In other words, a baby opera. 🤡

I don't have a video to post with this, but tonight I was watching American Idol and I was impressed with one of the performers who sang a song he had written. He wrote the song dedicated to his mom shortly after she'd passed away to help him with the grieving process, and I was touched by it. It was called, "How to Live Without You." I think we've all lost loved ones, and this song brought back memories of how I felt after I lost my mom and my grandmother, who helped to raise me. I found this later on YouTube and here's the link:

If that happened it would be the second eclipse of the week!

@Valkyrie and @Krista I'm rooting for you, but don't tell anyone. I wouldn't want it to get back to Steve.

A great start. I can't wait to see more. -
Yes, as long as Gramps and Pops still own the house in Fort Collins he could make arrangements to continue playing Santa at the hospital every year, but Santa without toys doesn't have the same appeal. Therefore, either he would have to find a way to get donations, or possibly the college could continue making donations that he could arrange to pick up, possibly transitioning into either Devin or Mac so the college didn't worry it might be part of some sort of scam. That, however, would lead to questions about why Mac didn't go to the hospital as one of the elves again. They might be able to work something out, however. Yes, Toys-For-Tots has changed over the years, although their mission has always stayed the same. Thank you for sharing that information with us. I think we all agree that Devin will have to come up with a range or personalities when he plays Superhero. Maybe something will happen that will reinforce that notion, other than Gramps, Pops, or Mac advising him that he'll have to do something along those lines. .
-
I think Gramps would, if someone there would take up the task of collecting gifts and money for this endeavor after Devin and Michael graduate.
-
Yes, I'm sure someone will mention to Devin that he needs to select another form when he transitions to help others and have enough muscle to do it. Otherwise, it might become a serious problem. Yes, Gramps really enjoys playing Santa, for multiple reasons. First, even if he did it when his son was younger, he could have only done it at home and that would have been many years ago. He may have also done it when Devin was younger, but only for a few years, and this way he gets to do it for a few more years while the boys are in college. Then, he'll have to wait until the boys have young children before he can do it again. I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter.

First of all, I think you misunderstood what Devin might do while he was at the cabin. First of all, that's where he was being trained and his training didn't go as quickly as Mac's. First all all, he had great difficulty learning to transition into some animals, like the porcupine and beaver, since he couldn't get certain features correct. Second, even since his training ended he could transition into a dog, wolf, bear, or mountain lion and run around out there, sometimes with one of the male relatives or possibly alone, so he was used to getting his exercise that way. And it's not so much that he needs the exercise, but more that he enjoys going for runs as an animal, more than doing it as a person. The idea about changing that way, such as being a mouse in Mac's pocket, but then he'd have to transit ion into himself and get dressed when they stopped at the diner. But what would happen if they were involved in an accident and had to deal with other drivers. Maybe Mac was knocked unconscious and Devin wouldn't have had time to transition and get dressed before others came to check on Mac. And if Mac had to be taken to a hospital, I doubt they would have taken a mouse with him. Sure, Devin could have jumped out of Mac's pocket and hidden under the seat, but then the SUV might have been hauled to a lot and Devin couldn't suddenly appear later, because I'm sure someone would have checked for other passengers, so how would he explain his presence or get food and water if the SUV was taken to a fenced in impound lot with multiple cameras and a guard for security? Let's put it this way, there would have been potential difficulties either way.
-
Yes, not having any photos or videos would have been st range, but I'm sure Mac would have found a way to explain that to his parents. Maybe that there was too much to do and they were too tired during the early portion of the trip to worry about photos, and then they looked like crap during the latter portion of the trip and didn't want anyone to see them looking that way. No, Mac hasn'ttried any birds , amphibians, or reptiles yet, but those are things Devin will work with him later to learn. Be patient, my son. Reptiles are not something the Navajo would have taught him, anyway, because they believe that all reptiles, especially snakes, are evil and would never transition into one, but I'm not sure they'll be trying any buffaloes. First of all, Navajo are one of the plains tribes that would have had a tradition of hunting the buffalo and they wouldn't have been an animal they would have raised either, so although it might have been funny, it would have been highly unlikely. Thank you for the feedback and great comments, though, IBEX.

Yes, it was good that no child from the previous year still seemed to still be there, and hopefully the fact the children believe they had just been visited by the real Santa will give them hope that they can beat whatever illness they are fighting. Gramps had discussed with Devin about transforming so often that it might make others curious about the connection, but since Gramps is playing Santa now and the boys can be recognized as elves it isn't a problem/. However, it's the other times they've transitioned while living in Fort Collins that might allows others to make the connection, and they're still going to be there for another year and a half. That's an interesting idea about The Unexplained and I might have to pursue that idea later. Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, we're all hoping they act in ways that no one else sees them transitioning.
-
Yes, as I told others, he has to be much more careful from now on or his secret will be exposed. Children and Santa always seem to turn into a positive experience, especially when they're given a present as well. It's even better when the children realize Santa isn't a man wearing a suit, stuffed with pillows, and wearing a wig and fake beard. There's a much better reaction when they believe he's the real thing.

Yes, as we grow up we often lose sight of the obvious and focus on other things. Sometimes looking through the eyes of a child can be enlight4ening.

Yes, although Devin is being careful and trying to hide what he's doing he still has to be careful. Like you say, someone with a camera can out him.

Yes, Devin might be recognized for his good deeds, but I'm not sure that is something that would register with the casual observer, and there is nother directly tying his to any of the figures he's transitioned into so far, but I agree he'll have to be more careful in the future.

Chapter 10 – St. Nick Visits the Hospital Now that classes had resumed after the Thanksgiving break, Devin and I turned our attention to the two most important issues: our class work and the Second Annual Toy Drive. In regards to the latter, after classes ended for the day, we went over to the Campus Newspaper office to speak with the staff and thank them for the article they’d run about the upcoming toy drive. “I’m Anna Franklin and I wrote that article for you,” she stated. “I th

Looking at the top half of the bottom image in the daytime, it appears as if the stomach portion is made up of a grilled cheese sandwich and there is a hot dog, lunchmeat (or a taco), French fries, and celery waiting to enter the stomach, but even though I know what the articles are, it's still very weird, although it might be the statement "you are what you eat." ????

Since Gramps brought it up, I'd say there was a fairly good chance that will happen.
-
Yes, it very well could be, since Gramps had brought up the fact that they may go looking for treasure this summer. I hope y'all can wait to see what that is.
-
Oh, yes, she's had a great deal of difficulty letting go of Mickey/Mac, and his dad has been trying to get her to realize he's an adult now. It hasn't worked, but she's made a little progress.
-
Yes, Devin's mom is having difficulty cutting the cord, and some of that might have something to do with the fact that besides being with him all the time when he was little, they were also together all of the time when they moved to the cabin, since he was being home schooled for a while. And yes, the boys are somewhat self-sufficient when it comes to fixing meals. Not really a surprise about their summer plans. It was mentioned in Chapter 1, but the details will come in future chapters.

They alluded to their summer plans back in chapter 1, but they will talk about that in more detail in upcoming chapters.
