  1. This is the first book of what promises to be a great series. In the excitement of this book, we meet Carter and Jeremy, the main characters, and learn what makes them the men they are. I recommend you read and prepare to be shocked and surprised. Then, like me, you will be eagerly awaiting the next instalment of this story.
  2. Marmite is one of those foods that people either love or hate, many may love it, but I hate it. I remember before he passed away, my father used to take two suitcases with him when he visited my godmother in Vancouver. One was always filled with Marmite, Cadbury's chocolate and other foodstuff in cans, jars and packets that are expensive and not always available in Canada. The only time I've been, I was given a shopping list of what to take. Prince's pressed cod roe £2-65 in the UK, not available in Canada. Marmite, £2-50 in the UK, $7-50 in Canada. An assortment of Cadbury's chocolate bars average price of £0-85 each in the UK, average price in Canada $3-25, and that was just a few of the items. I'm sure if they had checked my cases on entry they would have been convinced I was opening a shop.

    Epilogue

Thank you @ReaderPaul, for this and all of your comments throughout the story, they have been a pleasure to read. I try to keep The Boot World stories firmly seated in the real world, so knowing that it rings true with you lets me know that I have succeeded. I appreciate the compliment, I wanted to tell some of the gritty truths without going into unnecessary detail, and Terry's help is invaluable. You may be pleased to know that yesterday, I started writing the first chapter of a new story. It will introduce a new main character and feature many of the regular cast.
  4. Aloha Albert
  5. It's way past my bedtime so I'm off to bed. I'll catch you guys tomorrow.
  6. Aloha Albert. I'm only in briefly; it's getting late here so I'll be going to bed soon.

    Chapter 15

It is a great compliment to any author when a reader says they enjoy a story and look forward to the next chapter, I appreciate all of your comments, thank you. If you don't mind me asking, could you click on the recommend button if you haven't already done so?

    Chapter 8

We've all had those days where we get a bad feeling about something and make the wrong decision, well, it looks like Jake is about to experience that. I hope, for his sake, the other guys are too drunk to do anything and he can handle this seemingly sober one. Either that or I hope he has some good moves to protect himself. But this doesn't look good.
  9. Homemade mushroom soup is far tastier.
  10. G'night B, pleasant dreams.
  11. I've just gone through a few notifications, one of which gave me a bit of a laugh. I clicked on follow for @Headstall's stories that I haven't read yet and received a notification for a chapter that Albert and Gary have just commented on, Chapter 8 Hiding In Plain Sight of Morningstar: The Malaise. Whithout realising it I used Gary's Chapter title as a story title for the Secret Author anthology, lol. Gary, I promise it was unintentional to use your Chapter title.
  12. Hi guys and gals.

    Chapter 14

Thank you again for commenting @ReaderPaul, I loved reading this chapter again, the fireworks display and this one are two of my favourites. I'm guessing that you had fun with that DVD player, I wonder what other films you 'put under the microscope'? You are right; Harry needs that gentle push. I wonder who will be the one to do it.
  14. I know and I didn't need to use the reveal.
  15. Tired but doing good, thanks. I'm thinking about writing another story but with so many possible storylines it's difficult to decide which one to write.
  16. Aloha Albert.
  17. All things considered not too bad thanks. I'll drop you a message later. 😃
  18. Hi Terry, how is everything going?

    Chapter 13

Thank you @ReaderPaul, it gives me pleasure to read them and be brought back to this story. Janice deserved to be at the party, she has become a friend to Charlie and Michael, they are her new neighbours. Missy had to be at the party, she has earned her place at the party and in everyone's hearts. Also I think @Summerabbacat would have me hung, drawn and quartered if Missy had been left out of the celebrations.

    Chapter 7

Natural photographs are much better than posed ones, as an artist Jake will appreciate them and be able to produce some good art. But he also needs to be careful as they would probably be considered porn by many people, and considering Danny and Nate's age some may even consider it kiddy porn. I love how Nate is becoming more comfortable about his body, it shows a confidence that will be useful in later life.

    Chapter 12

Despite the hiccup at the fair, I'm happy that you see the positives in this chapter. I wanted my readers to see the Baxter Boys having some fun after everything they have been through and there is no better way than to show them with their new friends. Harry and Janice were overdue for a relaxing evening enjoying a natter over a sociable drink. I think everyone had a good evening.
  22. Hi Gary, it's always good to see family. I'm happy that you enjoyed your day.
  23. Aloha Albert, I hope all is well with you and Steve.
  24. G'night B, sleep well.
