    Chapter 12 – A Joint Christmas When I woke up on Christmas Eve morning, my mom offered to fix breakfast for me, even though she and my dad had already eaten. It was comical watching her flutter around the kitchen as she prepared my meal while also getting things ready for the rest of the day.     I found the link pretty darn interesting, but it didn't address one thing I"ve always wondered. Since I never read the novel, I always wondered if Stoker's Dracular was able to turn into a bat, or if that was a Hollywood creation. Do any of you know which is the case for certain, based on the novel?

    Not skin milk, in most cases. It might even be good for a day or two past the expiration date, at least in my experience.

    Thank you for the kind words, Gary, and thanks for reading my poem. I hope we all enjoy lengthy and enjoyable winters. I don't how old you r children are, but if they're young enjoy those precious moments with them, and if they're older I hope they remember the lessons you taught them along the way. I'm glad it gave you pause to reflect up your own life.

    I'm not worried about winter, but I've been to Wisconsin, but in June and didn't see any snow. And thank you for the wonderful comments about my entry to the Poetry Anthology. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

    Wonderfully descriptive looks at each of the four seasons. You'll find something you can relate too as you read through each season, including a feathery friend to help liven up each of the seasons.

    Yes, and although it was written by an old man looking backward, it will also give younger readers a chance to look both backwards and forwards. We humans are all mortal. Thank you for reading and commenting on my humble poem.

    Chapter 1 Wisdom

    Bill W commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 Wisdom

    The Haikus gave snippets of the various seasons and I can relate to the descriptions in many of them. At first I though Haiku 5 was referring to a loved one that you’d lost, and then I read Haiku 6. That referred to the death of a horse, and suddenly I wondered if they were related. My only question is, where did you see the elves in Haiku 9? Secret has me torn. I’m not sure if you meant living to help others, or merely living to please them, but the love of one’s self was very clear. Wisdom tells me that you can see what others need before they do and that he unerringly makes the correct choices for them. The problem is, that gift does not pertain to making choices for himself. Thank you for sharing, Gary.

    A short, but touching tale about a child that was welcomed into this world. The author uses the seasons to describe the journey. A very touching read.
