  1. Yes. I understand that leaf-water is very important.
  2. I hear "folded bunny" is a popular one with certain Doms.

he is in rare form today! lol Thanks, Mike. 🙂
  4. I laugh, but there was like ... RELIEF in his voice when he tried it and it worked. I believe you. lol
  5. Hrm. True. We've got some planning to do. 🙂
  6. Just so you know ... Kris Harbour, a guy I follow on YouTube, built his off-grid "round house" as he calls it. He installed solar, batteries, a windmill, and hydroelectric power himself. The first, happy success for him after doing that was to run his kettle. Those little beasties draw a lot of watts (anything with a heating element does), so it took a beefy system to make it work. But so do power tools - which he definitely needed. I just found it hilarious. Instead of him testing his system with a saw, or a drill, the true mark of success for him was if he could run that damn kettle. Edit: I forgot to say that he lives in Wales.
  7. you should show me how. Maybe after you show me how it's done for a few pages, I'll figure it out. I'm pretty slow, so it may take a bit.
  8. mmmm ... who needs sleep tonight?
  9. Since no kettle is needed, even this USA caffeine lover can do it.

I think you know me well, AND you're a writer. 😛 Thanks for the comment, tim. And don't worry - I've only got the one chapter left to go. It's already written, so all I've got to do is edit it a bit and pass it along to Mr. Thorn for his editing. Soon, there will be nothing between me and Wild Maple Farm. And didn't I write enough for you yesterday? Jeez, what a slavedriver! 😝

Yep, you did. And here we are. Thanks for the comment, Jack. Hahaha. Corbin might be ordained, or maybe not. But you can bet the Family knows someone who is. "I know a guy ..." is frequently said when they are looking for credentials, licensed people, and other talent. But that's a bit of a leap. Let's just find out what happens on Sunday. 😄

Thanks for the comment Quixo. And ... you know, Harlan deeply feels for Bailey. He feels more than he has ever felt for anything or anyone, and values Bailey far more than he cares about himself. That's why he was willing to suffer through losing him. Harlan considers himself a lead weight around Bailey's neck, and he tried to push him away so Bailey moved on. But love is a stubborn beast. And so is Bailey. 🙂

It's not quite the end. We've got another chapter. I'm glad you liked this story! Thanks for commenting and reading, yarameb!

Hehe. Thanks, Tom. Yes. I'm not sure what part of a story this chapter would fall into either. It's just life for these two guys - though certainly a bumpy patch of it. One more to go. We'll see how they end up on Sunday. 🙂

Thanks for the great comment, tesao. Yeah, only one more chapter. And ... I'll admit, it's a bit short. But I do think it wraps things up pretty nicely for Bailey and Harlan. Sometimes you don't need a lot of words to get through a moment. I'm happy you find depth and richness in my writing. That's a great compliment, and I appreciate it.

Thanks, Geemeedee. There will be moments like that within tales I write, but I'll never end on one. Just because life can be unfair at certain moments in time doesn't mean I want to focus on those moments. Life goes on after disappointment, and I'll write until I reach a point where the cycle swings back to something good. 🙂 There's one more chapter to go. Let me know what you think of where we leave our pair when it is posted on Sunday!

Thanks, Fae. I really do think you're right. Harlan couldn't articulate everything he felt, not really. But ... his gift said it all.

Thanks for the comment, kbois! Hahaha. Sorry, not sorry! You know, there are certain things all of us bury. With Harlan, those things could encompass a novel in and of themselves. Frankly, Bailey only glimpsed what he's capable of doing; he dismantled three attackers in four seconds without a scratch - all without the aid of a weapon. To Harlan he considers the encounter itself a failure on his part. He should have anticipated and avoided it entirely. But ... Bailey has a way of distracting him. I'm glad I redeemed myself. No mutiny on my watch! 😛 I like Evil Genius. Wayne Evil Genius Gray. Has a nice ring to it, don you think? hehehe

Thanks, Butcher. Harlan does consider himself a monster. But would a monster try to push something he loves away, just in the hopes of saving it? I think that in and of itself is telling, don't you? We'll have to see how clean he comes though. He's a leopard, and these spots run pretty deep.

Thanks for commenting, empress. There's only a tiny chapter to go, sorry, but I hope it wraps things up well. I like Bailey a lot myself. Though, I wonder if the "too cute for words" comment was intentionally ironic. 😛 Last chapter is coming on Sunday!

Hi, chris. It's a rough one, certainly. Harlan was looking for a reason to end things. He didn't want to, but he felt as if he had to. It was hard for him to feel as if he deserved Bailey at all, and as a result he took that moment as a chance to let him go. Well ... Bailey wasn't having that. Even though Harlan hadn't said the words, once he found that CD ... he knew, and he came back. Thanks for commenting. 🙂
  22. Well, the classes are different, certainly. His names don't mirror Pathfinder. But ... Warlock looks wild. It's a blend of psion and wizard. Flexible, lots of firepower. Nasty. My class line up looks like this: Storm Warrior Psychic Warrior Death Knight Mage Knight Bishop Psion Yes ... I copied that from my "character planning spreadsheet." No ... I don't think it's weird that I have a character planning spreadsheet. 😐
  23. You're welcome. I vastly prefer turn-based any time I'm playing a game with AoE effects. Frantically trying to ensure I don't roast my own party in spell effects isn't much fun for me. 😛 Though I love all of those games you mentioned, and played all of them too. I just often used single target spells with liberal use of pause. Magi are wild. A blur of steel and spells in one terrifying package? Yes, please. Look at the "Mage Knight" here. This is the creator's page of all of his classes he has put in so far. http://www.heroicfantasygames.com/FWE/Pages/FWE_Title.htm
