Light, frothy, camp and very funny @Ticklishboy30. I loved the description of Jack, especially the description in bold "He set the mug on the breakfast bar beside the plate of three raspberry-filled jelly doughnuts, pulled the stool out from under the bar's top surface ledge, and his plump, juicy, leopard print thong-clad ass sat on the padded black seat cover." The absolute highlight of the story must be "After pouring the freshly brewed coffee into his white mug decorated with a photo of Dolly Parton showing off her iconic smile and bust on one side and her name on the other side of the handle". I am not, and never have been a morning person, but to have Ms Dolly smiling at me first thing in the morning might almost put me a in a "cheerful" mood. I have had many pedicures in my life and can relate to the ticklishness of the feet, even having the foot pad excising the dead skin is ticklish.

I found myself incensed by Rachel, a woman for whom rationally I should have had a great deal of sympathy, but the more she disclosed about her difficulties with her husband, the more I found myself despising her almost as much as him. She feared for her life, I get that, but what is shameful is that she did not fear for the life of her son, a son she gave birth to, one for whom she was at least partially responsible, particularly as he was just a defenceless child. She gave herself a chance at an improved life, but she could not afford her son that same opportunity. I realise it is easy for me to judge because I have never found myself in such dire circumstances, but I don’t buy her excuses as to why she left Caleb behind. I call bullshit. Like @drsawzall, I don’t trust Rachel at all. And although it may be upsetting for him to know, I think Killian should tell Caleb his mother is alive, as he deserves to know what a selfish, heartless bitch she is. And whilst he is at it, he should let Caleb know his paternal grandparents are also a pair of cu#$s. Excellent writing @Josh Aterovis, but who is Finnegan Byrne? And whilst I am pleased Adam appears to have returned to something like his former self, I simply must know more. I understand his reluctance to sell the beach house, it holds such a significant place in his heart.

Jacob presented very much as a young Sylvester in this chapter, addressing all and sundry as honey. He is a very gregarious and generous young man, but I wonder if this hides someone who is a little unsure of himself, a little lonely perhaps. I imagine pickings are slim in Coningham, although he is not the only "gay in the village". I agree with @Gary L, Dawn once again delighted with her presence and wit. And Hortensia is a great name; I don't think it is one I have come across before, a variation of Hortense I assume, a name which I have come across before. Matt peeled back another layer of his protective shield in this chapter, with an overnight stay at, AND being collected from, Philpott Towers for his college field trip. He is revelling in not just the sex, but the closeness he and Gray have developed too.

It appears the possibility of any type of relationship, including friendship, between and Calvin and Jordan, fades with each chapter. Jordan's lukewarm reaction to Calvin's full-time employment barely registered with Calvin. Any upset he experienced was soon quelled by a night of lusty sex with Alan followed by morning glory, in which Calvin was pillaged and plundered by Alan's prodigious heat seeking missile.

Toni Braxton is one of those artists whom I could listen to if she sang the telephone book (if such books still existed). And even as a 100% gay male I recognise she is stunningly attractive, even moreso now she is older. And I love her "vengeful" songs like the one posted, He Wasn't Man Enough and virtually all the songs from her album with Babyface, Love Marriage and Divorce. I have not seen either of the movies featuring Anne Wilkes or Anton Chigurh, but was at least familiar with Misery and how unhinged she is. Kathy Bates is an impressive actress; I loved her performance in Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe.

I did not take offence @Seraph28; I knew you were only joking. I made my comment because I was surprised that cojones was not just a colloquialism.

She was an international star @weinerdog; she was more beautiful and far more intelligent than Crocodile Dundee. I vaguely recall my maternal grandmother, whom I adored, had the theme song from Skippy on a 45 record and we played it often as children. Long live Skippy. I just watched the clip again @weinerdog and burst into tears. It angers me so that some Australians view kangaroos as pests and murder them because of this, that their "leather" is used in sport shoes manufacturing and they are slaughtered for food. I so hate our species at times.

Tommy is a wuss. I had to check the spelling and in doing so I discovered it means courage too. I thought it was only a colloquialism for testicles. I used it in its "proper" form on this occasion.

