Without wishing to give too much away @ShadowDweller, I can totally identify with Adrien's position. Especially the bit about needing five drive-pasts. Yeah, that's about the number of times I've read this chapter now. 😉 Its not only a good read but what someone in Adrien's position would have probably wished for but never have expected to find (one night stands vs serial monogamy). I'm still surprised it didn't end up like the former and read it again for signs why it didn't.

Well Owen and Lyssa appeared to enjoy the rest of their summer break with their dad and TC. There's every reason to expect them eager to be back again later. But it's all gone a little low key between David and TC. At best, they are now at the friends with benefits stage. A busy workload certainly hasn't helped. They are due a serious personal discussion when they get back but it looks like they'll each have to pursue their own interests and content themselves with remaining friends, with the odd playful interest. I'll be interested if they can come up with more than that but they really are poles apart right now.

It was a reference to Chapter 8 that I posted in chapter 7 by mistake. It's now copied over to Chapter 8. Unfortunately, we cannot delete a post entirely so I put an explanation here instead.

I've been back an additional three times to read this chapter. There's something fascinating about it.

Horny tale that I had trouble enjoying fully. Quite simply, I couldnt stop thinking that Cedric's mum could come through the door at any stage. LOL. Going on to the girlfriend stage after that was pretty normal. Thanks for the story.

Like I said, what can go wrong? It was the greatest of outcomes for a lonely guy about to leave a bar and committed to living the lie. Did you come here to write this section or the next? 😉

The sensory deprivation was something that grabbed my attention in this chapter. Being blind-folded is one level of deprivation that is disconcerting, to a degree. But at least you can compensate, to some extent by visualising what's going on through accentuating and relying upon your hearing. But to have your hearing significantly reduced also, to "being under water" levels would magnify the whole deprivation experience, exponentially. You really are subjugating yourself to the trust of another, ever more completely, though not quite totally. TC really does like his pinching doesn't he. If it's not tweezers then it's clothes pegs. For a minute there I thought they were going to be electrodes. Worse still I'm not entirely sure, if I'm more relieved or disappointed that they weren't. This was an intriguing chapter. David still seems compliant enough to allow TC to fulfil his physical engagement needs but it's rapidly becoming clear that he just isn't the natural emotional "sub" that TC needs him to be, long term. David will soon need to look elsewhere to fulfil his sexual requirements as indeed will TC. So in short, the current situation cannot last.

This was such a fun chapter. Liberated from all the rights and wrongs of Adrien's situation. The coq cage incident was a real hoot and the first we've seen of the proudly Dominant Theo being fully owned by the guy he assumed was becoming his sub. And boy did Adrien have fun playing that card. But even funnier was the payback which had Theo behaving like a pure juvenile. Happy carefree times.

Well it has all been plain sailing so far. What can possibly go wrong from here?

Enjoying the ride. I am surprised about Theo talking about wanting to be partners for life already. What happened to one step at a time? Shouldn't that have happened after the chat about anal sex? Is there anything Adrien wouldn't do now? He's already prepared to leave the food out! 😉

And there was I thinking I'd never entertain a one night stand with a guy but this one would do 😉

First night's seduction tastefuly accomplished by a seasoned artisan. This is certainly no backwater dive and I doubt that Adrien will be left with a single regret. The night has only just begun and there's a lot more to come. Looking forward to it. But if Theo is considering riding the Aiden Tower then that surely answers another question: whether he's ever allowed himself to be f*****. I mean no one would volunteer a ride to the top of that for their first trip, would they?

Yes, as others have said, I enjoyed the maturity of the characters, away from all that teenage angst. Thirty something angst is so much better. I was enjoying the thought that Theo might be considering building up a relationship with Adrien, who is obviously quite vulnerable at the moment. Then Theo's quick dive for the lube and condoms, brought back into focus the possibility of a one night stand with a gay virgin. Theo is obviously concerned about not getting used. The question is how concerned is he about not using others? Great start ShaddowDweller. I tend to get hooked on the deeper dialogue intensive stuff.

Be careful what you wish for. In the last chapter I wanted Billy to know more friends of his own age. But not one is prepared to stand up for him. Here, they assign one buddy to any new starter on the first day whose job it is to look after them throughout the first days or week. I'm sure that would have stopped this atrocious bullying. Poor Billy. I'm not sure i want to read too much more of this abusive behaviour.

Interesting start. I certainly saw the stark contrast between the fertile fruitful orchards and the burnt and blackened stumps. But I kept wanting to hear about Billy's interactions with kids of his own age but apart from his younger brother, there was none. I've come across people and stories of home schooled kids where they live largely in a world of adults, devoid of their peers, and it seems so wrong to the majority of us that have lived a mainstream existence. I suspect that this is just one of many sharpnesses in contrast, that you want us to see at Billy's new school, so looking forward to whatever follows. Very well described.

A fun couple of weekends boating for David, TC and the twins. They all seem so relaxed together. My favourite part was the night time scene of the large moon as it emerged over the horizon attended by the dolphins, playfully performing in proximity, around the boat. Your description of Lyssa's moonlit photograph of David and TC and the dolphins was so idyllic. What is the betting that a life-sized version of that print will end up on somebody's wall. Great analogy of the shared car ownership and driving rights to help Lyssa understand the issue facing David and TC. The idea of introducing a third party was creative but surely you are not offering that as a wrench, and a glimpse of their possible future together, are you? Why do I feel this story is headed to take us out of our comfort zone?

I'm not so confident Jake and Danny have grown up yet. We haven't had Anniversary Infidelity week at Band Camp and an awful lot can go on before Kyle's return. Let's think happy thoughts 😉
