    San Francisco.

Where to begin? I could do the whole play by play rundown of events according to Steve, but instead I'm going to hop to the parts that ment something to me. This brings us to the end. Oh don't get me wrong the whole weekend was a blast, even if Castro turned out to be less then impressive. It's been a long time since I have laughed so much, and felt so comfortable in the company that surrounded me.

Anyhow, the thing I probably enjoyed the most during the weekend was the walk Joe, Snowdog, and I took Sunday night. Up Brodway, through some nice houses, down a switchback pathway. The three of us meandered through residential streets and down to the bay, talking about nothing in particular other then what PG&E stood for. (Pacific Gas & Electric for those of you who are now wondering)

The walk was enjoyable, even though we pretty much walked all weekend(in the sun, not in the shade), and the flip of a coin determined or next direction in a strange city. Ever notice how taking a walk clears your mind? Pushes away everything but your destination, and the steady rythm of a distant foghorn. A destination that drew all too much clearer as the three of us made a left from beach onto polk. A destination that would take us away, back to where we belonged, and away from the home we found in San Francisco for three days.

Thanks to Dan and Trebs for setting it up, Thanks to snow for allowing me to crash on the bed next to his, thanks to Viv for telling me I had to go.

To Jeff who on friday told me to get my ass out of the chair he wanted a proper hug.

And, thanks Joe for the seriously ( ) great adventure you lead me on through the streets of incomparable San Francisco.

Till, the next AMAZINGLY stunning adventure, I'll be smileing with the memories of the last.

There is a certain tide that comes to mind when having a discourse with other online authors, sex scenes, more so the stigma of writing porn. What is porn?

    According to Wikipedia:

Pornography, sometimes shortened to porn or porno, is, in its broadest state, the explicit representation of the human body or sexual activity with the goal of sexual arousal and/or sexual relief.

    According to Webster

It all started with directons... simple enough... You'll see a Home Depot on the right a Shell on the left, make a left at the Shell. I was assured if all else failed, she and Jason would find me.

I dunno if she recruited Jason for the task but Viv did find me sitting on my front porch waiting patiently. I thought she missed me at first as she drove right by. Turned out she was just turing around to park . Both Viv and I had managed to get the same night off, and she was child & husband free for the evening. So we figured we'd meet up again. The last time having been the D-land escapade.

The day from there turned into some weird Murphy's Law thing. There was Jamba Juice first, which was packed cause it was 95 degrees and everyone needed their whirl fix, and right as we got to the front of the line their computers decided it was time to take a dump. Which was all cool cause we both work with hokey registers and know that it happens. What was rather annoying was the three other employees in the building who were doing absolutely nothing. They could have been taking orders and getting them started. Life does go on with-out computers folks.

From there we decided to see a movie, So Viv and I shot over to the Mall. Deciding on a which movie was relatively easy, Viv doesn't do Horror/suspense, and Blades of Glory had its next showing in an hour. She was willing to see it again, and I was a Blades virgin. Tickets bought, yeah I had to coax her away from the cashier and tell her I bought her ticket already, we cruised around the Ghetto Mall taking in the local wild life.

By Ghetto Mall I mean an over-abundance of stores selling urban labels, with names like; Urban-Outfitters, Duke'z (yeah thats the way it was spelled on the sign), and Concrete Jungle. She kept mentioning that they didn't have these sores in her Mall, I couldn't help but thinking they don't have these stores in any other Mall.

After I was through mocking the 'Why Men Marry Bitches' book in a book store I looked up to see a Pirate. Yes a pirate right there in the middle of the ghetto mall, and considering the choice of stores I could see why he was in the book store. Doesn't mean he wasn't horribly out of place though, looking like a hefty Jack Sparrow. Viv being her playfull self suggested I go up and say Hi! I didn't agree.

Figuring we could go hit up the movie we walked back to the theater only to be told they don't let people in until its thirty minutes before the move starts. Ok whatever, but it was 6:47 and the show started at 7:20. whats three minutes? what if we wanted popcorn and an Icee? honestly they are selling themselves short. Its not like we didn't have to go through a second set of security who double checked our tickets when we did get in fifteen minutes later.

The Movie was funny I suggest you see it if you haven't, Theres a whole crotch lift thing that will make you squirm in sympathy where you sit that and who wouldn't enjoy a Male/Male figure skating pairing??

After the show we headed out to diner. Tried Bj's, a brewhouse pizza place, that was a no go as the wait was like forty-five minutes. So we opted for the Olive Garden. Thirty minutes two pagers, number 19 was flawed singing when inappropriate, later we had diner with James our server. Tall cute and terribly forgetfully it would seem. It took a bit to get our bill, and he didn't offer us wine. Apparently such a thing is a big no no in the Olive Garden world.

All in all it was a good night, though next time Im heading down to the block. Theres more to do in her neck of the woods then there is mine.
  6. shadowgod
I was talking to Viv the other night and I came out, sorta.