JJ may be the "school fairy" but he has more cojones than Timmy Baker will ever have. His leaping across the creek with daring aplomb (I had a vision of him landing with a perfect 10 on the rocks ala Nadia Comaneci), before crashing against other rocks, falling into the water again and hauling himself out and lighting the fires, is what saved him and Dallas. I can't see that wimpy "hetero pansy" Timmy Baker undertaking such dangerous feats. JJ's mother, another supporter in the same vein as Danny's mother and Grayson's mother. And I suspect Dallas' mother may also know what caused the rift between JJ and Dallas given she is still on friendly terms with JJ's mother. If Dallas is contemplating something other than friendship with JJ, his mother may prove a valuable ally. The rescue was very moving @Mark Ponyboy Peters. Just for a moment I thought Skippy might emerge from the surrounding bushland with the helicopter tracking her to where JJ and Dallas were. Clearly she must have been on holidays otherwise she would have found JJ and Dallas much sooner, without the need for smoke signals from JJ.

After digesting Mama Kincaid's words of wisdom overnight: Nick to Noah Nick to Jack A profoundly moving chapter @LittleBuddhaTW, one in which I found myself outraged by Jack's abhorrent parents (yet again), mildly exasperated by Nick's excuses for Noah's behaviour (yet again), and overjoyed and mushy by Mr Bojangles undivided adoration of Nick (yet again). Jack's sperm donor and birthing vessel need to be paid a visit by the Menendez brothers. What a horrible pair of creatures they are. And as for their friends, those whom Jack identified as embarrassed by their treatment of him but unwilling to do anything, perhaps a visit from Carrie might "encourage" them to focus on doing the right thing.

I was very impressed with Novak's patience and acute powers of observation in this chapter. In saying very little, he essentially cajoled Ira's parents to dig a hole for themselves and climb in it. They very loudly demonstrated their prejudice towards their estranged daughter-in-law, the "little tramp" formerly known as Rachel Gill, and more disturbingly towards their grandson, Caleb. It appears they did sweet fa to maintain any contact with Caleb after his mother departed, and although they may not have been aware of the beatings he was receiving at the hands of his father, they must surely have had some concerns as to how Caleb would be treated by his father given what they knew of him. It was as if they judged Caleb for the "sins" of his parents, his father being their good-for-nothing son, and his mother being a gentile. And Novak's parting remark that he and Killian had learned much from Mr and Mrs Cohen seemed to alarm Mr Cohen greatly, which I found very amusing. And as for Rachel's colourful sister, the misandrist known as Nola Vesper, I enjoyed Novak's toying with her, he really got under her skin such that she unknowingly revealed something very valuable, confirming Rachel is alive. Now for the scolding @Josh Aterovis. You simply must not bring any more heartache into Adam's life. He has had more than enough; he was married to the bitch from hell, and his son was horrifically murdered. He simply cannot take any more, you must sort out his mental health issues and PRONTO. And that cliffhanger, now that was just plain cruel. I have no credible idea who it was Marco saw going into the barn after Caleb. I am almost certain it was neither Arsehair nor Kane, which leaves me with only three other possibilities given Marco said he "went to our school". Jake or Cole, neither of whom are local anymore, or a teacher, none of whose names I can remember.

There have been so many of them in recent chapters @drsawzall that @Josh Aterovis must have just about drained Chesapeake Bay of them by now.

She is on her way, supposedly, @wintreargo77. I think Killian is very upset over the discord which has reared its head between Adam and Steve. Both are usually so even tempered and articulate their emotions well, but Adam has seemingly lost the plot and no one appears to know why, except for Adam himself, perhaps. As for Arsehair, I suspect Killian misses his friendship, but Arsehair has become such an unpredictable whiny bitch that he is just too much work.

Perhaps you were viewing Grecian busts online to purchase for the "ballroom" in your summer home at Martha's Vineyard @drsawzall; the ballroom, a shrine to your fellow Massachusite, the late great Donna Summer, where you are going to entertain your guests with non-stop disco from the 1970's/1980's, rejoicing in the memory of your high school work experience as a go-go dancer at Studio 54.

Joel is potentially another obnoxious homophobe, perhaps more akin to a Jeff Inness than a Melton Dixon or Gavin Richter. If George is same-sex attracted he may have to be on guard around Joel. Although Marie-Louise is not exactly likeable, she is relatively harmless compared to the likes of Sandy Hairston, in fact, there are no characters in this story to date who have proven absolutely loathsome @Lee Wilson. Is this truly a @Lee Wilson story or has someone stolen your nom de plume?

If they do get together I think Dallas will have to receive the "seal of approval" from Merry and possibly from Pete too @Paladin. I don't think Merry will hesitate to make her feelings known on this issue if they are negative, and Dallas well may have to wear protective clothing e.g. a cup, if she is particularly unimpressed.

