Fun times on a first date. I get that Matt is questioning the need to make their relationship less casual and more secure. Parker is the one turning all the heads, so its fair to assume that he's better looking than Matt. Matt clearly knows he isn't one to cheat, even on someone this early in the relationship but he can't expect others to feel so committed. Better to put it out there and get some feedback from Parker. So Matt wanting to secure their 'boyfriends' status is only natural, I would say.

Cool mum. Matt really did throw Parker under the bus re the college next year plan. But that was worth the free pass Ginny was surely going to give him with her baby boy. Lol.
-
"a salty loogie with a helping of bleach" - how to sell it to a 'straight' guy 😉 Awkward time meeting his mum. A one night stand would surely have made a run for it.
-
Good choice Matt. Go with the flow.

Prompting being fed popcorn was the tipping point for mere intrigue. Sucking every finger and thumb went into the stratosphere and a long way beyond. We don't yet know if Matt's physical bits are in sync with his brain. But given these brief chapters, it won't be long before we find out.

Maybe Parker is younger than Matt thinks, if he's not driving yet. Definite signs of night out looming ahead, for Richard Gere.

Well is our boy bi or is he gay, or does it not matter?

What a fascinating read. There's an authenticity to the story; I feel like I know these people.😄

I like the honesty and awareness shown in this self assessment of what are the most confusing years of our lives.

I was speaking metaphorically. So is it all going to be plain sailing from here? That's a real shame! -
Chapter 9 Faith and Angels
Guest034229 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 9 Faith and Angels
Oh no! This is is way too short Gary. We'll never get to Larkspur at this rate! 😉 more double chapters, please! These characters are like a comfortable pair of slippers: the best kind. Everything about Coy and the Sheriff, we've pretty much guessed, after some careful prompting. But that just lulls our sense of security until the next big sucker punch or storm comes along. We never get to see them coming but, for sure, they're on their way. A life farming together in Larkspur. What could possibly go wrong? Thanks Gary for another piece of something good in a world that's busy going crazy. -
Which ones did I miss? It's often the case that we never truly appreciate a good thing, until we feel the pangs of it's absence. It didn't take Coy long to figure that out, and I suspect he'd known as much for a long time. It was all too easy living the lie, that Boone was being graced with Coy's presence. Boone's departure was a rude awakening for Coy, who now had to admit that Boone meant way more to him, than just some dude who was infatuated with him. This dollar had two sides to it, not one.

I'm sensing a bit of a pattern with injured characters being nursed back to good health, by an eventual partner. There was Keller, looking after Tobyn, in Morningstar and now Coy and Boone. I expect that will earn me a Gary but I know better . Your personal fetishes, are out. I know, Boone had to survive, but that was as convincing a near death experience, as I have read. Kudos, for convincing us of Boone's imminent demise. At one point, I did ask myself the question, could this story really continue, as Coy's life without Boone. I like the significance of the "Lord is my Shepherd" and that it means something to both Boone and Coy. I expect Coy followed closely on the trail of Boone, after going into town and being given a few words of wisdom by our good friend, the Sheriff. At last the story is back on track. This may be, far from the end of their troubles but I sense they'll always be close enough to get back together, if that is what they choose. A well written chapter my friend.

Give It To Me Straight - Chapter 10
Guest034229 commented on Comicality's story chapter in Give It To Me Straight - Chapter 10
I was really enjoying the tension of the straight gay guy relationship of the first seven chapters and wondered how long, you could have kept it going. I confess to being slightly disappointed when Ricky eventually caved in. That said, you're so talented detailing everything about these scenes that what we lose with the one hand, we gain with the other. -

Chapter 7 The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

It's a far cry from a travel lodge motel. In fact, It's such a perilous undertaking heading through the wilderness, that it almost makes no sense trying it on your own. Buddying up, even with a stranger could help in so many ways. I imagine that was more common. I suspect that the story will require Boone meeting up with someone soon, if its not to become a survivalist's guide to the wilderness. Or will we get Coy's first week, after the split? Poor Boone, however did he survive his upbringing? He deserves a break soon. -
Well that ended up pretty much as I had hoped for and expected. I imagine that they are willing to beat off the competition, to meet Sinclair's price. After all, it is for charitable causes, is it not? Trying hard not get ahead of myself but maybe David, TC and Sinclair will all have the right chemistry to make the evening work. And if it does, then why stop a winning formula? Those leather pants without underwear, in this heat, sounds a tad