For years I have been maligned by my sisters and labeled with the title of shoe whore. I may still be in denial honestly. I only have around Ten or so pairs of shoes. So yeah the average guy probably only has like four. Does that really qualify me as being a shoe whore? Couldn't I just be above average in that respect, or just happily over achieving? It's not like I have a room dedicated to foot ware, whats a couple of pairs of work boots a mix of skate shoes and a pair of dress shoes between feet?

And heres a big question, do you categorize flip-flops as shoes are just misc foot ware?

In other news, I have a job, wish I hadn't I got an email from my boss the other day saying how it was time to start dishing out raises to all the lazy employees. (alright they aren't lazy I'm just being jealous you'll see why in just a second.) SO, I was like "cool" raises, and I'm reading through and no shit if the last paragraph doesn't read in verbatim "I'd like to get a better Handle on your and Angela's Job, that way i can better evaluate you for a raise."

Translation: Sorry idiot, your not getting a raise this time either.

So I got all pissed off, and pretty much stayed that way all day Monday. Sure I know I'm being kind of selfish here but damn All the employees under me have received raises multiple times since the last time I got a pay hike. Which was a year and half ago! Matter of fact I'm making less now then I did then. From on High has decreed that I cost to much at time and a half, SO no overtime. Right, a manager with no overtime, Basically I work 8-10 hours a week for free. They also cut my commission on sales and took away my health coverage.

Suddenly becoming a student again isn't looking so bad. Matter of fact the only bad thing about it is figuring out what I'd want to do with the rest of my life.

Alright, So I guess I'm done ranting for now. I'll catch y'all on the flip side

It's been an interesting seven days and far too long since I have made a blog entry. For any of you out there that actually read. I've gone and finished my spring anthology entry and sent it out to be polished. The beta feedback I have received has been nice and I can't wait to see what everyone else thinks of it. I'm also getting ready to start wrapping up Living in Surreality. There should only be about four more chapters left to go even though I have tried to push it to at least 25, but why delay the inevitable? I'm kind of stuck beyond LiS as what to write. I have the final Shot of Bourbon to get out of the way and possibly another story with the characters from that. That is about it on the writing side of things.

I went and saw MCR last Wednesday in Vegas. That was cool, they put on a good show and I ended up like ten yards from the stage with a pit-bull of a woman behind me singing every lyric off key, but I had a great time anyhow. How could one not with half naked guys running around getting all sweaty in a mosh pit.

And here's a random question, has anyone ever been in a conversation that left them feeling inadequate in the end?

I'm not talking about some back and forth with a boss or counselor or other 'Authority Figure' but just an everyday chat where in the end you just felt like you didn't measure up to your peers. I have recently and it's been bugging me ever since. Not a constant debilitating nag, just a whisper, tickling the edge of my consciousness. I'm sure it will fade out sooner or later and I'll move on like I always do, just can't help feeling like shit while its there. ya know?

Anyhow, time to run. I have too much to say and no idea how to get it out.

Honestly, is there such a thing for the particular affliction which Ted Haggard and millions of other people on this dingy ball suffer? Sorry, in Ted Haggard's case

So the week has been pleasantly surprising. OK so it all really started on a Wednesday about two weeks prior. I was doing one of my usually evening IM sessions with Viv and she mentioned that she was going to Disneyland on Sunday and asking if I was gonna go. I was like damn that is just bad timing all around. I had family arriving back from a cruise that day and got christened the chauffeur that was to usher them home from the LA pier.

So I had to decline the invite to meet her in a fairly secure public place. All was not lost though she checked the blackout schedule and found she too could not make it that particular Sunday. Being the problem solver she is and think at her computer, she quickly moved it to the next Sunday, I tentatively agreed

Work that week sucked, One employee had been in a car accident on 12/30 and 'bumped and bruised her knee' and after visiting 4 different doctors found one that would put her out of work for a month. but whatever. Another employee's appendix had burst so he too was out of commission. I didn't know if I'd be able to make it Sunday after all.

Someone was smiling though, Sunday managed to be fully covered with minimal force and I was off to Disneyland!

I got to the park about 1pm and texted Viv to say I'm here! She told me they were just getting off the monorail after lunch. I got stuck on Main Street. First at a store (more about that later... ) then in the bakery for some cookies and coffee, no coffee for me I don't drink the stuff. All the while I'm being pelted with the same question. "When are you going to meet her?" Like five times in a row.

I wanted to send her a text saying Doll SAVE ME!!! lol

Anyhow it was decided that Viv and hers where heading over to Pirates. So I figured ok Ill go wait there and lead the chattering sisters to a brick wall in between a trash can and stroller parking. Alright so that wasn't me best idea ever

There I sat waiting, eating my cookie scanning the crowds moving in the three directions I guessed she would be coming from. I sat there for about 15 minutes and wouldn't you guess it she spotted me before I spotted her! women

It was fun, My sisters chattered nonstop about things you really shouldn't talk about in public much less polite company. No it wasn't that more to do with the aftermath of a burst appendix.

