Doing stock-taking and tidying up boxes of tax receipts, never seemed such fun. Seeing all the yacht plans and pics has added immensely to the storyline. Oh to be 17 again and owning the Atlantis. A perfect dream 😎.

Boone ought to be encouraged by the events of the last 24 hours. However, the last six years, of having to constantly suppress and deny any dreams for Coy, has worn him down. I fear Boone wont ever permit himself to hope for their future together. To allow for that possibility, only to have it dashed, once again, would be too great a disappointment for Boone to bare. Better to just think of what Coy will probably do, in Boone's world of low expectations, and that, of course, will be for Coy to ride away when they reach their destination. But having not carried Boone's burden of frustration and regret, an independent observer sees a great deal to be encouraged by here. Coy while pensive in thought during the day, was not avoiding Boone in the least nor showing any signs of embarrassment about cosying up, the night before. Best of all, Coy was all too happy to cosy back up with Boone for this night too. Actions clearly speak louder than words, and while Coy may have been mulling over a lot, during his day's ride in the saddle, his body has already indicated where it wants to be. Moreover, Coy has even apologised for when he punched Boone and given a full explanation of his reasons why. He did it out of a sense of fear and cowardice and not because he didn't feel the same way Boone did. So Boone ought to realise that he no longer needs to protect Coy from Boone's own corrupting influence. You really have the momentum building nicely for these two Gary. Now just don't get any ideas about looking for spanners, or even sidewinders, to throw into the works. 🐍

Wow, such a good read. And it's whetted my appetite to plan selling the house and buying a Catamaran once the kids have left home. 😎

Trevor has proven himself, quite the entrepreneur, having organised a loophole to legalise the yatching ooperation at 15. No less of an achievement, was his ability to handlie an insistent Lisa and get her to agree to open up to his friend Joel. I imagine Trevor is not as well hidden away in the closet as he thinks he is. Julie was able to easily spot his interest in boys and it seems clear, that his dad is well along that road to. I think both Dirk and Trevor are finding it equally difficult to discuss Trevor's sexuality. But I'm pretty confident Dirk knows and Trevor knows his dad knows. The fact that Dirk hasn't reacted badly, is a massive indicator that Dirk will be fine with it.

phew = that was close! poo = something stinks 😉

Fabulous 'tub'. I take this is a fictional story based on someone's pride and joy: the Atlantis. I think I'm going to enjoy this story for the nautical aspects every bit as much as the storyline. Having kept things close to his chest from many, including his father, you have to wonder if Trevor knows his dad will react badly to Trevor's sexuality.

Interesting character build up both between Trev and Lisa and between them and their friends. Exciting scenario ahead when Trevor sails out on his own to his mothers presumed, resting spot. I love sailing and catamarans, in particular. I'm also interested in hearing what the misunderstanding was with Joel and Lisa. I expect Trev will meet with his friend Joel to find out.

Chapter 12 Confessions and Commandments
Guest034229 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 12 Confessions and Commandments
At long last the real communication begins and immediately things start to make more sense. Boone's nightmares in the river where Coy was speaking of losing him, of crying, of stating his love for him and of kissing him; all of it was true but simply occurred during Boone's fever. For some like Boone, the capacity or desire to love another man is something they are born with. For others, perhaps like Coy, it is a seed that falls on Rocky ground and may or may not take root as time prevails. It is never going to be an all or nothing affair for Coy. The major step of just sharing a cuddle in a bed-roll may be all that he needs. Likely, it will lead gradually, to Coy being more comfortable with other things. Will that ever be enough for them both? The odds are riding favourably on this being so. Great chapter Gary. For a time there, you had me thinking you weren't joking about focusing on the days scenery and the food. 😉- 88 comments

Chapter 11 River of Dreams
Guest034229 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 11 River of Dreams
Boone just can't get his mind off Coy. If it's not repeated nightmares of his losing him, to watery depths, then it's being besotted, with Coy's irresistible form, bathing in the river. Boone is ashamed of what he's feeling for Coy. I expect that he feels that this is likely to break them up again, if he can't control himself. However, Coy has grown up some, since that punch. He's not accountable to anyone but himself now and he's sure not uncomfortable with Boone being captivated by his naked body. Such a great place to cross the river, set up camp and start a new era, in the way they deal with eachother. I sense things are about to change for the better in Boone's life as he tries to clam up. And the initial move, will surely be made by Coy. -
I dare say that Matt's parents will lose the plot when they find out that Matt has a steady boyfriend. And now they can justify their anger because Matt lied to them as well. Not that they needed that excuse.

