Who said that was the ship I was thinking of? You'll have to dig a lot deeper to get down to my level 🤫

Whatever Your Heart Desires
Guest034229 commented on Richie Tennyson's story chapter in Whatever Your Heart Desires
So the "Happily ever after" really is more about them reaching a happy place and less about them being happy with eachother to the end of time. Cinderella felt great about her new found freedom and all her potential new prospects, as a paid seamstress in a country she always wanted to be, and Ryan the Prince who found joy in the young girl's happiness. The need to be in love with eachother and the requirement to be married until the end of time, were not pre-requisites at all. But the readers could make them so, as they were free to imagine what a 'happily ever after', meant for them personally. Anyways, exeunt Ryan. -
Flesh Under Influence
Guest034229 commented on Sasha Distan's story chapter in Flesh Under Influence
I'm amazed that there appears never to have been a conversation between OIi and his parents about everything werewolf. How it began, the history within the family, how many others are there, what variants are there or are they all affected the same. Oli needs to chat to them about how he can learn more about the type of werewolf that Boris is. Maybe then they might find something useful to get Boris in sync with the rest of the werewolves. Edit: I see in the next Chapter that these conversations did take place. -
Ha, you really are a snitch!

In fairness, I'm sure it's everyone's nightmare to think that they would ever stumble across their parents having sex. That your dad is in wolf form at the time, makes it only slightly more disturbing from my perspective. Certainly, if your dad was in human form at the time, then I'm out of here. Anyway, Oli has to try to unsee what cannot be unseen and focus on how he's going to make his life with Buddy work. There has to be a way they can sync and I think it's going to be a little thing called love.
-
Is reverse transformation from wolf into human even possible, he laughed, as if the reverse were actually a proven science. Ok so my weird thoughts about beastiality are on hold right now. The technical answer would be no, as they are either both men or both wolves. The fact that they switch roles and are destined never to be together as the same species just sucks. Congratulations @Sasha Distan on introducing us to what I believe is a unique paradigm. I really am intrigued about everything that could happen from here.

I think I know where this is going. Hopefully, my thoughts are more risque than what will actually happen. Wouldn't want any of you to get corrupted by what's going on in my head right now.

The Death of a Good Dog
Guest034229 commented on Sasha Distan's story chapter in The Death of a Good Dog
Wow, nothing quite brings tears to the eyes like witnessing someone losing a dog. Really, was that the best way to let your son know that both him and his dad were born werewolves. Are they nuts? -
The Boltfort is so full of character, it's impervious to being faded any more by time. I like that. Interesting set of characters. I think David can take heart from the fact that two generations of stalwart Henderson's are invested in his care. Breakups are unchartered territory, especially for kids, so fear of the unknown when some impersonal court official is empowered with your fate, is always a concern. There's no telling what lengths his mother may go to own but not handle her son. Looking forward to hearing more about David and Max, his granddad and Sid and whatever curved balls Richard must face in the right to win custody of his boy.

Curiouser and curiouser. What on earth is Ryan up to? Why wouldn't he just play out the day, get home safe and sound and put this ghastly nightmare behind him? Are things in the real world going to change if kids no longer have fixed expectations of what a happy ending should look like? Will this make them more accepting of single sex partnerships? I suppose Ryan has concluded, if you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem. Also, Dorothy knew what would need to be done when it was over, but she wasn’t ready to acknowledge it yet. Get a life???

I'm back to rereading this after a 4 month break. There were only 4 chapters written then but now there are 6. My memory must be bad because I'd completely forgotten about the characters but definitely not the Cube. That's cool.

Interesting teaser. Like the dual timelines. Not quite sure of where the main thrust of story will be yet, other than Oli is or became a werewolf and loves canine/vulpine animals, rich dark ales and 007 on the N-64. I can relate to most of that.

Signed Along The Dotted Lines
Guest034229 commented on Richie Tennyson's story chapter in Signed Along The Dotted Lines
Fascinating. I hadn't thought of that until now. I suppose docile traits were probably demanded of women, when this was first written and kids would have been happy with that too. We must naturally fill in the blanks with what would make them of interest, to us now. Why else would Prince Charming be so captivated by her, that he'd go to the trouble of testing a slipper on every maiden in the Kingdom, her beauty and chest size, notwithstanding. -
Great chapter. Interesting study of where they currently are, in terms of loyalty. I'm totally on board with @Philippe on this. I guess Jordan really doesn't need to be a front man for interviews, if Taylor Swift is noticing him. And a great make up session for a climax. Only question now is what's going to happen backstage at the O2 Arena with Damien? Good Sound Engineers are hard to come by; or so my son tells me!

