    Chapter One

What a great start. As @drpaladin has said, the strange winds indicate magic and perhaps some concert spying taking place. I like Nathan, so let's see how his journey unfolds. 😌

    Nineteen

This was a lovely chapter, where we see Thomas showing real care for and acceptance of Keith. These two have struck gold, finding each other.

Hey @Gary L, I couldn't agree more. Formal dinners are so tedious. A barbeque in the garden or on the verandah and I'm as happy as Larry.

    Carmella Bellini

Another amazing chapter. This series just seems to get better and better @Mark Arbour. I love the neat solution to the reumours and while it will make if more difficult for our two men to see each other, their reputations will be secured, Calvert could very well make a major positive impression on the Royal family which could in turn elevate him in all kinds of ways.

Now that is a very good plan 👌

Excellent points @drpaladin. I agree. I think that the grumpy old St Vincent and possibly Queen Charlotte made a very good strategic decision to defent Calvert and by doing so to defend Granger. And at the time, who in their right mind, would oppose th king's decision?

Wow. All really good points @drsawzall. There is a lot to catch up on, and then war again in 1803.

@centexhairysub that is a very good point. This posting, whilst disappointing for Calvert in the moment, could very well elevate him in society and if he performs it well, coupled with his naval success, result in a title.

And now that I've caught up I shall have to be patient. 😆 🤣

What a super chapter. Full of light-hearted fun. Still wondering about Isobel Bonner. Let's see.

I think Isoble Bonner is going to be someone that will positively impact Keith's business. It will be interesting to see if anything unfolds in that direction. 😉 As for Caroline, 😆 she is certainly looking after Thomas. I think they are a nice couple, Caroline and Nate.

A lovely chapter. Thank you. I like Nate and Caroline. They seem like the typical Anglican clergy couples I have met over the years. Polite, interested and mostly very tolerant.

    Fifteen

I'm delighted they will have a holiday together. It will be a time of intimacy and discovery for them. As others have said, Thomas is going to be the balm that helps Keith heal from his abusive past.

Alison seems lovely. I think she could become a good friend to them both. Thomas and Keith just getting on with ordinary life is very relaxing to read. Loving it as I sit on my balcony overlooking the Peraian Gulf.

Hey @Anton_Cloche religion, politics, money and sex can all be hot button topics in amy social setting. Without those topics though the conversations can get boring. Im glad Keith and Thomas are doing things with each other but also for each other.

Keith's friends show their true colours and rally around him. That was great news. A super chapter. 👌

Well that's a question I hadn't thought of. What exactly was Den doing at a quiet football match? ⚽️

The rugby - football/soccer divide rears its head. This was a great opportunity for Keith to be around other gay men and couples in a very normal social setting. I'm pleased that Keith and Thomas are boyfriends.

It was the same in South Africa. Football/soccer was rarely on TV growing up and we did not play it at school. Rugby union in winter and cricket in summer. And every boy had to play both.

That was very satisfying. Our guys are getting to know each other on a new level. Sleeping together does take things to a new level.
  22. Special Circumstances is a thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I started reading it as it was approaching its final chapters and I couldn't help myself - I just had to go to the next chapter. A riveting tale of intrigue, love, action and the supernatural. Don't miss this one.

    Epilogue

This was an excellent story, beautifully written. Thank you for taking the time and engaging us all so completely in the tale.

    The End

What a fabulous story this has been. You have a wonderful way with words and an ability to develop full and interesting characters, with whom we empathize. Jame and Mike have turned into a really mature, loving couple. The Minister is chastised but will go on in politics. Mwangi is going to play a big role in Jamie's further formation.

    The End

Or one of its most powerful assets if properly directed.