Interesting. Six chapters on and we get to hear TCs and Davids personal and specific account of what went wrong on that fateful day. Sure we were able to guess the most of it beforehand but there were some fundamental differences that came to light. TC was punishing David because he unable to be the true submissive that Elliot was. We learnt that it was more than just the physical act of submission but more about the motivation for it. Elliot endured the pain to make TC happy whereas David enjoyed the pain for his own sexual gratification. What a complex world we live in. Good to see that they are doing it right this time. Starting as friends and building on that with small steps to which they both consent to. Now for the interesting part: where will this lead them to next: a shared sub?

Chapter 6 Cloudy Thinking
Guest034229 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 6 Cloudy Thinking
I like how they got to talking more personally in this chapter. Sure, there was a lot of discussion about the logistics of various things, like meals, the splitting up of gold and possessions, and of packing up. But each was desperately trying to read the others intent and motivation in everything that was said and done. It's a real shame that they can't seem to get on the same page, at the same time. At various points , they've both expressed a desire to stay together. The problem is that too much has been left unsaid, for far too long. I understand Coy's pride, in wanting to be his own man. He needs to prove that he can live independently, more to himself than anyone else. This just isn't the right time, for living under Boone's shadow. Boone is clearly regretting just how baldly he stated his plans to strike out on his own. He's fast realising how insensitive that was and he now really wants Coy to join him. Being rushed out of camp by Coy is causing him to reconsider whether he should hang around for another day or two, until they can clear the air, and say everything that needs to be said. The finality of their separation, has finally come home to roost but it is Coy that is the one that needs convincing now. It has nothing to do with the original issue of whether he can ever feel anything for Boone. Rather it is whether Coy can ever become his own man and have others, Boone included, see him as such. I am increasingly enjoying the story Gary, in case that needed spelling out, among so many misunderstandings. -
Chapter 5 Straight Shootin'
Guest034229 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 5 Straight Shootin'
I think both these guys need to stop licking their perceived wounds for a moment. The times they are living in were not made for ease of communication through internet, phone, post or automobile. Very likely, the vast majority of people got separated and never saw eachother again, with only the haziest notion of where the other was located. I imagine many people tried to reconnect a few rare times in their lives, when they met and asked travellers from those parts, whether they had heard tell of their friends. But it was all too likely that they never did. The world is a big place and was far bigger then. So breaking up is so very easy, but there's a real possibility, that they will never ever meet again. Wake up and smell the roses guys before it's too late. -
Chapter 5 Straight Shootin'
Guest034229 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 5 Straight Shootin'
At last, everything that had been left unsaid, got aired. It makes sense for both of them to get their own farms in the same locality and Larkspar is as good as any. Plus Coy was switched onto the possibility. After all, they are all the family that they'll ever have, so retaining friends is important even if Boone is committed to finding some one more like himself. Coy's obviously surprised to hear how unhappy Boone has been for years. He's just getting to realise everything that Boone has done, was for him. Coy's probably realising how much of a liability he has been and is now defensive that he can take responsibility for himself. But ultimately, he doesn't want to lose all contact with his friend. They need to travel north together, at the very least.- 96 comments

There are times I wish I wasn't so opinionated. Glad you didn't take offence. 😉

It's always good to have practical and positive people around you when times are hard. But a lot of what these therapists come out with is pure hogwash, as far as I am concerned. David and TC profess to love eachother yet their therapists are ecstatic that they are both thinking of remaining friends and moving on to greener pastures. Don't get me wrong, Dr. Charlotte was an entertaining and supportive character but, at the end of the day, it's less about imparting wisdom for a practical plan and more about pleasantries to get you feeling better about yourself. I'm pretty sure that TC and David could have figured out as much by themselves, in that time. It was a good read though.