I was so sure that they'd accidentally hit the remote on the garage door and provide The Sun with the morning's front page cover. 😎

Signed Along The Dotted Lines
Guest034229 commented on Richie Tennyson's story chapter in Signed Along The Dotted Lines
Great article @Talo Segura It ends by saying... Some of the power of these stories may be that they help children confront and come to terms with their own sexual and aggressive thoughts and feelings. Recognising the psychological basis of the power of these fables and stories should not detract from their magic. Clearly Happily Ever After Ltd have far more latitude than they thought. Little Red Riding Hood getting eaten by the Wolf, ought to be fair game and true to the story's origins. So having Cinderella ditched on her wedding day by her gay boyfriend is just preparing children for life's possibilities 😉. -
I guess this is the calm before the storm. I sense something big on the horizon for the real people that wont be on the rinse and repeat cycle of the fairy tale characters: Ryan, Dave, Bryce, Burnham and Doug, in particular.

That turned out to be a much less stressful year than I was expecting for Rob and Mark. Great touch with wedding bands in the Bahamas and all the hot sex scenes, in between. I thoroughly enjoyed the chat show and all the banter. Priceless lines about Rob turning Mark gay and Mark insisting he's still straight but just likes Rob a lot. Ballsy kiss at the end though. I always wondered what, types like Jordan, must think about frontmen being interviewed and on behalf of the themselves. After all, he's a confident outgoing type and must want more of the limelight even if he hasn't quite got Rob's charisma or Mark's song writing skills. Looking forward to what happens on tour. Things are surely going to take a turn South at some point and I want to see how they deal with it.

Signed Along The Dotted Lines
Guest034229 commented on Richie Tennyson's story chapter in Signed Along The Dotted Lines
“Not until we’ve finished our lesson,” the King said firmly. “Now, let us talk about your bride’s monthly bleed.” Aren't we missing some fluttering blue swallows, singing gaily and chirping happily in the background, with Bambi and an array of forest creatures looking on doefully? That's how i imagined fairytale, sex ed would be. This incarnation of Cinderella, isn't at all charming, witty or intelligent. She couldn't hold anyone's attention, straight or otherwise. Ryan's is not the main problem with the failed love plot. I imagine Dorothy wants to watch the tapes for a dual purpose: to see how she could have been the only one to miss spotting the homosexual. She clearly has no interest in anything but her work. And while he's not much better i cant see what Burnham saw in her. Right, time for Ryan to put all that sex ed to good use. And don't forget the swallows! -
I enjoyed the early chapters so much that I'm pleased to be enjoying their transition into young adulthood just as much, if not more. Loving the drama, the dialogue and the depth of feeling. Rob's mum is such a generous soul. Mark wouldn't have survived without her. She had a great time chatting with him. Rachel's right. Mark needs to confront his bioligical mother and maybe his step family and get rid of all that vitriol that they forced Mark to take, throughout his childhood. They need to hear that their dirty little secret is up and that their deplorable behaviour was inexcusable. Mark has to get closure on them. There's a sad tension in the air now. As much as Mark and Rob want to be together for life, their lives are no longer their own. Tumultuous events, outside of their control, like the Sun expose, are likely to happen, in this business. They could realistically, conspire to break them apart. They are already questioning their resolve, in the face of an very uncertain future. More great song choices @unilive.

That coming out was all so real and convincing. You really had thought that through. Tougher times ahead no doubt but let's just enjoy their heat and the afterglow. One in the eye for the gutter press. Yeah you need to get a drawing of the coming out picture plus the bedroom face that would launch a million albumn sales 😉.

You've captured a day in the life of these soft rock stars very convincingly and in great detail. The radio interview was ostensibly unplanned but brought out a lot of interesting insights about how they operated and interacted as a group. And so we arrive at the moment of truth. Rob and Marks gay relationship about to be exposed by the Sun. How will this confirmed sensationalism affect their fan base and what will it do for the direction of their third album. Captivating stuff Unilive!

Ha, how wrong was I, predicting that the child sized slipper would not fit Cinderella's foot but would fit one of the seven dwarves? Well, for sure, there was more chance of Ryan making out with Happy. So where will Dorothy go from here? Enter Cinderella's long lost twin brother: Dave who hits it off with Ryan. ------------------------------------------------------- One small typo that I spotted. “Not need to apologise, Your Majesty,”
-
Darn this cliffhanger. I was really anticipating Cindy trying on the slipper on 'Shoe Day'. Was that so unreasonable? I'm really hoping it doesn't fit. That would open up loads of interesting possibilities from there. I take it Dopey was the only dwarf stupid enough to kill Grumpy. Bryce, being the archetypal Machiavellian caricature, complete with moustache, puts me in mind of Dick Dastardly from Whacky Races. His chances of an amorous happy ending are definitely zilch.

I struggled to make any sense of a lot of things in that chapter. I had no idea who Bjorn met or which club, that was working at the company. No idea what's motivating Burnham. At times he seems to be doing a security job, waiting for Dorothy to sign the Divorce papers. At others, he appears to be harbouring an interest in getting back together for a happy ending. I think you're right about Liam being the subject of Bjorn's interest though @Talo Segura. Well spotted, if it is. But why is Bryce now getting all familiar with Ryan? It's confusing.
