  1. A shapeshifter's lifespan is an average of 200 years. In due time, they have to move in order to deter humans from noticing their slower aging process. Changing names would help prevent a heart-stopping moment of "Oh, I heard of someone named Vincent Bolton out in the Kentucky area. Short guy, just like you. Say... you look just like him, now that I think about it." And sure, the odds are so stinkin' low of that actually happening, but it could also hinder a hunter's progress should one start tracking a shifter or two. One can assume the Hunter's Association has a list of alphas, and with a name like Vincent Bolton, a hunter might immediately recognize it. Hearing Vincent Wilson, and the hunter won't. Glad you liked the wedding, doc!
  2. Saturday came faster than expected. Hell, this whole day is zooming by! The excitement coursing through Vincent was palpable. He sat on the deck to watch the sunset an hour ago. The blue sky turned a red-orange with a purple hue, signaling it was almost time. He shivered, but not from the January chill. "You about set?" asked Mason. Jolting in his seat, Vincent screamed, "Holy hell!" Catching his breath, he growled as his mate tried to keep a straight face. "Mace! Where did you come
  3. Everything's fixed on my end.
  4. That's the hope. It just happened earlier in the evening (6pm -ish here in Kentucky), but there should be a fix in the morning (can't speak for the admins, just keeping the positive vibes going!) Even in this basic format (not the new standard theme/format. Myr has more class than that...), you should still be able to read the story you're following, albeit a little more difficult to navigate. Not confident in the ability to leave reactions though.
  5. Sorry, just laughed my a$$ off for a minute. Can't believe I missed this... Uhh... @Valkyrie. You've been demoted. I'm sure it's another cache issue, but I couldn't help but point it out. The Purple Promising Authors are pushing past the Signature Authors!!!
  6. The basic format's back, but it seems to just be the main stories and authors page (when I click on them in the red banner). Main forums page is unaffected. Edit: it's affecting the home page (the actual one, not the forums), and anything involving a story archive (either the main one, or any author's), the authors archives (the one that lists all of the authors), and any member's profile (mine, as well as others). Edit#2: All of stories is affected.
  7. All good! Everything's back to normal.
  8. Checked on my phone, then my laptop. Both have all parts of the site in this basic format, almost like an old-school HTML format. Visited several other sites, and this one's the only affected, so it's not my devices. Unsure if it's an issue on anyone else's end, but I'll post this here with a screenshot. Devices used: ASUS Chromebook, Samsung Galaxy A-series phone.

    Chapter 15

@kbois I'll be recommending Bud Light Next. No carbs or vodka or gin. Also, look into a brand called Skinny Girl. They make a dang tasty lime margarita and a peach marg. For gin, I'll recommend Indoggo strawberry gin. Just drop in some lemonade or pineapple juice. Vodka, mix a strawberry vodka in some Crystal Light for a really, really, dangerous time...

    Chapter 15

Oh, dear God. I close the store at midnight tonight, then need to reopen at 10:30am!! Looks like I'm editing on my phone today.

    Chapter 15

I smell an email incoming. My bad, @kbois. I just thought @Mrsgnomie's Loren became a fashion icon.
  13. Probably would've more sense geographically, but nah! Morrine could only be a tiger in my mind.

    Chapter 101

Why do I have the feeling that the next chapter is going to give off Bonds Unbroken vibes? You know, when... If so, poor Garjah. Essell, you better plan a great rescue.
  15. Well thank you! What a lovely way to wake up this morning. I love playing with tension and humor. Just build up something, add some previous history and drama, teeter on the boiling point for a bit, then have someone sit on a whoopee cushion. I don't care what they say; those things are still funny. Those dang teenieboppers. Always ruining moments and stuff.

    Chapter 100

This!!! I've been suspecting Timok did research involving Four-Arm-human gene blending, and was under the impression the "rescue experiment" was actually meant to kill Essell back on the ship. That leads to the question, "why didn't it?" There might be some underlying anatomy-related health benefits from Essell's bonding (can't remember if he was already bonded to Garjah at that point. If not, there goes my theory) to Garjah. I might need to go back and reread, create a timeline, and take notes...
  17. I'm sure it won't be an issue. She usually gets her way.

    Chapter 100

Essell's panic attack was brilliantly written. Absolutely perfect! I still think this is all Timok. He's such a stinker in all of this.
  19. I didn't create many female characters, but I'm proud of them in this series. Morrine is easily my favorite though
  20. Just sayin'; I love the theories here! It's very entertaining.
  21. Well... my answer is 🤐🤐🤐. But I will say you are on the right path.
  22. Tasha is 100% based on my husband. Right down to the small things she says and does. If you think reading about her is funny, I live with her, go grocery shopping with her, and have dinner with my parents with her. It gets entertaining very fast.
  23. Lol. This being my first story, I was a young and dumb writer. I most certainly did not do that [one] on purpose. I'm just tickled you're enjoying the story. Hope you read fast enough to get caught up on the third book. We're nearing the final ten or fifteen chapters in that one... Would love to see you at the big finale.
  24. I'm sure they're just as thrilled! The duo haven't gone on a road trip per say, but they do travel later on in the story.
  25. Always excited to blind-side a reader .
