It was a sad chapter full of ironies. The life of Mr. Perfect that was anything but. It appears that those who experience the most emotional trauma are able to channel that energy into the best performances in the band and performing arts. Remember Danny having that one day when he played well in the band when he was sure he'd lost his soulmate for a fee hours? Well Kyle has a lifetime of pain to draw from. It's almost like Gingers don't have a soul, not that I'd ever say that, I lied. This is Jake's first sex without the pretence of love and yet it may just be the truest and most emotional release of any. Certainly it seems that way for Kyle. And the fact that Jake came without needing to be handled may just be evidence that his emotional needs have finally found a home. Could such a casual start, result in something that outlives the rest? Who knows, but quite possibly.

In an odd way, Danny and Jake have reached a level of maturity and honesty in their relationship. They both accept that the good times were essentially good for the sex and that they were never suited to be anything but BFF's. Danny in particular no longer feels the need for added pretence. Pleased that Ryan was smart enough to see that Jake's weaknesses were not just a momentary lapse but intrinsic to his character, especially with Danny around. Great switch introducing Kyle into the mix. Danny and Jake might see this poet and philosopher as boring but the real question is whether Jake has enough wit about him to sustain Kyle's interest. Minecraft and social media are going to make the cut. Yeet!

It's been a riveting easy read. Loved all that's gone on, even Jake's disloyalty, that I wholly disapproved of. I guess its hard to stop watchig a train wreck. It all goes to show these guys are too young to have a clue about what real love is, equating it to how good sex feels. Danny, is never going to be happy as anything but a polygamist. Making out with one gender only inspires him to want another gender more. And as for Danny's twaddle about connecting with soul, well that's proved a truly convincing chat up line. Be sure to keep that one handy Danny.

This was no mistake. Jake told Danny they could have some fun at camp the week before they went. That opened the door for their previous type of activities bj's and hand jobs. But Jacob has gone much further than that and given Danny the green light to fucking him, whenever. Ryan deserves better than Jake who has to admit this is never going to be an isolated incident. At least I expect Jake will have the integrity to be honest Ryan. Sadly, I also think Ryan will prefer his role on the subs bench to having no Jake at all.

All's well that ends well. Great chapter. I'd wrongly assumed that both dad's were aware of their sons relationship before the game. That was an oversight. Not excusing Mr. Crawford's initial reaction but neither was it fair to drop the whole thing on his preconditioned mind given only to a traditional conservative upbringing. As it happened, Mr. Crawford went through years of processing in mere minutes and all four guys are now practically where they need to be. Ironically, it could end up being as strong a group as any in a story littered with dysfunctionals.

At last, some real progress for them all. Jake moved on to becoming friends with Ryan who he now knows has loved him for many years. Ryan's mum has cleared the air with Ryan's sexuality and as we thought she's fully happy and even encouraging him to hook up with Ryan. Paves the way for them having sex with Jacobs mum's blessing. She's got to start knocking on the bedroom door though and maybe making herself scarce once in a while. Danny is now where he needs to be too, in order not to continue living a lie. He's still processing what interests him but now he really has nothing to hide about his bi nature. First time I heard this line and it made me laugh: "it’s Danny and Jake. Bi one, gay one free!” Heading the gay alliance group will be great for Danny and many others in the school. Maybe it will put things into perspective for him without feeling the relentless self inflicted pressure to conform. Pity that Ryan feels his parents won't accept him being gay. We now know how good a friend Danny is to Jake. A selfish Danny would have tried to return to the staus quo. But caring Danny insists that Jake kiss Ryan, as soon as he can. He knows that Ryan will be immediately hooked on Jakes first kiss. Sadly, he knows it because he was hooked on it too, at a time he couldn't bring himself to admit to it.

Poor Jacob. He needs to move on. Danny tried his best to put Jake in touch with Ryan but Jake isn't interested in looking anywhere else. Jacob is nearing the realms of becoming a stalker. Let's hope he can start looking to Ryan and others for the love that he craves.

Danny's just got the horn in this chapter and wants sex with whoever he can get. Jake is the obvious, if only, candidate available. It's like Jake's feelings are getting in the way of Danny's fun. It's all emotional baggage that he doesn't need. Poor Jake is probably realising that's all it is and ever will be for Danny. Others commented about Danny being aromantic. But that's just what the vast majority of early teenage boys are, isnt it? Many more will be confusing lust for love.

Kudos to Jake's dad for treating him right when it mattered most. No wonder Jake won't tolerate anyone bad mouthing his dad, now that he knows he's got his back. Jake's mum will probably be fine with Jake's sexuality too but she's too stuck in Mother mode to level with Jake as a person and earn his trust, the way his dad just did. Danny's a good mate too. He now knows that Jake has moved on from blaming his dad and he will too. Mr. Reilly has obviously had a troubled past from which he has learnt. He's now got Jake on his radar as someone he can share his lessons in life. It's sad to hear any kid say they wished they could change families. How will that have affected Reilly, hearing that? Well welcome to Jake's surrogate father, in all but name. Great read.

Jake's home life really sucks at the moment. His Dad is a selfish bum and his mum's anger means Jake does know a happy home is. He needs to immerse himself in his friends. Danny's almost as unreliable as his parents but at least he gets to witness some highs every now and again. There is a glimmer of hope on the horizon in the form of the the younger freshmen starting back at school, who are closer to Jake's age. Let's hope Jake can get some stability back in his life and make some dependable friends for when Danny goes AWOL.