    It was gross...

When the weren't rattling on about the inane and cruise ships they were holding up the works by shopping. So Viv's hoard and I decided on the Jungle cruise with out them. We got split somehow. Viv's hubby and her kids ended up on one side of the boat with her and I on the other. The mean park guy ruined the magic there. That and she has been on that ride one too many times she knew the spiel better then the doofus piloting did.

All and all I'm looking forward to doing it again, Maybe with one less sister So's we can talk shop or something!

That was last sunday... Thursday I posted Chapter 13 of Living Surreality. I was seriously worried about its content. I was pleasantly surprised with the overwhelmingly positive comments thus far. Thanks guys you rock!

You ever have one of those Mondays? You know the ones where you rush out of the house at 4:30 in the morning. Get halfway to work only to figure out you have forgotten your keys, so you have to turn around and drive the 15 miles back home grab your keys and head out once again. Only this time you get stuck in traffic?

    Yep, that was my Monday.

    Nope, it sure didn

    Ok,

I'll let whoever is reading this in on a little secret, I have odd dreams. Not just odd, but like bad acid trip dreams. Which kind of sucks cause I never did acid. They usualy involve Polar bears, eskimos , and flying Orca's. No I am not a fan of shamoo, but that overgrown tuna still creeps into my head at night.

Anyhow, I just bring this up because I had a very wierd dream last night, wierder then the norm.

It started with me argueing with the Milk vendor to pick up out of codes... Ok so a dream about work, while frustrating cause the Milk vendor isn't even close to being hot, not so bad. Its alot of back and forth me telling him to pick his crap up, him saying that there was too much. Finally I just told him he needed to get his supervisor there cause I wasn't going to argue with him anymore. So the supervisor shows up, and agrees to take back the few cases of milk that have gone out of code...

So Far pretty unasumming for one of my dreams.

Oddly enough, my walk-in cooler at work turned into the kitchen at my aunts house, where I used to live. Not only is the Milk superviosr there, But so is my Aunt, Uncle, Mom, my two sisters, and my cousin and her girlfriend...

Ok so that was was wierd mind flip... but I go with it.

I forget exactly what form of small talk was going on. But, My cousin points out a meteor (shooting star?) that flies across the sky, followed by another. The only difference is you can here these things as they whoosh overhead and they seem rather low. So low we had to crawl along the ground to get back indside my aunts house.

This is where the dream takes a definate turn towards the twilight zone.

Once inside I hear My mom calling for me, Shouting to look at the shooting star outside now. So I look out a window on the second floor of my Aunt's house. Its kinda hard to miss the 'shooting star' my mother is refering to. Its right there it front of the house, revolving slowly in the air.

The only big problem I could see was that the other side of the street simply wasn't there anymore. It was gone. The world had broken up and we we're floating along through space on our own little Island. WOrse I remember rationalizing that we were going to run out of food. Or even worse air! Which I was surprised to find we still had honestly.

Told you weird dreams... Like I was channeling Chris Van Allsburg or something.

Well I hope you enjoyed the peek inside my head!

Oh BTW! posted chapter 2 of Living in Surreality ENJOY!!!!

My frailty was you, perfectly damaged you. What was at first forever, slowly faded, into something more like maybe never. Yet I remained steadfast for you, shunning all else who came. For simply complicated you.

Even when you said when we have nothing left to loose, I still remained true.

    I still do.

    I still do.

My frailty is still you, and I have nothing left to lose, except, for perhaps you. The one thing I'd never wish to loose. That fate, however, has already come true. So now all I am left with is, my frailty of you.

Did you think you were undeserving?

    Did I seem self serving?

If either seemed true, it was neither of the two. It was always only you; impeccably, faulty, you.

I loved my frailty of you.

    Somewhere I still do.

    I still do

We have an odd relationship you and I. It was fun in the beginning, flirtatious and ever so drawn-out. Remember the hours I spent exploring you? I do. I thirsted for whatever you were willing to offer up. You offered up a lot, in the beginning.

normally I wouldn't but this is somewhat annoying.

I was having a bit of a back and forth with Nephylim today (You can check it out here) We had a few back and forth posts about expressing ones opinion and what not. and thats all well and good. but as she pointed out in a post the thread was getting a lot of negative reps. More clearly my posts were getting a lot of negative reps.

This is just all well and funny. Nothing in any of those posts was out of line but all the negatives stacked up. Pretty sweet guys. Congrats to every one of you who did it. You guys are awesome... well and truly was it because I called her out on her post? great but hey you putting something out there people are likely going to take you to task for it. My biggest issue was the insinuation that a teenager can not write a compelling story. And that's just crap for all of you under 20 authors here. But hey whatever, I was being a mean dick for making someone think about what they posted.

Anyhow to all you guys the pushed the button and slinked away Congrats you're awesome in your ability to not read but just pass judgment anyhow you guys win at life today.
