political candidates tend to be highly scrutinized. The world may be more accepting but even if the public doesn’t care he’s gay they may not be receptive to his marriage of convenience nor him paying for sex. Bernard’s reaction of thanking Jared could either be because he’s tired of seeing & dealing with Jonathan’s secrets, like his various partners, or it could be Bernard was expected to have sex with Jonathan as part of his unofficial duties so he may be glad that seems to be over. All we know for sure is that there’s definitely unspoken drama and Jared may eventually regret his new position depending on what type of drama it is. Thomas’ plans to exit the room when the new job was offered to Jared remarking his reasons being he thought it might be “personal” likely indicates he once again was anticipating it to be sexual. Thomas is skilled at concealing his emotions yet his reaction to the...um business card he found likely means he wouldn’t be thrilled at the idea of Jared working for Jonathan in a “personal capacity.” Jared definitely left out some major details but he was technically telling the truth about nothing happening between Nathan & him, though I suspect it had a high probability of happening if the guy was ok with freebies. I’d also be suspicious about why he’s carrying around an unused condom since I’m sure they’re well stocked up at home yet I suppose since he was just recently having sex with Virginia on a regular basis that Thomas wouldn’t find him carrying around protection too strange. Jared is very good at acting as if nothing has changed so I don’t see Thomas catching on anytime soon.
