Great start, well Malik has exceptional people skills both in reading and playing them. Think Nora got way more than she bargained for. Love the way you create an atmosphere and transport that into my mind like I am a spectator not a reader. Bit of smellorama in there too. Really curious which way this develops further.... -
Although Jack was an asshole lately , the feeling that remains is that he was a decent guy, who worked wonders on different family members over the time. Like Matt's illness, Nana's recovery from being drugged. His not so very often but when needed to the point interventions at family dinners. It's a big blow, hopefully this doesn't create rifts among family members in the mourning phase that's coming now. And Isidore and Will need to rethink their priority's now.

Well both stories have great storylines that suck you in like a vortex and keeps you spinning. The lord Byron part is a detail for example that's brewing in Mark's head for ages and don't forget his Queen Victoria reference many chapters ago. Just reread millennium and such an story arc isn't easy either,you discover every time a reference you've missed earlier. I make a deep bow for the great times you have given us with both storylines. The banter afterwards is a sign that they are "real" to us and something that is an added bonus. 💕, 😁

I remember a lesson from my history teacher about colonization and decolonisation that the French decolonisation was so hard because the French didn't let local government intact unlike the Brits and Dutch. And remember one time walking into the classroom with DIEN BIEN PHU written in the biggest capital letters all over the black board. Nice to be back at the very beginning of a great place to come home to.

John has every right to say fuck you scumbag and so does Marie and even Claire as their mother. Damn😁, you'll have us hanging for another whole week, how bad are you Mr Arbour?. Great chapter shedding some light and another great cliffhanger to end with. Really like it that Travis asks Jeremy for help for his interior design. Hope that John and Marie get a better relationship with Jack. Yup loved it

Had such a history teacher also, still remember bits of his lessons 40+ years later. He wrote the important things in big letters on the Blackboard: Russian Japanse war TOTAL ECHEC !!!!! and the complete Blackboard was full😁

Yup it was perfectly normal behaviour from Jack, certainly in front of your kids, you're absolutely right. What has the number of Wills sex partners to do with the behaviour of Jack? Your golden boy vendetta doesn't help you here. Meh..... totally not convinced. Jack was a disgrace as a father and ex husband.

Well Jack certainly has crushed through the ice. Really on a self destructive path. Hope Marie can handle the way she was hurt by Ryan and her father. Great thing that Claire and Will reconciled. Isidore hasn't seen the light yet, French stubborness😉. Still not sure about Taylor's motives.... Would love to overhear the conversation between John and Mrs Hobart. Great chapter! Mark, another atomic family dinner that will echo for some time.

Well dinner time didn't disappoint this time, to use an understatement. Jack in a full blown midlife crisis. Love the way Stef and JP gave Claire and Isodore a good history lesson in how things really went last time. Thor seems to get a grip on his feelings and sexuality. Great chapter!

Why do I get a silence before the storm feeling. Kinda getting lured in a mistakingly false feeling of protection. Mmmm , great chapter but makes me nervous because of the calm. Happy and healthy New Year to you all. Really hope it will be better than I think it will be.
