1,400 words today. Not bad for a workday. Who says spite can't be a motivator? Goodnight everybody. Gonna lay in bed and read before I pass out.
-
Have a great night, Thorn. Sleep well.
-
This guy is completely new to me, but I love his sound.
-
Hi, Ford. Thanks for commenting. The cameras are all strategically placed. No danger of catching the guys in an amorous moment, unless they decide to go at it out in front of one of them. Which, maybe they will if they wanna see what they look like? 🙂 I'm glad you're liking it, along with the dialogue. I'm from the area, and it's easy to let the vernacular and patterns of speech rule in my brain while I write. Though, I find it "real" easy to start speaking this way again!

Good luck with the call-off, Mac. I manage a group of folks, and I know what it's like to have to make up the difference myself.

Well, for a country boy like Caleb, something like that will take some trust. And the very cool thing about Strawbale houses - they're naturally sound resistant. Here are some interesting facts on buildings created with Strawbale. You're so right. There is a huge amount of work to do on property, particularly if you own livestock. The work doesn't stop, ever. Which also works in their favor. The uncles are cheap sons of bitches. They use a minimum of hired help, so a lot of the work they need done on their own land means they're the ones doing it. I'm glad you liked that little scene. Hehehe. Tracy isn't one to play around, and now they know it. As for what else they'll get up to, we'll have to see.
-
Thanks. That's the plan. I'm 500 words into the next Silverwolf chapter. 😋

I grew up with strong, capable women. It's no revelation to me that they're a force. 🙂 Yeah, we'll see how it goes with the law. Maybe you're right, and maybe they should have called them in earlier. This is a group of folks who are used to doing for themselves, and that's respected. But, the uncles are not playing by the rules either.
-
Thanks for this comment! Yeah, they truly are partners, and they share much of the work and load of farm life. There are so many things that need doing on a farm, particularly with a young baby in the house. You’re right to imagine Charles carrying his boy around, doing chores. It’s how he works!
-
Yep. They hadn't checked anything else yet. It was the same time. The fence was new, though.
-
Yep. 🙂

Yep. Wren is comfortable with that word, it seems. It fits into what he was doing in his old life in San Diego. Though, it remains to be seen if that sort of world-view will work for Kentucky. Those uncles. You gotta wonder what sort of mischief they'll try now, eh?
-
Well, "partner" means something different to different people. Ragan has known the boys as they grew up. Not exactly close, but enough to be fond of them and know that they're nothing like Wren's uncles.
-
Caleb lay awake while Wren continued to sleep. The rooster had already crowed a couple of times, but Caleb's black-haired companion stubbornly remained in the world of dreams. Caleb sighed. He had decided, after last night with Wren, that he was very likely gay. He had enjoyed both the physical act of their coupling and the emotional way he felt connected to Wren. More, he also liked the way it felt to lie with his bare chest against Wren's back in the still, slow brightening of the morning.

Thanks for reading and commenting, Mac. The gay thing is just one more hurdle for Wren, one that creates problems for him he wouldn't otherwise have. Rachel definitely seems happy to see him, though. His reunion with Charles and Caleb is only a chapter away. I hope you enjoy that as well. Have a great one, Mac.

Thanks, Parker. Good timing... as I got another "please focus on Bluegrass" email, literally two minutes ago. I don't mind folks having a preference. I mind the expectation that I should acquiesce to it.
-
I think you're right. It's not my place to rock that particular boat, but it is mine to just do my own thing - which, I've no problem doing.
-
Thanks, Mac. It's good advice, and I'll take it to heart. I know I'll write both stories because both inspire me in different ways. Silverwolf - I get to play with these sexual dynamics that I don't necessarily feel confident with in other scenarios. There are no labels, just the acts themselves. The reader can decide who and what they are, and I don't have to. Bluegrass Symphony - I love that story. It feels so good to write, hear the dialogue in my mind, and recall all the things about my home that I love. That's an interesting take - that readers are so invested in my work they try and steer my efforts. That's... weirdly flattering. Thanks for that perspective. Onward. I've got a werewolf to write.

@Reader1810thanks for the nice comments. I'm largely over it. Now that I've got a plan, I feel better about things. Plus I'm full of a delicious brunch. That always helps.

Heh. See, to me all of this is great. The evocation of emotion is what I'm out to do. That might be "No, dude, no, don't let that twig screw you. Shit. You caved you weak bastard. Fine, he's hot and hung, but still." Then the next time Jed is having his way in spades with Wolfgang in the kitchen. 😉 How you feel and what you are saying, that's different from what I describe. All of what you're writing is encouraging. There's always going to be moments the plot doesn't go the way of the reader's imagination. That's always fine. I'm glad you like the story. There's more coming for it.

Oopsie. So sorry about that lack of warning, tim. We all know voyages can be rough. So, keep an eye on them. Thanks for commenting and reading. 🙂
-
Definitely. 1,000%. Because I'd never mislead my read... *remembers Guarded* Well, I'd never mislead my readers AGAIN. ... unless it was good for the story. Nevermind.
-
Sounds like it's a project that merits another look.

G'morning all. Happy Easter if that's your gig. Otherwise, enjoy your Sunday.
-
Thanks. 🙂 And yeah, I'm feeling like some spite writing is in my future. Luckily, I also enjoy writing Silverwolf. I can give gays who think every relationship should be monogamous uncomfortable boners when my main characters fuck around AND write something I like at the same time. Win-win.
