    The False Cross

At long last, along comes Frank and Henry, a team of power horses that are a match for the despicable Bridget and George and their cohorts. Seems like Henry wants a quite word with Gonzalez to find how who has access to the Chandlerys code, at the police station. George's cover may be about to be blown. It's so depressing reading about Trevor's misfortune in missing Reunion and his despair is about as palpable, as anything I've ever read. So sad that his final remotest chance for survival, rests in some act of madness. This is not going to be an easy read.
  2. I think this will take me a while to finish, given the time I have free to read. Thankyou @pickuptoyfor the Bridgemont recommendation. It seems like it will fill the void that will be left after this excellent thriller.
  3. What a brilliantly audacious character we have in Frank Tittle. I wonder which came first, Frank or Better Call Saul. They're almost identical though Saul was better dressed, in all fairness. At least Dirk and Jim have a fighting chance now. Trevor continuous to impress with his resourcefulness and determination to survive against all odds. I can see theres going to be plenty more twists and turns in the remaining hundred chapters. Quite amazing really, as we've already had our money's worth for a story.

    Finding the Way

Its all going perfectly for Bridget and George. I hope we get a chance to see them pay for everything they've done. I'm not sure that I can quite visualise Jim in a dress, especially as he was previously sporting a beard. It's surely only a matter of time before they are caught. I'm still overwrought at that devastating scene. Trevor bound and weighted, plummeting to the depths of the ocean as the careless pirates strip almost everything from the Atlantis. I doubt that will ever leave my mind. A testament to the author's creative genius. I can only marvel at Trevor's grit and determination to survive. It's amazing to see his resourcefulness and ingenuity in attempting to navigate from certain death. I read all of that technical nautical stuff with relish. Let's just hope that the next people he meets have his welfare in mind. I don't think I could take another pirate scene now.

    The Hand of Fate

This was so disturbing. Worse than anything I've read from Stephen King @pickuptoy

    Crushed

What a dreadful experience and devastating sight. At least Trevor gets to live and fight another day. Surely someone will find him. Bang goes my pipe dream of emulating Trevor's journey. You wouldn't catch me dead in those waters now.

    The Question

Unfortunate timing. Given Trevor's complete desolation and impending doom, there was little to do but speed read this entire chapter and the whole frivolity that was Joel and Lisa's proposal. That said, following on from the last chapter, with Bridget and George's celebration of their Machiavellian connivances was utterly sublime. I was at the limits of conviction that I couldn't despise them more; that was until I read this. Now, has the author got one ounce of benevolence left in his soul for Trevor? We shall sea.

    The Hand of Fate

Abandoned all hope. Horrifying beyond belief.
  9. The excitement is escalating. All this is happening because Dirk wouldn't trust his son with the truth. The real reason why he can't say anything until December. Maybe Trev and Dirk seriously distrust eachother. If only Lisa and Joel knew the enormity of the role they are playing in all of this.

    Forces in Motion

George might struggle to control all parties to the investigation now. The FBI won't be so easily lead. I'm also thinking that officer Gonzalez is not trusting anyone in the department, including George while he ostensibly goes along with Sergeant Pierson being the main leak. Surely now, Dirk and Jim will have to come clean and reveal whatever crime it was they were concealing.

    Seychelles

This story sure boils the blood to have Bridget, George and Sachez especially, from the drugs Cartel, brought to justice @pickuptoy. I feel that it just needs someone to witness one of George's boat liaisons with Bridget, for the cracks to appear in their deception. The problem is that it will require more attention than two horny kids can spare. Having the FBI involved is a big step forward. 😎

    Seychelles

Great plot and the way that Lisa and Joel are unwittingly in cahoots with Bridget and George is a sublime bit of engineering. I normally get frustrated with how these things are fabricated using peoples stupidity or illogical acts but theres none of that here. Avoiding Seychelles and Rodriguez has hopefully thwarted Sanchez's next attempt to kill Trevor. Seems like Dirk and possibly Jim will be incarcerated now.
  13. Well we normally have to work a lot harder than that for our happy endings in one of Gary's stories. Seeing just how intensely Coy is loving this lifestyle, you have to wonder why he thought he would never enjoy running a farm. Hard work certainly wasn't the issue. Perhaps Coy just never felt that anywhere was worth settling. That was until he discovered, what it was to have a real Home that he could share with someone that he really cared for. Boone and Coy completed their family with their animals and offspring, named after their much loved mothers. It appears they lived out their days revelling, safe in the knowledge that their Spiritual Father had bestowed upon them, a grace and beauty in all of nature's wonders and, above all, in the very partners they were each destined to meet and love.

    Battle Stations

Whoopee! It feels like the tide is about to turn against George and Bridget as those degenerates, relentlessly scheme the demise of all three kids. It's infuriating how Lisa and Joel are so completely unawares as they spill all that critical information, in that guesthouse. Its a good plot that has no obvious unravelling, as yet.
  15. These kids have no idea of seriousness of the situation they are in nor the the killers they are dealing with. Sure theres scant information for Lisa to be suspicious about Bridget. But the fact that her husband was possibly murdered and both Catermarans passed through her and her husbands business ought to raise some degree of caution. Sadly, there are just too many hormones there for Joel and Lisa to wise up to Bridget before it's too late. There's no end to the depravity that Bridget and George will go. They need taking down big time before this story ends. But can Trevor's luck hold out time and again, agaist a serious assassin with wounded pride? Surely not without it appearing a farce.

