What a spectacular chapter. I love Calvert and Granger. They are both at their best when they are together. I hooe this is arranged carefully. Winkler is 1 on a million. Such a loyal assistant and friend. I have a feeling that Capt Durham will it be back. Whatever Lord St Vincent has to do with the King, may well impact on George and Francis. I can't wait for the next chapter. I can't hardly wait!!!

That is so kind @R. EricThank you. Although Daniel has been gone for some years now, you knew true love. How wonderful that must be. I still hope that I will find "him", although at 56, the window is closing quickly. Anyway, I've never been to the Caribbean. Miami was the closest I got. I do love Thailand though. @raven1 lives here I believe.

That line about wanting to take care of Colin is very moving. That aspect of caring through taking care of someone is very powerful. Colin and Owain do take care of each other. As for Joe. All will be well I suspect. Joe is quite a mature 17 year old and Owain is the cool uncle. 😎 It's right though for Colin to give them a day or 2 to settle. I love that Mhairi is exploring.

Our two guys are getting on really well. They are learning to be in one anothers' space and to be accommodating. They are a good match.

I absolutely love this series. I k ow that Calvert will be expected to marry, although he could probably get away with not marrying if he is "married to the navy", but in order for him and George to develop their own close bond, a wife would be necessary. It still works this way for citizens of the Middle Eastern country in which I currently live.

Agreed. For a princess to marry a highly ranked noble would be unlikely, to marry a commoner, impossible.
