She helped to define a generation and had many great hits. Besides Que Sera Sera, there was Sentimental Journey, When I Fall in Love, Secret Love, Everybody Loves a Lover and A Bushel and a Peck... just to mention a few. Happy Birthday, Doris, be it 90 or 92!

That's an interesting article. It's amazing how they can figure out after this fact using scientific studies, but who came up with the name Mummy Lake. I was expecting that once they discovered there was no reservoir, they excavated the lake and found bodies. Now, I'm disappointed. lol

If they start scouring the ocean floor, I'm certain they will find all sorts of things. However with sea levels rising, it will also be getting tougher to do this.

What a touching tribute. How soon the rest of us forget what the soldiers go through when fighting a battle. However, those that were there, especially the wounded, carry those memories with them forever and have to continually cope with the ramifications. I hope that this might inspire some to reach out to those still dealing with these lingering emotional after-effects. It is the reason we must never forget the lasting struggles a war can bring. Sometimes we need to fight, but we should never go to war unless it is totally justified.
