In the chapters leading up to this one, Mitch has been alternately referred to as sheriff or by name. This chapter he’s just called Mitch (or Mitchell 😍); the man and his background a bit laid bare. Becoming sheriff was a calling, perhaps something he was destined to do, and not something he could easily walk away from. But it isn’t all of Mitch. Seems to me that Will understands that. I guess that’s why he road back a year later and ultimately settled in one place hoping they would meet again. This will be a difficult conversation for Mitch. Will knew why Mitch became a lawman and yet left without a goodbye. Both sides are valid; sometimes it feels too hard to stick around while the person you love places themselves in mortal danger. But if someone truly loves you, shouldn’t they support and assist when you follow the path you feel called to? If Will is intuitive enough to realize Mitch wouldn’t willingly give up his job as sheriff, recognizing there is more going on than Boone and Coy are saying, he must also be aware how crushing of a blow his leaving was to Mitch. I am still hopeful. I believe whatever time on earth Mitch has left, it will be all the richer spent with Will. They have a lot to talk about first, though.

We all knew there was history between Mitch and Will but when Will called him Mitchell I started tearing up and didn’t stop until, well… guess I am still tearful. I really didn’t expect the backstory that played out. I feel for Will. When you love someone, it can seem impossible to endure if the loved ones path puts them in mortal danger. Facing grave illness is different than knowingly facing peril. I hope Mitch is open to hearing Will out. They have lost two decades together but obviously are still very much in love. Faith is interlaced throughout this story; it gives me hope.

Everything about this chapter made me smile. Coy’s genuine interest and regard for Mitch’s well being really shines through. Doesn’t seem meddlesome to me at all, just a well thought out and prayed about work around to get Mitch and Will in the same place long enough to meet/talk. In the end, Boone couldn’t help but agree to join in. As my grandma would say, put another potato in the pot; I think we’ve got company for supper!

This whole world feels so real. Every character, every interaction, every situation is beautifully written with imagination and depth. I wish it could go on for much more than the last 3 updates, which I look forward to more than can adequately express.

I bet that after some back and forth Boone and Coy will find some way to work around Mitch’s request concerning Will. After all, Mitch only asked for his name to not be mentioned in Will’s presence. That doesn’t mean others cannot be told… or let on that there is a guest at the farm. Boone and Coy obviously care for Mitch. Sometimes that’s the best medicine.

Jeezus that was a foreboding chapter.

Interesting! Thanks for the knowledge burst. Now I find myself ready to do some google researching of lung cancer survival rates…and whether meeting back with lost loves can be curative 😉😍. Certainly surviving that long journey bodes well.

I’m going to start at the end; Mitch and Will Merrick have some sort of ~history~ together. And, the ex-sheriff has zero issues with Boone and Coy /two men in love. 🤔🧐 Maybe meeting back up with Will Merrick can be just what the doctor ordered! Which leads me to Mitch’s health. Sounds like tuberculosis (consumption), which is contagious. So that worries me. For everyone.

There are a lot of ages and stages of our lives that we are confronted with fears. Or perhaps it might be more accurate to say our fears confront us. Being able to figure out how to best handle the feelings and how we behave is a worthy life skill not all of us master. This story is exceptionally written. We don’t just learn how Mike ‘put away’ his fear, but how those around him handle theirs. Mike emerges a much happier, emotionally stronger person. It makes me smile to think of Mike passing that along.

Rather sweet way for two people to fall in love, and with the pandemic laced throughout it all felt very real.

I am absolutely not ashamed to admit I squealed when I saw this posting. And what a great beginning; the difficult birthing of a new colt and a bit of the past coming back lured me right in. If you’d asked me a week ago if I missed Boone and Coy, I’d have said sure but I was certain of their happily ever after. Now I’m all intrigued about Mitch, wishing for Monday and wondering how I got along without Boone and Coy for so long.

In Chapter 2 Eloise discussed giving birth to Patrick. But in Chapter 1 we learned that Ford came from nothing and refused to discuss his family. So I’m kinda going with Ford being Hunter.

So my original hunch was right that Michael wrote the screenplay. Sadly I usually guess wrong, so I’m not sure I want to say my thoughts on who Hunter is. I will mention that the story’s tag of brothers and incest has always worried me. That doesn’t leave many options, assuming we have met Hunter.

Such a perfect way to honor Jian’s life and give her memory pride of place in not just Rashan’s life but all those who belong to Sun-Filled Manor and Silver Shore Valley.

I will start at the end… my hope is Patrick seeing Jude’s business card will snap him back out of The Stepford Wives trance his mother just created.

Everything about Patrick feels over the edge. While he expresses love and an inability to live without Ford, going so far as needing to hear his voice, his thoughts are laser focused on Ford’s betrayals. He thinks Ford is a sex addict and maybe a sociopath, he questions Ford’s motives for every interaction and believes he is nothing more than invisible or a maid to Ford. What is holding Patrick in this relationship? I also can’t wait to learn more about Ford! I have my suspicions there is more to him than a sex addicted cheat who worked his way into a lucrative career with the help of his husband’s parents.

Oh my… Michael must be black haired guy. 😳 And I am worried about who I think his brother is!

The story starts out deceptively simple and with a calm sense of watching two people fall in love. Just like the first part of a roller coaster ride where you are staying upright and enjoying the view. It’s not hard to fall for Jett, Kyle and their adorable doggies. But watch out as the ride ratchets up and the twists and turns start! The plot is as unique as it is genius. You won’t be disappointed!

Did not even blink an eye at the Vegas wedding. My husband and I got married while we were still in college. Cheapest honeymoon out of the Midwest were the flights and hotels for Vegas. Yep. Honeymooned in Vegas! 😂 We made some lasting memories and bet our guys will too. Maybe ‘Elvis’ will officiate their wedding 😎🤣

Perfect wrap up! I’m glad Heather and her baby’s whereabouts can now be found. That is important closure for Kyle. And our boys are getting married! Yea! I left this story with a smile and a sigh.

Absolutely one of my most favorite stories on this site. The depth of details, descriptive narrative and character development, along with the thrilling plot, kept me interested and coming back over the last almost 2 years. I never lost the thread or forgot where we were in the story. It was as if the characters were all real and walked along in life with me. It is rare for me to use the term epic to describe a chapter or a story, but this one certainly deserves it. I’m looking forward to the next 5 updates and will patiently wait knowing I won’t be disappointed.

This amazingly epic story is listed as having 30 chapters on the author’s page. This is chapter 29. My guess is that the completion status was submitted along with the final chapter but somehow got posted before the chapter. I have faith we won’t be left with Jihan literally hanging!

The build up to the rescue had my heart pounding. Then every bit of the rescue felt like I was right there in the house with them! Yea Bruce!!! And the kiss and declarations of love between Jett and Kyle made me cry. I wasn’t sure how it was all going to play out but must say I am glad Kyle learned to shoot a weapon. Throughout all of this I was most worried about Kim, however she is resilient and with accepting Megan staying with her I knew she would be ok. Well done. Very well done.

Perfectly done and very well paced. However, I agree that Tues is too far away 😉 and your twists and turns in this story have us all literally wondering what is next. It’s just too hard to guess.
