One possible good outcome of when the committee member I had travelled to the meeting with last night got upset at one stage during the meeting and stormed off in a huff leaving me stranded, is that it has given me an idea for a story for the Spring 2019 Anthology theme Snapped...

I guessed you'd misinterpreted the word 'lift' ! No worries. I got trapped in an elevator (lift) back in the 1960's for a few hours. I decided that I had to just treat the experience similar to the recommended treatment for falling off a horse. (probably saved myself thousands in therapy fees that way!)

Not sure what you mean. In this case the 'lift' was from the person who had driven me to the meeting (given me a lift to the meeting). He unfortunately went home without me. All sorted now, anyway. Hi and bye for at least another 7 or 8 hours everyone! Have another important meeting to attend tonight (driving myself to this one ).

I was worried that I was going to miss it as well, as a stupid argument with my lift to a meeting last night left me stranded 60 miles from home... Fortunately I had my smartphone with me, so was able to log in just before page 556 started. Safely back home now so can use my laptop again.
