  1. When we returned home after church and brunch on Sunday, Danny and Brandon pulled Xander aside so they could speak with him. “Did I do somethin’ wrong? Am I in trouble?” he immediately asked, visibly worried. They could tell because his body began to tense up and he appeared to have temporarily stopped breathing. “No, not at all,” Brandon assured him. “In fact, it’s quite the opposite.” Xander’s taut muscles suddenly began to relax and he resumed breathing normally again. “We
  2. There was a long time between when his wife died and he took in the boys, so much of his income went unused since his home was already paid for. He's just been dipping into that for now.
  3. That's a definite possibility and something I hadn't thought of. Thanks for the feedback.
  4. You're welcome, flesco. Halloween seems to inspire the creepiness in me, which I put in my Halloween stories. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  5. Thanks, Jim. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  6. Thanks for the feedback, Tony, and I'm glad you believe that I've successfully expanded the story intergenerationally. It was a challenge. I'm staying safe and I hope you are doing so as well.
  7. Thanks, Danilo. Trey is proving he is human and things like this get under his skin. This situation will take a long time to play out. Yes, the adoptions are being planned, so that will be happening soon.
  8. I'm certain that was the base instinct of most people, but things like that have to go to the Board of Education first, before they can be enacted. It may happen yet.
  9. After a typical Currie weekend at home, the school week got off to a fast, and somewhat furious, start. On Monday, the principal called another assembly, but this time during 2nd period. Once everyone had showed up and was seated, he stepped up to the lectern and began to speak. “I just wanted to inform you about what has happened since the last time we gathered here. Many of the students involved in the incident I mentioned previously have come forward and admitted to what they did. Beside
  10. Little Ricky, or Richard as he prefers to be called now that he's a working for Aunt Sally, will be appearing from time to time. You'll also be hearing more about the farms as well, since they'll be brought up in Book 4. I hope that answers your questions.
  11. Yes, I'm sure that is a common feeling, but you'll have to keep reading to see if it's justified.
  12. Yes, I'm sure you're correct about that.
  13. Thanks, Danilo. I'm glad you found this story spooky.
  14. I'm glad you enjoyed this story, but I'm a little surprised that you didn't find century old spirits of Native Americans attacking the subdivision as being spooky.
  15. Thanks, Jim. You'll be hearing more about Tamara in future chapters.
  16. Thanks, Danilo, and the Tamara case will be around for a while. I'm not sure the dogs are trained well enough to be part of the Halloween Haunted House. The might lick the others to death, not scare them.
  17. We'll hear much more about the Tamara situation and it was good that more of the family got to meet TJ. It's hard to believe that Joshie is this old now, since we were all around when he was born, and now he's a high school freshman. Thanks for the feedback.
  18. Since we didn’t learn anything new about the Tamara situation on Friday, we now turned our attention to Joshie’s birthday party. It would only include the family because he chose not to have one with his friends. He was turning 15 this year and would be one of the youngest in the freshman class, since many were already 15, like Benny. He, on the other hand, would turn 16 in April, but this was due to the way he was treated by his mom and caused him to miss so much school before he came to live w
  19. A very interesting comment.
  20. Danilo, I don't know how I missed this comment before, but it's nice to have you with us.
  21. Will, thank you for the feedback and I hope you enjoy reading this series. Remember, I'm not a professional author and do this merely in support of the LGBTQ community, while also hoping it may help younger members to get past whatever problems they're encountering. I look forward to hearing from you again.
  22. Thanks, Tony. I'm glad you enjoy it.
  23. My family has always lived in California, but my parents just moved us into a huge Victorian home that was built in the late 1800s. It was originally built by a doctor for a dual purpose: it would be a home for his family and would also serve as a private hospital for his patients. Over the years it has been completely renovated and modernized, so it isn’t as if we’re moving into a rundown house with the wallpaper and paint peeling off the walls. The kitchen isn’t old fashioned and there aren’t
  24. The Morgan family moves into an old Victorian mansion that was not only the home of the original builder, Dr. Schneider, but he also used it as a private hospital. Mrs. Morgan is planning on turning the place into a Bed & Breakfast, but what happens on Halloween night may change her mind. (Halloween story)
  25. I decided it was time to address the trans issue, since it is so misunderstood, and I felt Joshie and Bennie would be the two best situated to lead us through the discussion. Yes, I'm not surprised that you expected Dion and Trey to be part of the GSA, but they've stayed out of it for two reasons. First, the wanted the boys to take leadership and make their own stand on whatever issues that came up. The other was that they had to pick up the other boys and take them home after school, which would interfere with the meetings. I hope that explains things for you. Yes, it is good to see that TJ is settling in at the house and his dads are getting back into the swing of deal with a baby and the nightly feedings.