    Kaboom!

That was a very fortunate burglary. Im surprised that the burglars didn't get blown up as they manhandled the propane tanks. The coincidence of receiving the pink rock from Dirks house, in the phone package that George stole from the Chandlery is bound to implicate Dirk in Trevor's mind. The plot is just getting so deep that they'll never fathom what's going on between Bridget, George, Dirk and the Cartel. It's a riveting read.
  17. I so enjoyed the humour in Coy's timing, as he initiated questions about anal sex, just as he held a cut-throat to Boone's bristled neck. I dare say Boone's Adams apple must have bobbed up and down, a time or two, as he swallowed tentatively, beneath that blade. Boone must be delighted at how pro-active Coy was, in wanting to enjoy the full experience of making love to him. Had Coy not been, this step could well have taken a lot longer and been far more awkward for Boone to discuss. As we might expect from a couple of inexperienced guys, the sex scene, was of necessity, a little perfunctory given the discussions of self cleansing and the how's, what's where's and when's, required in doing the deed. That's not to say that they didn't have a blast on their first attempts together. Clearly they did. But, as we all know, sex gets better with practice and the great news for Boone and Coy, is that their most intimate and pleasurable moments are yet to come. At least the mechanics of it all, won't need explaining, a second time, and with any luck, we will get a glimpse of all that in what follows. 🤞 Thank you for a memorable journey, Gary
  18. Got a real sense of how bad the corruption of Egyptian officials is, travelling through the Suez Canal. It's enough to make you think of planning an alternative route down the West Coast of Africa. I like the camaraderie of the travelling companions, helping eachother out. Makes all that corruption seem bearable. I must have misread the chapter where the gas tank was placed on board the yacht. I was sure that it was Jens boat that was targetted by mistake. Trevor can't obviously die this early in the story, so I've no idea how that will resolve itself. Fascinating story.
  19. This chapter was a great development to storyline. Trevor got to socialise with a whole group of kindred spirits who love to sail. Plus they formed a group to stick together to save them from becoming easy prey for Somalian Pirates. Unfortunately, it looks like Jen's cat has been mistakenly identified by the bomber. I just hope it detonates before Jen gets on board. All that banter between sailors of mono hulls and multi hulls was oddly exciting. Trevor has definitely found frirends to entertain him on his journey along the African coast.

    Lost and Found

Im glad that George and Bridget had a modicum of decency, by not listening to the three rounds of Joel and Lisa's meet up. It seems like Trevor will have plenty of company over the next four days, at least. He ought to befriend others so that he can journey the Red sea together: safety in numbers and all that. Who knows, Trevor may just find an person of interest to travel to Australia with.
  21. A sad end to Trevor's last day having Joel around. I'm surprised they both held up and weren't more emotional as they parted. Not to say they werent both pretty upset. The only good news is that Bes cut corners using ten year old dynamite. So much for him giving his special attention to this mission. With any luck that bomb will explode and kill the assassin. I can't believe that Trevor will be sailing on his own until Christmas. Something major has to happen there for the story to maintain interest.

    Cyprus

Gosh. This is getting unsettling. Trevor about to be left on his own to face an assassin and Lisa and Joel totally trusting Bridget, who is the last person to be trusted. What's worse is the guesthouse has been bugged, so everything that every sound that Lisa and Joel make will be avidly heard by Bridget and maybe George. That's just so twisted.
  23. I enjoyed diving in Kalithea for wrecks and an amazing view of a blow hole cave. Sorry they didn't get to see Lindos but escaping potential troubles with the Customs was a must. Bridget was trying to get Trevor away from the boat by suggesting a trip to the pyramids. She really is a callous, heartless witch, snuffing out the lives of both young and old with impunity just to protect her own skin.
  24. You write the storm scenes well. I can really sense the dangers, no matter how well staged they are for Joel's benefit. I so hate haggling for non priced items. Only the seller truly knows the true bottom line, so there's enormous risk in getting scammed. Even getting something at half the initial asking price, may still be well overpriced. You can never be sure. However, On this occassion, we know that Joel got a great bargain here, for an engagement ring that Lisa will be ecstatic to receive. It's ow on to one of my most visited Mediterranean destinations: Rhodes, and possibly, the beautifully iconic ancient coastal town of Lindos. I really hope that they get to spend time there. It remains a great concern how they are all so trusting of Bridget, who we now know to be a killer with designs to put an end to Trevor's life. How can Trevor possibly get out of this dire situation, other than to have his suspicions raised again about a bomb being planted on board and coincidentally uncover the real one. Great tension and barely one-fifth of the way through. I've no idea what's going to going to fill most of the remaining chapters. Maybe Trevor will be recruited by the FBI to help them bring the Cartel, Bridget and a corrupt DIC to their knees 🤞
  25. A great feel good love story where someone truly puts another before themselves. Unfortunately, Ted needs someone equally generous of heart to help him live a fulfilled life too. Im sure that Ted's experience with Jaylen will remain a moment of joy tainted, no doubt, with some element of shame. As one that has only heterosexual experiences to draw upon, it's stories like this that enable me to sense what a loving homosexual experience may be like. The comprehensive attention to detail, in all the emotional, cognitive and the physical feelings of each lover, is intensely more fulfilling than any mere description of the sexual act. A profoundly uplifting message.
