  1. Well did anyone see that coming? Brandon unwittingly outing Jeremy to his mom. Going to see Jeremy wasn't ever Brandon's call to make. Even if he wasnt aware that any of Jeremys family were there, Trisha was always going to become aware of his outing and Brandon had no way of knowing who she would tell. So Brandon was utterly reckless with discreet information that had been entrusted to him. Only a spoilt brat would fail to realise that and storm off petulantly to his bedroom insisting that he had been wronged because he has the monopoly on feelings.) Let's hope that's the last we see of Brandon. Zara, also needs to get herself in check. She can be forgiven for her initial poor shock reaction to Brandon's incredibly tactless approach but once she gets home she best think long and hard about her son's feelings and whether she really wants to risk losing him altogether. Jeremy is so nice he'll probably offer to live like he isn't gay to please her. Zara' s very fortunate that she has a son who is patient enough for her to come around in her own good time.

    Birthday

I could be wrong but I immediately thought Zara had twigged on about Alex and Jeremy being more than friends when she got them together for that picture. She's clearly smart and must be wondering why Jeremy seems so happy having broken up with Natalie and his long lost friend recently back on the scene. But I guess I'm wrong if Jeremy is upset about it. Either Zara reacted negatively or Jeremy is over reacting simply because his mom knows. Brandon's still sat on the subs bench hoping to get a second chance with Alex, should things not work out with Jer. Hearing that he's not even out yet must have raised Brandon's hopes.

    Roadmap

Points I picked up in this chapter 1 Alex is being inspired by Jeremy's efforts to succeed by hard graft in his studies and setting up a business and getting a place to live away from home. 2 Alex is still fighting his strong gambling addiction and is still close to submitting to it 3 Alex really loves his sister and is doing his best to make sure his parents support her year abroad even though he wasted his chance. 4 Alex and Natalie met for the first time since she roasted him at his house and at least they didn't verbally abuse eachother. That's a baby step in the right direction. 5 Alex's mum is moving out of the flat, leaving the boys plenty of private time together. A major plus. 5 Alex has got two big presents for Jeremy that he's going to like. I think that's enough to be going with 🙂

OMG you certainly got your punch on the gut with that retort. See you in part 2. Maybe.

    Chapter 20

Well I dont know how i feel after all that. First, I'm actually relieved. Yes relieved. I was so sure that you were preparing us for an even greater disaster where someone, or someone's were going to die leaving TC or David utterly devastated. That would involve the other taking permanent control over their support. At one stage, I even imagined that you woul kill off TC, with that maniacal laugh of yours, leaving David to find his life with someone new and always being reminded of what TC had meant to him. You really had us bound up and in a very dark place, for this past week Kbois. If this is your take on BDSM, you can keep it. 😰 So yes, I am relieved that at least everyone remains physically whole. But let me get to the one good point. I really like the heart to heart stuff in my stories and this chapter was easily the best in terms of that. There had been a lot of chapters that had dealt with the logistics, of what these two busy successful professionals had needed to get organised, in their lives. Part 1 had us all totally frustrated, that the managing all of this, had completely over-shadowed their desperate need to talk, to listen and to act with honesty, respect and trust; Friends first, Friends forever, is how David put it. The main question now, is just how devastating will this day's incident be to their relationship. Will it cause them to go their separate ways? They have such incompatible physical needs but that's not the biggest problem. Can they even continue as friends, knowing deep down, that the person they are facing every day, is someone that they love? You do begin to wonder.

The story suits binge reading it too. The storyline all flows smoothly without any noticeable breaks. Not having to wait for days or weeks is a real plus for me. I have several in progress stories on the go and it gets frustrating having to wait, at times. I was very surprised that there was a definite 10 year break from the camp. I would have expected them to have kept in contact. If not, I thought you would add flash backs to the camp and approach it as a "Then and now" style story. It's really interesting, just the way it is though.

Yeah, Jeremy as the Dom and Alex as the slave. That really has possibilities 😀

    A New Page

Alex's persistent references to Brandon having "something" different about him were disturbing. Has Brandon let himself go, since Alex broke up with him. Maybe Alex meant a lot more to Brandon than Alex wanted to admit. If so, it could get difficult if Brandon needs a shoulder to cry on, not that he appears to be the crying type. Good on Alex for paying Brandon back. Yes it was unnecessary, but it shows a level of maturity and self respect in Alex. However, that gambling app is featuring ever more frequently in Alex's life. Earning a pittance at the carwash is never going to help Alex out of his predicament. Without any real prospects of a higher paid job, the temptation to see gambling as the only possible solution, looms large. I'm surprised that his parents haven't considered this and suggested a way forward, other than counselling. Natalie appears to be dealing with her breakup needing time apart. It will take time to readjust back into the role of best friends. All those touchy familiar looks and sounds that once promised so much in her eyes.

    Fallout

Jer finally has someone to give him the support and courage he's been missing his entire life. I hope Natalie doesn't out Jeremy to his mom, in a fit of pique. That would really make things awkward. But I seriously doubt that she will, if, as she appears to be, is Jeremy's best friend. You can only sympathise with Natalie. She cant help it, if she has fallen for Jeremy. He is a really nice person. And her heart won't be listening to logic right now. She can only see Alex as the vehicle that delivered her misery. Next step is for Jer and X to schedule some quiet time with Zara and maybe have Alex's mum on standby, to smooth things out.
  10. A chapter of not just one but three breakups. How awkward. Brandon was clearly surprised. He'd just come off the back of a great nights sex with Alex and was probably thinking things were going well. Sweet that he bought a present for Alex. He turned out a better character than he first appeared. Never once did he mention the money he gave to Alex. Decent guy. Then Jeremy breaking up with Natalie. They were obviously getting along well as friends until Alex came on the scene. How much did Jer tell her about Alex contributing towards his decision? I guess we are about to find out. The worst aspect of this chapter is not the breakup but that Alex's gambling addiction is resurfacing big time. He's already on shaky ground and he's now dicing with death, or at least any hope of gaining his families trust again. He's going to need professional help whether he likes it or not.