Danny is clearly dating girls in an attempt to conceal the fact that he is physically attracted to Jake. Danny probably thought his moves on Jake at the end of camp would be just like the many casual plays that he made on the girls he tried to have sex with. What he actually discovered, is that he didn't just score with Jake, physically but that there was a whole emotional connection that he didn't have to deal with after the girls. Normally he'd just move onto the next girl without much of a thought but hes realised that he cant just forget Jake, the same way. Of course, it's easier to blame Jake, block him out and move onto the next girl to keep up the facade. I'm surprised by Mr. Reilley's reaction. He's in a gay marriage and obviously knows whats going on in the texts, yet is far more hostile and unsympathetic than I would have expected. Sure his band comes first and getting them to run together to sort out their differences seems ok. But is that really the best he can come up with?

Well good because my compliments are far from being an endless resource too, believe me. Bwaaahahaha!😜😈

That was just the perfect day for them all to spend by the pool and playing poker. I like how you got TC to slot in with Lyssa and Owen with no discernable change in family dynamics. The fact that everyone seems comfortable just being themselves and all still having fun, is a testament to that. I'm glad that you chose this path for this story. At the outset, it wasn't clear which direction it would take. It could so easily have gone somewhere darker and who knows where it will end. But I pleased to say that you have repaid our trust in you, in full, at this stage kbois.

Wasn't expecting Danny to go as far as he did. I thought he was bi, leaning female and now it's definitely leaning male. That said, Danny has the greatest interest in setting up the gay group. Im thinking he wants to pave a safe environment for him to come out as gay. The band and the team is coming on leaps and bounds thanks to the obviously gay headmaster and his new appointments. Jake's trombone sure got him noticed as the first appointed band captain and his instrument playing stands him in good stead too. It's all coming along nicely.

Real interesting set of characters that Jake has to work with. Danny is like many typical teenagers, ditching his mates when he gets a girl. And Jake is reacting normal in his frustration and desire for a return to status quo. It all feels so real including the immediate desire to want to hurt people back. Danny's mum is bad for Danny. It's one thing wanting to have and to own everything but once she got it she needed to act far more responsibly, bottle her anger and take the higher ground. But i guess its all about her, right now. Hang in there Jake. Re Danny 20% of something is better than 100% of nothing for now. Your time will come.

Interesting part of the tale but it's clearly not the start. Where do I go for that? Is this connected to the WAR series?

Thats a commendable art, being able to string a set of insults together like that. I had 4 boys. Number 3 was so in control that no one had ever heard him curse. At 7, a neighbouring teacher, who knew us well, found a tirade of incredibly foul mouthed language, over two pages long in his notebook. She called us up to apologise profusely that our little blond haired, blue eyed angel, had been exposed to this attrocity. Believe me, there wasn't a word I could think of that was missing. Might have even discovered a few new ones. That was until a week later when he repeated the stunt and we found out that his best friend's older brother had been 'educating' them. I still get the odd laugh calling him 'Potty Mouth', at 18, even though he has hardly ever sworn in his entire life. 😉

Great seeing the kids adding interest to the story. Lyssa' s sweet and Owen seems way more knowledgeable for his age lol. I think they've both got TC pegged before he's even met them. It's going to be a fun summer. David seems to have experienced enough of the sub life to know it's not a permanent lifestyle for him. He's been pushing back on TC's taunts a lot recently and wasn't going to allow TC to goad him when he picked him up from LA. Plus having the kids around is going to curtail anything but an opportunistic strike. If I were TC I'd be concerned with what might come out of Owen's mouth. That kid knows his mind.

Come on travlbug, you can't just say that and then leave us hanging. Share! 😎

David's waxing put him at far greater risk than TC's mere 5.2 Earthquake. I can tell you which I'd rather have, any day of the week. Coincidentally, NZ's prime minister conducted her interview, almost uninterrupted in a 5.2 yesterday.

Two pivotal quotes that spell out the crux of the issue @FanLit. I have my doubts that Kbois can bring forth a credible or viable D/s relationship involving David. While they could both go their separate ways and find contentment with other partners, something deep down tells me that they really would like to spend their lives connected and maybe even together, if only they were somehow able to adapt into something other than a true D/s relationship.
-
Interesting trip away to LA for TC. Things are not quite as straight forward as TC would have us believe in his relationships. I gather that the bravado of his controlling Dom mask is getting unnhinged by David's confirmation that their arrangement has to be temporary as David has his own Dom interests to satisfy at some stage. TC trying to add exclusivity is really just an poor attempt to paper over the cracks of a relationship with David that TC hopes will fill the void left by Elliot. At some point TC will need to face the truth: that David is no Elliot clone. That said, David is not as emotionally detached, as he purports to be either. Dozens of concerned texts and voicemails left for TC speaks volumes more than a casual relationship or transient hookup of some old college friends. There's more complexity to both of these characters and there's probably a large amount of middle ground and compromise, yet to be explored between them. Change is inevitable.

Backing up often, is sound advice for both I.T. users and bottoms. Don't forget BDSM. Backup Data Systems Methodically! 😉

No need to rewrite anything from my perspective. That was the perfect way for TC to introduce David as a bottom, given that he'd known his previous poor experiences with it. David's waxing sounded so much more painful than anything TC would have done. It's hard to imagine a grown man crying. Paying a heavy tip to forget what he saw, seems absolutely reasonable ☺ So we know TC can largely drop out of his Dom persona when there is something he really wants, although it's natural for him to reassert himself again from time to time. I think that approach will help break some of David's boundaries, as things progress. Introducing the kids over the summer sounds like it will add some variety and hilarity to the storyline. Kids do share about what they discover and these four seem more than capable of that. [Sic Lead] on Macduff.
