    A Trial Weekend

Thanks, flesco, and this is destined to be an interesting time. I'm sure the twins will be fine, as well as Holly, but there will be the specter of their mother's impending death hanging over them at the same time. Thank you for the excellent feedback.

Obviously not much, but that's ok. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  6. On Wednesday night, about an hour after we’d finished dinner, I got a call on my cell phone. The number looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn’t immediately place to whom it belonged. I answered it anyway. “Hello.” “Dr. Currie, its Holly Reynolds.” “Oh hi, Holly. I’ll have to add this number to my contact list.” “You can, but it doesn’t make sense, because it won’t be ours in another month. My mother won’t be living here and my brothers and I will be with you by then, so none of u

  8. I understand there are other places like Gravity Hill, because my son told me about one in California. As far as your other request, keep reading and it may happen yet.
  9. Thanks, flesco, and this is indeed a fantasy world. If only reality could mimic a positive fantasy. Until it does, stories like this will have to suffice in giving others hope and a mental and emotional escape for short periods of time. Maybe some day the real world will get better.

    A Trial Run

Thanks for the excellent feedback, flesco, and this will certainly change the dynamics of the family. The new kids are embracing their new family because they are aware of their mother's situation, and the Curries are willing to accommodate their needs. Not only will they have to limit the nudity now that there will be a female living at the house, but it may lead to other interesting developments as well. Only time will tell.

  12. Stix, I know I replied to this comment but I don't see it here now. Yes, Danny and Brandon needed a change to get away, relax, and spend some quality time together, so it worked out that the family game them that opportunity. The Cirque de Soleil and unique and interesting, and I recommend that anyone having a chance to see one of their shows to do so.
  13. Thnaks, daveymars, and I'm glad you are enjoying this series. When I first started to write this story, it was aimed at a few boys I'd been in contact with who had it rough and either endured or were enduring an unhappy home life, so I attempted to give them a fictional retreat where they could escape and feel safe for a little while. It's why I've attempted to keep this story as positive as possible and I'm thrilled you appreciate that aspect.
  14. For you or in the story?
  15. When we got back to the house, I decided to chat with the other adults. Seeing they were sitting around the dining room table, I poured myself a cup of coffee and sat down to join them. “What’s up?” I asked, since they suddenly went quiet. “We’ve just been sharing our observations about today’s visit,” Brandon explained. “Anything I should be concerned about?” “No, we were just talking about it in general. We thought it went fine and those three should fit in very well,” Dad

  19. During the following week, Brandon and I discussed how it might have affected the birthday party if Julie’s three kids were living with us already. After multiple conversations, we finally concluded that it would have allowed us to split the kids into even teams without recruiting Becky. However, it would have made it more difficult for them to compete against the adults, since there would have been a greater number of children, but maybe we could have done it against half of them at a time. 20. I don't know how I missed responding to James, but I just did.
  21. He will pop up from time to time, but just like in real life, sometimes we lose contact with old friends. Sorry about the delay in the reply, but for some reason I never saw a notification on this comment.
  22. You're going backward, because you've been commenting on Next Generation 3. lol

  24. Xander, I appreciate your interest in this story, but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep it going. This is the twelfth book already, and I might be nearing the point where hardly anyone is reading it. The number of people following the story gets smaller with every book, and this is a lot of work if hardly anyone is reading it. I appreciate those of you who have stayed loyal, but everything eventually comes to an end. I think the title, The endless Story, has already been used. lol
  25. Thanks, Xander. No, Little Ricky (Richard) isn't goofing off, but he can only recommend kids he comes into contact with and feels would benefit by being at the Hotel. Obviously, no one fits that bill at present.
