You are so evil Goat! This keeps up and the boys are going to start walking funny! As if I didn't want Eric's head on a stick already. Great chapter and can't wait to read the next! Though as Graeme has said, I do think you went a little 'McGyver' on us with the make shift shoes, but I suppose a lot of the blood hadn't returned to their brains yet, depending on how 'evil' you are going to be, may not any time in the near future! Very nice stuff Goat! Can't wait to read more!

Sky's The Limit by captainrick

Congrats Captain! I think it's great they have decided to host you and am sure they won't regret it! You know I'll be waiting in the wings to read the next chapter! Take care! -
Sorry I didn't answer before now, I didn't see the post. It's pronounced just how you might read it. Nothing fancy. Slegna, with a soft G like in gum. So... <Sleg> <Nuh> Glad you're liking it so far! LOL you say the nicest things

I'm still loving this Camy! I really enjoyed chapter 4! One thing though... and only one... "extemporized" I looked it up... (well I hadn't read this word before and I love to learn new words) lol Here is the definition I found: 'to speak extemporaneously' Ohhh yeah... that lead to another word look up lol I've finally surmised that this means "to speak without thinking or forethought" LOVE the story, LOVE the editor, and I would LOVE to see chapter 5! (*hint, hint*) I really do love this place I learn more and more every day!

[Lugh] "Oidcha Shamhna" by Lugh
DarkShadow replied to AFriendlyFace's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Yes... I would recommend anything that Lugh has put down into words! He rocks as a writer and even more as a person. You're an inspiration Lugh Take care! -
Maybe... we're writing that special something for you to read. Maybe... the bar has been raised and the olders teach us noobs the way of things... Maybe.... you typed in the web address wrong.

I read them all! I think they are all well written, but I have to say my favorite was Settling for Butterflies! The way the person watches the wedding procession and describes the good and bad of the bride and how people percieve her is very interesting! I like the feel of how the onlookers settle themselves to the fact that, 'yes' he's marrying the bitch, suck it up. The personal reflection at the end I thought was amazing. "But me I want to be sure, and never settle, For anything less, than butterflies" To me it reads as though you would prefer to find something a little less imperfect and closer to true love. Yeah... I did like them all, but this one was my favorite. Great stuff and welcome to GA!

I sent you an email but I didn't say how much I really enjoyed this chapter. Revenge is SWEET! This time it was served with duct tape and rope! I loved it Goat! Several satisfied snickers snuck out when I read this. Necktie Party! It still makes me chuckle thinking about it. So... is there another chapter in our future... say.. Tuesday? Or maybe late on Tuesday? Or possibly on Tuesday? I'm kind of curious to see what that little rat bastard is going to do when he gets back to school! If I were the father, I'd be half tempted to ground the demon seed from daylight! Thank you for the great story! --- As for what Graeme posted, I've sent you some changes to consider(just minor grammar crap), but overall I was glad to have the breather. If you had left me with another giant cliff hanger I probably would have been teetering on too much frustration. That is just me though. I do see Graeme's point though. I finished reading the chapter thinking... (there is another chapter right? or is this the end?) Anyway, I can't wait to read more! Take care!

I would have thought by now... you of all people would know how much I have to learn lol! We're working on it! Give us a minute or 900 lol!
-
You know... that is totally my fault

Thanks for the kind words LOL Love the band name. If this effort does nothing else, we'll learn, and hopefully provide some good reading. I don't know if they are entire universes. Maybe more than a variation on a theme? It seems everything has been done at least once. Hmmm... it's hard to think of something original. Might Morphin Emo Butt Rangers From Rectum City on Planet Uranus!! (Nahh... probably been done to death. LOL) I don't know if I'd call them Shadowists. That almost sounds like back up singers, and they are surely equals in a callaboration. Take care of you Camy and thanks much! If you have time.. Read Mirage's Prologue. It's short, but it's pretty cool!

LOL! How about some loose leaf notebook paper and a crayon picture instead? I doubt this story will ever be print grade, but here's hoping it's not too painful and hopefully a pleasant read from beginning to finish. I have to agree. Any more than 2 weeks is too long for me to wait. By that time I will have fogotten I was reading it. I want everything NOW! (or sooner) I'll see what happens. If it poses a problem, then something (or a few things) will have to be put on hold. Right now I'm trying to dedicate at least a week to each story. It doesn't usually take more than 5 days to squeeze out a chapter, but we'll see. My chapters never seem to be much more than 10 pages long, but I suspect that will change in the future as well. Writing seems to be taking longer and longer as I progress, and try harder to do it the 'right' way. I have no doubt in my mind, that I'm going to have to learn every lesson the hard way. I am stubborn and thick skulled. It's just the way it is. (heh I know how I am) Thanks a lot for writing and reading. It's always great to have criticism and feedback from prolific readers and authors. It motivates me to write that much more. I only wish I would have started when I was a lot younger. Maybe I'd remember more of these damn grammar rules! LOL Thanks again and take care! Shannon

You know... I have a shirt that says that exact thing!

