My opinion is that in 50 years we'll look back at the Westboro Baptist Church and those that were so fervently against gay rights in the same light as we look back at those who opposed the Civil Rights movement, such as George Wallace and Lester Maddox.

Tim, thanks for the feedback and I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a scientist, so I probably got the details wrong, but the story was about more than just scientific facts. I also think I stated you could have one recessive gene and be straight, but having two or three you would make the individual bi, meaning the person had a choice to some extent, although they still might have been leaning one way or the other. What I was attempting to show with this story was how the science could be abused and manipulated to reinforce a belief. Where it was at first hoped the findings would put an end to the debate over whether homosexuality was a choice, others were ready to use this new knowledge to identify or eliminate the segment of the population they disagreed with. It didn't matter to them whether the individual was born that way or had made a choice, they just saw it as a way to advance their own agenda. For me, that was the scary part of the story.

I had some problems learning Windows 8.1 after upgrading from XP on my desktop, but I've now upgraded to Windows 10 and have had no problems so far. To me, it handles a lot like 8.1, so I'm glad I made the switch. The only problem I had was the install took 2 hours, but that may have had more today with my ISP provider. They seem to like to slow my computer down, so they can make more from the business types.

As can be seen with the lingering mixed reactions to the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s, since some southerners are still hoping, and even attempting, to get that overturned, how can the LGBT community expect any better? You may be able to pass laws that would bring these southerners into the current century, yet many will still continue to kick, scream and try to find a way around it.

Thanks for the feedback, Terry. Yes, we've been away from Kieren and his protectors for awhile, but with multiple groups to keep track of it was bound to happen. However, it is necessary to set up what else is going on and then tie them all together, so we can see how various events affect each of these groups. You will see each incident from multiple perspectives and learn how each occurrence impacts the overall outcome. Yes, global warming is to some extent a natural occurrence and we know it is caused by a build-up of CO2 in the atmosphere. Even if it is a natural occurring event, the fact that humans are adding an increased amount of CO2 is just speeding up and aggravating an already tenable situation and making things worse. Why is that so hard to understand and accept? Are you willing to risk the future of the planet by playing ostrich and burying your head in the sand?

Let me just state a couple of things in response to Zombie. First, how long were explorers wandering through the jungles of South American and Africa, but yet throughout the 20th century aboriginal tribes were being discovered that had no previous exposure to civilization. How long have we been exploring the oceans, yet animal species of all types are still being discovered. Since the galaxy is so large and the universe infinite, are you telling me that you can't foresee how we might have missed discovering another intelligent species somewhere in the vast unknown?