Matt's Rant -- What Does That Make Me?
Guest034229 commented on Rip Skor's story chapter in Matt's Rant -- What Does That Make Me?
I actually saw great value in this chapter. Not because I necessarily agree with it but it does appear completely consistent with the attitudes and motivations that Matt, the character has expressed throughout the story. It is being presented as opinion and not fact. Whether we agree with these views or not, they help state Matt's point of view, at this stage of his life. Naturally, I would not expect them to be fully matured, given that Matt is a 20 year old. But I did nevertheless enjoy the topics they raised as this encourages readers to assess the issues and consider their own standpoint. And while, in a summation of 2,829 words, there has to be many generalisations and skipped exceptions, there are a number of valid points made too. -
Parker's Birthday Party
Guest034229 commented on Rip Skor's story chapter in Parker's Birthday Party
Looks like every day is a birthday present for Parker and Matt. -
Very funny. That Aunt Helen so owns these two with her 'secret' knowledge of their favourite 'video' game. I'm sure Parker is not one to be embarrassed much by it but Matt sure is. Something for Helen to share with Ginny over their next glass of wine, no doubt. 😂
-
Whew, hot stuff. You did a good job of selling the benefits of a bottom. I'm intrigued 😀

Great start for Parker. Being everyone's pet high schooler clinched the deal with Matt's friends. Joe did what best mates do in these circumstances. Status quo with a fair share of ribbing.
-
Major spoiler alert in there, about them being together in the years ahead. Oh well, I suppose we knew this wasn't going to be a breakup drama. Hopefully Parker won't get them both kicked out of College. I mean Matt just can't say no to anything Parker asks. Looking forward to see what Joe and Matt's other friends make of Parker.
-
Why not use a condom, after sex, before putting on the dressing gown to go to the bathroom. Everyone gets what they want.
-
I suspect Joe took it well because both he and Matt had been through the dating scene, many times before, and weren't afraid of how one more date, would affect their best buds friendship.
-
Yup, this was a well written series of talks that transpired between Matt, Parker's mum and Parker himself. So easy to read and content that was profound, authentic and heart-warming, in the sense that they were all placing young Parker's welfare before their own.
-
Ha, I was shocked when I heard Parker's back CRACK. I guess that's only an issue when you're older. 😉 What a night; phew!

Chapter 10 Praises for Blue
Guest034229 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 10 Praises for Blue
Curiouser and curiouser. Are we any closer to knowing what is going on in Coy's mind? Coy is along for the ride to check out the denizens of Larkspur. One positive, that he may possibly settle there, came from his reaction to Boone's vision: "you make it sound so nice, Boone". That's a step up from Coy's earlier disinterest. But now, Coy is probably, for the first time, considering Boone's dream in a different way. That of spending a life near a contented Boone, living the dream, as opposed to facing the prospect of living the solitary life of a cobwboy, or worse. I suspect that Coy is waking up to the fact, that he has spent many years happily tagging along, doing essentially what Boone was doing. Boone was always the dreamer and the motivator. And while Coy didn't think much of Boone's plans to settle and farm, to begin with, the fact is, that Coy isn't driven much by any other goal either. Boone's dream is sounding better to Coy, each day, particularly if Coy can keep Boone in his world, and the lonely cry of the wolf, from his door.- 68 comments

Perfect. That feeling you get when you both know you got the better end of the deal. No point keeping the options open for something that can't be improved. Well captured @Rip Skor

Such a fun, light and authentic style of portraying those early dates. Just rolls of the tongue.

I did wonder how Matt now viewed his own sexuality. Clearly he no longer sees himself as straight and is happy with considering himself Bi. Considering how he took note of that girl in the cafe, who he didn't view as a dead donkey, I would say that was about accurate.
