@Tris I understand she was more successful with albums rather than singles, apart from Cry Me A River, her signature tune. I only "discovered" her when I was in my 30's when I heard Cry Me A River for the first time and was mesmerised by its simplicity and her husky voice. I then bought a greatest hits album and now have about 20 of her albums on CD, mostly 2 albums per CD. She was an actress too, although I don't recall ever seeing her anything.

I suspect its a derivation from posing trunks which is a term which has been used in bodybuilding for many years @Tris.

I do like Morrie @Robert Hugill. I had an image of him as a taller version of Simon Callow as he portrayed Gareth in Four Weddings And A Funeral and I have absolutely no idea why. He may prove to be a good friend, a gentle motivating force akin to Hughie, Keith's friend in They May Not Mean To But They Do. Whatever his "role" or "purpose" in this story I feel he is going to be another of your delightful, quirky, larger-than-life minor characters. "Therese had wanted the girls to have good sensible names, Jane, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Anne had been the possibles, whereas Ralph had wanted something a bit more adventurous". Bloody hell, all she needed was Emily and you had the Bronte sisters. Perhaps they could have named them Jane and Bronte (I have seen Bronte as a given name for a female on a number of occasions). And if Ralph had really wanted something adventurous, one of the twins could have been named Branwell, the second given name of the Bronte sisters' brother, Patrick, whom I have read was perhaps even more creative than his sisters, but apparently had addiction problems, long before it was fashionable to do so, one might even say compulsory to have if one wants to be admired as an artistic genius. I see a job opportunity arising for the boys from Ares Security @Robert Hugill, with Brian and Gordon being the "regular blokes" modelling swimwear and posing pouches for Iverson's. This may bring Ralph into contact with Gordon again. Ralph has hinted at some long-held guilt for how poorly he treated Gordon, and meeting again could help him resolve this. Dare I say, resolving his guilt may even be necessary for him to "break free" and be the otter, bear, cub, sub, dom or average garden-variety gay man he should be. A great feel-good chapter @Robert Hugill. Your "winning streak" does not look like ending any time soon if this story continues with its current level of enjoyment and entertainment.

Or did you mean his character's name reminded you of the character Angela Channing from Falcon Crest (portrayed by Jane Wyman), another super-bitch in the same vein as Alexis Morel Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan from Dynasty (portrayed by Joan Collins), both shows from the 1980's, which you would have watched as a young "intern" @drsawzall?

It appears Anthony lied to Todd when he told him Barrett expressed his disgust at Todd being gay and that he had a crush on him. Given how vulnerable Todd was at the time this lie was the conduct of an arsehole. Barrett's revelation that no such conversation took place does not surprise me as I don't trust Anthony. He is too easily influenced by his and Todd's father. I am not convinced he will accept Barrett as bisexual either if and when he discloses this to Anthony. Channing's apology appeared sincere, but I still don't fully trust him. The conversation below between Todd and Dillon suggests Dillon was about to reveal something to Todd about Channing, something which may or may not have been flattering, or could have been offered as an "excuse" for Channing's behaviour. “I don’t want to talk with him right now,” I said, the bliss quickly changing to blistering anger. “Todd…” “What he did was totally out of line.” “You’re right. He totally was, but… Never mind. I’ll let you handle it the way you see fit.” Dillon rubbed his eyes." No real drama in this chapter @Cane23, with some revelations which may surprise some. I was surprised Todd believes Anthony fully accepts him being gay. I think he is delusional; I think it will likely emerge that for Anthony the truth is fluid, the truth is whatever is likely to be of most benefit to him at the time, particularly if it jeopardises remaining in Daddy's good books. The story title intrigues me @Superpride. Is Anthony perhaps the subject of the title? It will not surprise me if he is.

Somehow I just cannot picture Joan Collins as a "young man" @drsawzall. I can certainly picture her with a young man; her 5th and current husband, Percy, is 32 years her junior. Were you perhaps "smoking" some of the "burlap sack" when you had this vision of Joan as a young man?

I am well acquainted with it myself @Paladin living with two felines who have the "pottiest" mouths; you could not possibly imagine that I am forever having to "block" their internet usage as they would spend all their waking hours watching kitty porn if I let them. I am curious @Paladin about Ollie's use of the Italian word for grandmother, Nona, when he addressed his grandmother (although usually spelt as Nonna, I have seen it spelt as Nona too). Debbie Cameron sounds about as Italian as Cheryl Johnston, so was/is her husband (assuming she has or has had one or more) of Italian descent?

Although written for comic effect, you could well be onto something with this comment @Cane23. If she is unlike her two daughters whom we have met, Crackhouse Chrissie and Rollover Ruby, she may well be caring for another grandchild and finding it difficult to do so. I have just re-read the reference to Toby and we don't know his relationship to Debbie, but seemingly she has some degree of responsibility for him.

I was thinking of something far smuttier than that @Paladin (primarily to please @Cane23), along the lines of Debbie Does Dallas, a well known straight porn film from 1978 (I seem to recall it was a hot topic of conversation when I was in year 10 in high school). It had to be alliteration and Doyalson was the only place I knew of on the Central Coast which starts with the letter D.

Aunty Ruby was certainly no gem, more like a cheap tarnished trinket from the discount table at a reject shop. Given her comments about Crackhouse Chrissie's "wonderful boyfriend Jeff", I assume her comment "you are not welcome here" was directed primarily at Ollie. Is she seriously blaming her nephew for what happened to Jeff and his mother's death. What a spiteful nasty bitch. If she makes another appearance in this story @Paladin I hope it is as roadkill. Ollie's grandmother appeared "pleasant" at the funeral, but that may have been a facade, the actions of a manipulative schemer. Her statement, or is it a threat, is ominous. The cynic in me (who more often than not proves to be "on the money") thinks she smells money and may attempt to blackmail Chris and Andre, threatening to expose them as child molesters. In the "Court" of the general public, the "poor grieving mother" bereft over the loss of her daughter, who now has to endure separation from her beloved grandson, could win a lot of sympathy. Fuck, I think I am channelling @Lee Wilson, although he would write it far more convincingly than I. I believe there is a reason why Aunty Margaret has made a sudden return to Australia and it isn't only because of her husband's death. Margaret is a shrewd and wealthy woman who was obviously very fond of her nephew and great-nephew. Methinks she may not rest until the truth is revealed about Dan's murder. Margaret may be as suspicious as to the truth behind his murder as I have always been. And as for Debbie and her trashy offspring, Margaret will crush them "with one look". I suspect she will have a lot of "dirt" on them from Dan and will not hesitate to use it wisely, but hopefully ruthlessly, if any one of those trollops does anything to endanger her great-nephew's future. Remember her promise to Ollie “I understand that Oliver, and I’ll do what I can to ensure you stay with them.” Hey Debbie, don't mess with Margaret, bitch, or you may be back doing Debbie Does Doyalson.

What should have been a pleasant night out turned into anything but all because of Channing's ego. I am dubious that he had a friend who was murdered by a frat president because he flirted with him, and I don't believe Todd called him when he was drunk. I think Channing was intent on causing trouble from the moment Barrett arrived at Bottoms Up and would have continued to do so even after Todd's asthma attack had Dillon not admonished him. I have to wonder if Channing is attracted to Todd and realises the attraction is not mutual. Maybe Barrett needs to attend another karaoke night and take a leaf out of Todd's book, select an appropriate song by ABBA to deliver his message to Todd. Perhaps this one would be apropos. Another entertaining chapter @Superpride. Channing showed an ugly side, one which both Todd and Dillon found unattractive. Might he now be on "the outer"?