Given how much "grief" Dallas may receive for just resuming his friendship with JJ, I think it is unlikely he would embark on a relationship with him unless it was genuine, although I guess he could mistake gratitude for something more akin to love. I sense Dallas is very self-aware though @Paladin, I don't think he will do anything rash, any action taken towards something more than friendship will be planned with precision. Then again, I could be the worst judge of character; Dallas may decide life is too short and announce to the whole school, students, brothers, nuns (if there are any) and other staff alike, that he is crazy about JJ after dipping him low and laying the biggest, loudest and sloppiest kiss on him ever seen at their school.

I read and commented on this chapter in the early hours of Wednesday morning using my new iPhone 16Plus. Remarkably there was very little swearing involved (that occurred later in the day at around 12 noon), but I had forgotten until now to further research a reference to a "character" in this chapter. I had never heard of Bear Grylls, I assumed he or she may have been a character in a TV show. I have just learned he is a real person, an adventurer, writer, television presenter and former SAS trooper who is also a survival expert. After reading this I can understand how JJ had acquired some survival skills which have been put to great use, particularly with Dallas. Its only difference to the one Dallas has been wearing is that JJ's is more obvious with the physical alterations he has made to his body. A confirmation for sure @weinerdog, but I don't think it will bother Dallas. After reading this chapter again, I believe he all but confirmed he is not what others, including JJ, believe him to be. His reference to his being more like JJ than JJ realises, is I believe an acknowledgment he is gay or at least thinks he may be.

Rory the twink has a penchant for bears, or at least this one particular bear. He has a liking for body hair, particularly hairy arses it seems, something he shares with Gavin. I will be interested to read @drsawzall's comment on this particular proclivity. I had a chuckle regarding Rory's concern "Getting to know Matthew’s father and uncle had made worse Rory’s need to keep his liking for guys secret". If only the poor lad knew; he and Slavormir could go on a double date with Gavin and Jason, and Jason and Slavomir could compare to determine who is the hairiest of the two. "On the car journey home, Rory had never been so glad of his Mother’s self-absorbed nature. He was treated to a disquisition on the craziness of the other members of the committee she had been attending, and she apparently did not notice her son’s more than usually distracted manner. Rory also prayed that she didn’t detect what he felt must the smell of dried semen on him." Medea MacDonald is a sorry excuse for a mother. Perhaps Rory is adopted and Medea has never smelt semen in her life. A rather humorous chapter @Robert Hugill, the shyness and naïveté of both Rory and Slavomir adding a touch of "cuteness" to their initial encounter.

I couldn't stand her at first @Ticklishboy30 as she was an overbearing, obnoxious, Momzilla. I have not come to ADORE her like you have, but have grown to like her and recognise her Momzilla behaviour was well intentioned. I think she has toned down her behaviour too, and dare I say, @Paladin has written her, as well as the majority of the other characters from Part 1, with believable character growth in Part 2. The slice was made from vegan chocolate (95% dark), black chia seeds, organic oats and a mixture of blackberries, blueberries and raspberries. An explosion of rich colours and flavours, antioxidants and sheer deliciousness, without the harming of any animal. Apart from the vegan chocolate, all the other ingredients were sourced from Pal Addin Market Gardens, Ourimbah, a 100% organic market garden complex owned by a well known local author, Percival Paladin, where all workers receive fair and equitable pay and conditions, as well as the occasional tickle from Percival, and as a Christmas bonus, a "kiss" from one of his many rescue cats.

I know it is unacceptable for a guy to hit a girl regardless of their respective ages, but there is nothing to say Blair can't take that bitch down, if not with her fists and/or fingernails, then with her brain. Maybe Blair the scientist can mix up a potion in class one day which has a beautiful scent, a potion which Jessica attempts to snatch off Blair, only to have it explode in her face causing immediate damage, which no amount of plastic surgery can repair, and excruciating pain. Given how shallow she is the only way to hurt her is to ruin her looks or reduce her financial circumstances. I hope you have something catastrophic planned for her @irivera, something far worse than what happened to Victor. Warren appears to be what Calvin desires, someone who wants to get to know him as a person and build a friendship, before contemplating sex. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 I recall those Sunday hangovers @irivera from my younger years and they were brutal. You have my sympathy.

Dallas’ leg and ankle swelling and pain is a worry. I hope there is no open wound on either in which an infection could set in, as it could be days before they are found. I think @Paladin is right in that smoke from their fire is the best chance they have of being found and rescued. Dallas appears to be hinting he is at least bi-curious if not gay with the comments he has made to JJ. If they spend some time alone before being rescued Dallas may even disclose his true feelings. A revealing chapter @Mark Ponyboy Peters, a turning point perhaps in the renewed friendship between Jj and Dallas.