LOL why would that surprise you? (the fragrances I mean) If you're wondering... they are the 'imposter' versions and animal safe Besides... I'm not made of money you know lol (esteemed... heheh you crack me up) By the way... I do occasionally eat meat. We weren't born with incisors for no reason. Though... honestly... I try to stick to the SOY substitute. However... I do have my weakneses. Today... it was the Whopper with cheese. ALL HAIL BURGER KING! By the way... for those that asked Yes... the root bear barrels are the candy sort. I LOVE THEM! and.. they're Russel Stovers! Ooooo... soon I think there will be only three. Yes... I'm almost CERTAIN of it! They are there specifically for those days when I have had a meal riddled with garlic. They work better than starlight mints, and I prefer the taste hehe. Well... I'm glad I'm not the only one toating around a great big pile of crap! Yes... the MP3 player and assorted CD's join my 'man purse' on occasion as well. I have to have my tunes! It's come in handy a few other times too. What does crack me up... is the straight guys at work come to me when they have a hang nail or snag in their finger nails. WTF? Everyone wants to borrow the freaking nail file. I suppose it's easier for a guy to ask a guy than it is to ask a woman. I don't get it, but whatever. The multihead screw driver... well... I'm a computer geek. I can't tell you how many times I've needed a screw driver to rip apart a tower and replace components and what not. It seems to me... the 'man purse' is making a come back. YAY I'll be in style again soon .... lol ... NOT! (Lugh... I have to ask... What exactly do you do with that Duct Tape I need to get me some safety pins though... I hadn't thought of that and they have saved my butt a couple of times... Yep... that must be done!

Anyone got a spare crow-bar and a ball peen hammer? Thanks much for the advice Lugh! I am pretty much taking today as a mental health day and doing a little reading. I will probably watch this third movie I rented and stretch out for a little while. Then get back to work and do some writing. The Druid is giving me dirty looks from the hard drive. LOL Sitting cross legged on the floor for 8 or 10 hours tends to put my body a little out of wack. (thank the gods for morning Yoga!) One of these days... I'm going to have to invest in a computer desk and chair!
-
LOL you keep your muse away from me goat! That thing is spooky! My muse is melody.. yours... well.. heheh a Rabid Choobaka(the furry thing from StarWars) on crack.
-
EVIL? He's not evil lol... I hope more along the lines of ruthlessly logical. Maybe... Asher views his pet in a way that if he loses David that the sting won't be as horrible as losing a lover. Which... for any of us that have had a pet, know that is not true. Pets become family over time whether we like it or not. Then again... Asher's never had a pet before. Does Asher really seem evil to you? He's definately not supposed to be a likeable character yet I used this chapter to flesh out the people a bit more. I've been told time and time again that I don't give them enough depth, so I hope you were able to see a bit more into the psychy of Asher. I feared going a bit overboard, but Sharon and Birds don't seem to think I have, or... maybe they were just being kind lol Nahh... Birds is pretty blunt. He'd have told me if I were screwing up. As per Graeme's suggestion I've moved away from the 'biblical' side of things. Didn't want to bruise the bible beaters you know I had three endings for this saga flash through my mind last night, and I'm not sure which I'll pick. Lucif, well... I just don't know yet. I'm torn! Thanks for reading Goat I promise not to put any more vaseline on your hooves while you sleep... (well for the next couple of weeks anyway) Slippery sliding goats... I couldn't resist. I think I have a buyer for the photo's on e-bay!

I'm sure you'll do great with whatever you come up with! Then again... <EVIL SMILE> I'm editing for you! Gods help us all! LOL don't be giving away all my secrets now Music does move me Now, I wonder where I got the evil cliffhanger from. You wear them horns as well as any demon goat Well... originality lol... we'll attribute that to the green stuff in my pipe LOL I just have a twisted mind. I can't help it! Maybe they dropped me too many times as a baby. Baby's do bounce right? I've never had the chance to test it, but my parents assure me it's true. Everything I write lately seems to be a challenge, but I'm learning a LOT! So I'm thankful.
-
So... are you saying I can expect the next chapter tomorrow? I'm confused... when are you posting it?
-
A Lycan is a lycanthrope. A shapeshifter lol. You're it unless you choose otherwise Mirage will write 'The Fey'. I'm sure it will be special.
-
You listen to Miss Kitty Every comma, semi-colon, and adverb is paramount. Trust Miss Kitty... she knows best
-
If you'll be my editor then soon You're perfect! I don't care if your 5 or 50 lol. Age means nothing to me. No changes to the prologue though... lol that's a general rule of mine. Though... I do hope you will oblidge me for the next 17 or 18 chapters Feel up to it?
-
Well... I've started 'The Lycan'. 'The Fey', well... I suppose I can only hope that inspiration will strike. I'm an impatient being and when the words hit me, I have to get them down in print. This project is bigger than I had hoped. Being it has turned into a one man show. That kinda sucks... but I'll manage I guess. It won't be as good as it could have been, but I'm going to give it one hell of a try. Talon House has agreed to host 'The Lycan'. CRV is currently hosting 'The Druid'. Midnight's Rainbow... well... that will only be here. As I have always said... it will either be my curse or blessing to GA. 'The Fey' .... well it doesn't exist yet (uhhh Lugh...... heheh care to give me a hand?) Nothing like being put on the spot 'eh? I do understand if you're too busy. I just think you could do it better than I could. Well... the wheels are in motion. Hold tight folks It's going to be a bumpy ride!
-
Yes... I'm hell for a prologue. I love 'em. Just enough to hopefully entice you into reading more You can find it here: https://www.gayauthors.org/eficiton/viewstory.php?sid=232
