Hehe... and perhaps Chekhov wasn't thinking about this extended format. Also, props to you putting in an interesting but ace character into a significant role. I see people having been saying this for years, but the diverse cast is outstanding.

Harley antics are the best antics
-
The playwright Anton Chekhov said (there's a couple of variations of this): " If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off. If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there. It's wrong to make promises you're not going to keep. " If there's a sweet innocent boy with a big cock in book 1 ...

Yes. Yes you do.

Aha, some Harley reveal! Nice stuff.
-
I'm enjoying the very slow reveal on Harley. I was thinking in one of the school scenes a while back that Autumn might be stepping on something making that big fuss about Owen in front of Harley. Or not. He's never said anything much on camera and maybe he's just a gregarious friend, but he does seem to like CJ and having lots of gay friends. And very teenagery that he's chattering about one thing, so other stuff never comes up, and no one ever thinks about it. Ugh, it would have been killing me in real time to realize it might be YEARS before you developed that, but I'm gonna get there this week! hehehehe.

Awesome, I just found the series a couple of days ago and I'm enjoying getting to binge through!

I am, loving the occasional rugby content ! I've never lived in the Washington area, but I've been on rugby tours to Washington to play in that big Cherry blossom tournament, and at the end of my career found myself in a league the Washington Renegades were doing well in. (last played them around the time you wrote this, I guess)
-
I know you wrote this a while ago, but wasn't there supposed to be a rugby game in there somewhere? 😉

"Trace and Sam....sighhhh....if only this could be like one of those online erotic stories where I end up having a threesome with BOTH of them! How hot would THAT be? Hehehehe! We could invite Lee and Bobby Jinette and make it an orgy! " Yes, Billy, you should do that. That would be good.

That reminds me of a quotation, that has helped me and a work colleague through rough patches. "If you are going through hell... keep going! " Ca va bien y aller.
-
To be clear, I think it was beautifully tuned. I figure you were going for a "just-a-crack-of-light-after-a-long-dark-night" at the end, which I think was the right note.
-
Wow. The second-person voice is searing. The epilogue is just a wan light but it feels like a corner turned.
-
Cool, thank you. I'm enjoying it and I'll catch up. I actually started with one of the Chandler episodes, so I'm coming in at a weird angle. My first Billy Chase click was on episode 325 or something and there were too many characters with complicated stuff goin on and I couldn't get a handle but I think I'm in now. And Brand-X is a very fine and very skatery nickname, good one.

Hey Mr M! I just got here, and I'm way behind on my Billy Chase lore, but I like tabbing back and forth between viewpoints and these are a lot of fun! What episodes are these indexed to in Billyworld?

As a newbie here who joined a week ago, the first few points and badges were fun and encouraging when I didn't know anybody. I knew it was automated but it was still kinda nice. Thanks for the work done to set it up.

Ha, thanks for the reply. I might have overwritten that a bit, but I wanted you to get the point that I liked it. 😉- 3 replies

Yeah, this seems to say "I've mortgaged the London property" (Although Dodger seems to be telling us the trust assets are safe, Don bringing over Tom right as the adoption was going through and overlapping the start of the school year sure feels like a way to make sure Robbie's too busy to get counsel)
-
Ep 1 says of Don "Like her, he was born in England and had immigrated to Canada in the late eighties in search of a better life." In Ep 2 Robbie comments "His English accent had been eroded into a kind of Anglo-Canadian dialect" . Robbie says she came to Canada 22 years before, or seven years before he was born, so maybe '93? In Ep 18 Robbie tells Fran that Liz swam, (presumably for GB), in the LA Olympics (and presumably also at either Moscow '80 or Seoul '88.) So she spent about 11 years in Canada if she went back to London when Robbie was 4. I don't think it's nailed down if Liz and Don grew up in London or if Liz just lived there post 2004. (Yikes, the 7/7 bombings would have been right after they moved back!, but Robbie wouldn't remember them) It could be a little continuity gap, or another "Don's a selfish jerk" issue that his sister was an Olympic swimmer, and he never does a damn thing about asking Robbie if he wants to be hooked up with a swim club, although I think they presume he won't drown in the backyard pool. I don't recall Don showing any interest in the WC soccer games or any other sport.

Com, thank you for continuing to update the timeless classics of New Kid in Class and Kiss of an Angel. I’ve been following the series' for quite some time now; I think from around the time of the “pineapple juice” episodes. A few recent zoom weddings and funerals at which I waved to old friends but couldn’t hug them kicked off heavy bout of unrequited nostalgia for me. ( I am also working through that with the local remnants of our old friend network.) But I had a lovely night queuing up and tabbing between New Kid and Kiss of an Angel from the beginning (and finding Arcade Junkies and Ryan’s Heart for the first time). It was a really fun soak in the lives and stories of your characters. It scratched the itch to listen to old friends tell stories we all know yet one more time, and it somehow gets better every retelling. I’m also glad you continue to update these and have them bubble back to the top part of the “new posts" lists as the anniversaries pile up. I hope new readers are continuing to find these. Because right in with the hilarious comedy and the hot sex scenes are your achingly beautiful and need-to-know moral lessons about trust and honesty and coming out and how-threesomes-are-hot-but-can-jam-up-a-relationship. Follow your heart, dream with your eyes open, and yes, beware that jerks might be trying to mess with you. Ryan’s heart really is the rock at the centre of it all, with all the loves and loyalties, and secrets and anxieties and mistakes and accidents revolving around it. And these stories show us how diverse people can be through Randy’s anxieties, Tyler’s broken (but perhaps mending) heart, Ariel’s minefield of tightly coiled springs of emotional energy, and Cody’s acute analysis, acidic patter and broken-glass-sharp emotional defenses. So, hugs and kisses and Bravo’s and roses for you.🌹🌹🌹 👏👏👏 👨❤️💋👨 I do really mean the ordinary definition of “timeless classic” above: but also timeless as the boys have gone from landline phone drama and skipping CD players and heavy VCRs to sexts and texts on the beach. “There aren't too many arcades left in the world nowadays, you know?" The utterly epic Spring Break lasted for 13 years. And Cody Morneau still feels like a “new” character, although he's been around for about 20 years now. I understand you have a life and many other fruitful and cool writing projects, and you’ve given us so much for so long that you don’t owe me or anybody anything more. But here’s a plea for some back-to-school episodes this September where we find out what school's like for the now out-ish boys and what Hailley’s gonna do next, and whether Tyler banging him until he was too weak to move will settle down Ariel’s kinetic discharges, and whether Tyler can reconcile his troubled past with his exciting present (and how Ariel's gonna handle that! (Or for a challenge, a story in Cody's voice?) Either way, thanks for the stories. 🍍