    Memories

For Jeremy, it seems that being gay has meant nothing but aggravation all his life. All the concerns without any of the benefits. No wonder he's unsure about about coming out to his mom. He has nothing to weigh against the downsides of his mum's possible hurt. Its high time Jer experienced some of the positives of being a gay for once in his life. Only then will he know if its truly worth pushing through the pain barrier, as he sees it. So falling asleep in your friends arms is an awesome place to start.
  12. Well there we have it. Jer had been afraid to come out to his mum. The good news is that there was nothing more sinister behind it, like a threat to disinherit or withdrawal of financial support. I don't know how Natalie got drawn in. Maybe Jer was tired of his mum hounding him about a girlfriend and Jer asked Natalie to help. The bottom line is that Jer and X are now free to become boyfriends, once Brandon is given a soft landing. At 23, I would imagine Zara will respect her son's personal choices, once she realises she won't be getting any grandchildren by her son.

    Chapter 19

I can't see what this rectangle is meant to be. It's going downhill and fast. Even Kbois is acting like an out of control kid. Just wait till I get you into the car. 👮‍♂️🧔👮‍♂️ It was a joke, officer!!! She's about to do something really bad.

Either way, I think you're about to devastate one of them completely.

Oh no. Now I'm thinking something much worse. I hope I'm wrong. Please tell me you didn't go there.

    Chapter 19

I can't comment until I see all the foreboding complicated, cliffhanger stuff that's about to unfold in the next chapter. If I were to guess, I'd say something bad is about to happen to TC. We've seen a lot about David being taken care of by TC but not so much the other way around. Having a dominant Dom really vulnerable and helpless for an extended period would really challenge TC. David would most certainly be up for the job and it may be the catalyst for these two realising that they can manage fine on their own but is that all they really want out of life. This is just a soliloquy. I know it's complicated.

    Phonography

So just a 5 month date with Natalie, that's nothing. I suspect that Jeremy hasn't confirmed his sexuality one way or the other yet. If he had an interest in boys it's well swept under the carpet. For an easy life Jer maybe leaving his mum do the "she's a nice girl routine". There's obviously something off between Jer and Natalie and Jer constantly looking over his shoulder. Is everyone aware that Jer has been involved with boys in the past and expected him to suppress his inclinations upon promising financial support. Can't complain about Brandon wanting to avoid telling Dan about Alex's job at the carwash. They're clearly a family of high achievers and Alex is still to finish his degree. Brandon is treating Alex like his current plaything. I guess he'll get his $600 worth out of it, helped by the fact that Alex feels like he owes him.

    I Remember

That was a close one. Was sure Alex was about fall back into his old ways and borrow from Kris again. Alex has to get professional help. From what I've seen, gamblers are way worse than alcoholics for their addiction. May be we were wrong thinking Jer may have been gay way back in school. The assumption being that Alex would naturally be drawn more to another gay friend. Maybe thats a misconception. It's disappointing for Alex but it's way too early to draw conclusions on how strong Jeremy's and Natalie's relationship is. Maybe Alex's gaydar is registering for a reason. Alex must now know how far away Brandon is from being a worthy boyfriend. He dismissed him almost immediately as soon as he met up with Jeremy.

You'd be so easy to impress on a really boring date. Ha.

Amazing chapter. After all the earlier turmoil, it's all coming together for Alex and for Jeremy. Brandon, stepped up too, paying off Alex's debts. He could have easily have suggested ways for Alex to repay the debt but he clearly wants more for his boyfriend. Love the mix of relationships you have brought together. Brandon's prospects don't look too promising, right now.

    Date Night

It's a pity Jeremy didn't get to text before Brandon arranged the date. That said it's probably lucky for Jeremy, as Alex is definitely in 'user' mode right now. We dont really know how much better Alex is going to be capable of, with a fresh start. That Brandon can go an entire evening without knowing anything significant about his date, confirms how desperate Alex is for money. Where is it all going to end?
  22. Guest034229

    Homecoming

Well this was not what I was expecting at all. Polar opposite, in fact. Alex is a complete waster that's thrown away any chance of completing his Uni education and an habitual gambling addict. Having been independent since I was 17, I think Alex can consider himself fortunate that his parents have even offered him a place to live at 23 years of age. Alex's strong sense of entitlement still prevails. It now seems that Brandon is the best way to pay off his debts. But the real shock is, at the end. Can that really be the same Jeremy he met back at camp, ten years ago? There's certainly a lot more water gone under this bridge than I ever expected. Can't wait to see how it all comes together and it's a great basis for launching the rest of the story.
  23. A great start to a light feel-good tale. Really interested in where these friends go to next. Jeremy probably lost friends at his school for being identified as gay. How close can Jeremy and Alex ever get without meeting physically and just being online? And how will Richie and Niall react, if they ever find out about Alex? Glad you chose not to make them sexually active at the camp.
