... I am confused how you could determine that I treat women as gay men in female bodies. Are you under the assumption that only gay men want to know details of their friends escapades? For the sake of diplomacy, I'll ignore the possibility you called me a bigot. If I'm wrong, feel free to discontinue reading my work, and I'll put you on my block list.

Thanks, Fae. ❤️

She would have asked a female friend in a heterosexual relationship the same thing, and tried to honor a request not to spread the news the same way. It’s not about Troy being gay. It’s about him being a friend, and in a new physical relationship.

Grant really has begun to fall hard for Troy, so he felt like he had to go back. Though they put him through a bit, they're really not bad people - the friends. In fact, they're all good, decent folks. If I ever encountered this group I'd hang on and never let go. We'll see if Grant ultimately feels the same way or not. Mother is who and what she is. Self-importance ranks high on her list of attributes, and more on that is coming. Thank you so much for reading and commenting!

Morning, rick. About to head off to my workout. Have a great day!
-
Hi, Sweetlion. Thanks for the comment! We may just see if you're both right. Right now, Grant can't figure a way forward but one path may be to give Grant Troy that journal. (I was in a hurry this morning!) Hehe. Lots of comments about mom. Good. She'd love that. 😄

John's letter ups the ante quite a bit, doesn't it? Until Grant found it, he had been intent on destroying the book but now finds himself completely unable to do so. Grant knows what he's looking at. He knows. They've built a stronger foundation than you might expect in a short span. That will happen easily and quickly for some couples, and it did for them ... so perhaps you're right. Maybe they could get over the reveal of the journal. We may find out. Sandra Sexton is a fun character, and you had best believe we're going to see her in person. 🙂 Thanks for the comments!

Thanks for the comment! Maybe the journal should just be tossed, but Grant isn't that kind of guy. And he's apparently not as devious err ... clever! That's what I meant. He's not as clever as some of our intrepid readers ... 😮

Ah, but I bet you hide something of yours in... uhhh. No, I'll stop. See? Picture of restraint, that's me! And damn! Okay ... you guys are all far more clever than my poor character is (read - the author who wrote him). Oh well. Grant has to suffer from my lack of imagination! Thanks for reading and for the comment, Mike. 🙂

Thanks for the comment, chris. The friend group is becoming a little more comfortable for Grant, though they didn't start off great this time around. Sandra Sexton's wealth and her wish to control her son with it are revealed ... though she failed in that bid, fairly dramatically! And our John's letter to his man, Troy. Yeah. Grant doesn't know what to do about that now.

This is so freaking cute. I love him and his beautiful girlfriend.

tim may be the wise one here! Thanks for the comment, Parker. You're so right about Grant's defiance. In the process, did he make Troy a ten million dollar boyfriend? I suppose we'll just have to wait to see!

Indeed! Oh, I hope you like that Brian and Aaron seem to be very comfortable with one another. I know you were hoping for some heteroflexibleness in a certain redhead, after all.

Thank you for the comment, jaysalmn! Sandra is definitely something else. You'll get to see more of her ... juuuust wait. And I love how worried you are about Aaron and Brian's relationship. What if ... what if they ended up trapped somewhere? With only one sleeping bag, and in freezing temperatures? Well, the proper thing to do would be to strip and snuggle up for warmth, right? Ah. We can all dream. 😄

Haha. Thanks, tim. Great idea. Grant needs you in his life right now! He's in such trouble. I almost felt guilty for putting him into this situation ... But no. 😄 Thanks for the comment, and for reading!

Thanks for the comment, kbois. Grant is, frankly not proud of his family. Well ... his mother. Grant is on great terms with Dad, and you'll see that later. Working hard to sort of distance himself from needing that money was Grant's purpose in going to school. He started medicine as a way out from under their influence, and stuck with it because he began to believe in the mission of helping people. Grant's a good guy, for the most part. He just made some questionable decisions concerning that damn journal ... The Quad Squad (I still attribute that name to @Parker Owens!) are important to Troy, so yeah ... it's good things worked out. And, ohhhh no - Mommy Dearest will definitely rear up again. If you remember in an earlier chapter, Grant was due to go home for her birthday in February. That's coming! 😄

Thanks for commenting, Danners. Grant is so screwed. Hahahaha! When I wrote this chapter I was sort of just giggling in evil mirth at the predicament I put him in. It felt far more delicious than it should have. I'm sure that reflects negatively on my character! You're right ... he's not got many choices, does he? Georgette is who and what she is. She apologizes when she gets things wrong, or hurts people, because she doesn't want to. It just happens sometimes. Brian is a good guy. He tries to be honest, and is a tremendous ally once you're in his sphere. Aaron and Brian have a good relationship. They're touchy with one another, because they're comfortable. Brian is known for his "far too friendly" hugs when it concerns Aaron. Even straight guys like physical contact if they can get over the societal BS associated with it, and these guys have. That bit with the eyes ... I spent a long time thinking about it. How to best explain it. That's the best I can do, so thanks. Use how you see fit! 🙂 Oh man. Mrs. Sandra Sexton is something else! You notice, Grant never once called her "mom?" Nope. It's all formal with her. Just wait. I can't say too much about her without giving stuff away, but we'll see her again! I'm glad you cackled. 😄 More to come!

Hehe, thank you, Etotsira. The longer he goes the harder it gets and the more perilous it becomes to finally reveal the journal. Will he? Will he decide it's too risky? Ahhhh ... we're watching someone struggle with a problem of his own creation. We see how he got there ... can understand how it happened, but we can still be a little disappointed in him. Oh, Grant!

01 December 2018, Saturday 9:04 a.m. Grant set his jaw. "I don't want to talk right now, Brian." He reeled from his secret getting out to Troy's friends. "I'm sorry; I just don't want to talk." Brian sighed. "Dude, I'm the one who's sorry. Look, Troy's upset. I hate to lay this on you, but that worries me. Can I come in, just for a little?" Grant made a quiet, anguished sound. Taking a breath, he turned to unlock the door, then he walked down the hallway into the living room. Bri

Thanks for reading and commenting, Bft. Yes, that's a tough time in life. Lots of questions and internally searching for answers. Let's hope the friends empathize a bit with him, even if they can't "really" get it they can still be kind to him.

Thanks for the comment, and for reading our story. We really like Gail ... Terrence too! Keep reading if you want to know the whole story - where Ike and Devin end up, as well as Frank and Ben. And ... of course, I'm sure you just have to know what happens next on As the Houseboat Floats!

If I get there, fine. There will be pics. 😛

Thanks. I know the type. 😄 There are many paths to health and fitness. I don't believe CrossFit is the only way. Frankly, I consider it extreme as hell. But, I have tried a lot of other things, and nothing has really "stuck" for me. We'll see if this does or not. Regardless, if I commit to something for three months, and I pay for it ... then I'm doing it.

Thanks, Parker. I'll offer those descriptions to my doctor instead of stubborn! Seriously though, it's great to be encouraged, and I do appreciate it. I know what I need to do, I have the time and the means to do it ... there is nothing preventing me from at least making the attempt.
