Hmm... I dont really care where I live as long as I dont spend more than say...6 years in a place. Ive gotten too used to moving around to really settle down much. Im mainly from India and am of Indian ethnicity, but have only lived here for about 4 years max. Ive lived in many different countries before. Was born in USA (Miami, Florida), but never really stayed there. Ive lived in Caracas, Venezuela; Madrid, Spain; Shanghai, China; Dublin, Ireland. Ive visited loads of other countries all over Europe as well. Currently doing University here in India, but plan on doing Masters course outside India (as much as I love India, I just cant stay in one place too long before wishing I could move xD)

Well old bob if your still interested in irc...you can download upp from the link I gave you (or do you want me to upload a client with everything set up already? I dont mind...I got one lying around the comp already XD). Anyways if you want to look for channels, choose a server to go into (though if you donwload upp it automatically chooses a default server, cant remember its name) and say /list . This brings up a window full of lists of channels within that server.

This introduction to IRC is not mine. A friend of mine wrote it for another forum, but its pretty concise so ill copy/paste it here: mIRC is a chatting software which can be used for file sharing. Sounds simple? Yes, but a lot of people are afraid of using mIRC and some say that it has mystical powers which it uses to bewitch your hard drive to rise against you, the user. But dont be fooled: mIRC is your friend... In this tutorial, first let's see the basic mechanism so that you can actually understand what's going on. Here we go... How it works The process is simple. 1) You connect to a SERVER using a NICKNAME. (Something like connecting to Yahoo with your Yahoo username.) 2) You join a CHANNEL. (Channels are equivalent to Chat rooms on Yahoo) 3) The users on a channel (chat room) are classified into: OPERATORS (Short: Ops), HALF-OPERATORS (Short: Half-Ops), VOICED USERS and REGULARS. (Some servers have extra classifications like Super Ops and the like... but dont worry about it for now). 4) After you're connected, you can TALK by typing out something and pressing your Enter key. 5) You can also DOWNLOAD from people who want to give you stuff. (Now that's what most of you are interested in) 6) The people who want to give you stuff can DCC SEND it to you. This means that they have to select which file you want and send it to you. Now, 93.4% of the world is comprised of lazy bums like you and me... (well, me atleast). So, these people set up a thing called FILE SERVER. These file servers are like an automatic answering machine which will send what files you want. You ACTIVATE a FILE SERVER using a TRIGGER. (Something like CALLING a TELEPHONE using a PHONE NUMBER). Once inside, you can use commands very similar to DOS, like dir and cd (taught later on in the tutorial), to find out what anime the person is serving. If you find something interesting, you type another command asking him to send the file. More on File Serves (Short: FSERVES) later on... 7) Some kind-hearted people set up things called XDCC SERVERS or XDCC BOTS. These bots are located on dedicated servers to send you stuff at very high speeds (depends on your connection though). You can download stuff from them too... We'll learn about them too. Cool After you download your stuff, and finish everything, it's time to close mIRC. (But of course, that's only if..... you want to...... muhahhahhaa) And here is the link to the IRC tutorial I made. I've always had specific channels to go to so never really had to search for channels, so dunno how to do that. I'll go find out how to do that and tell you tomorrow if you want

Yeah I remember when I first started to go online on IRC. I was totally confused and found it kinda scary at first...so many new things to learn and all lol. Instead of mIRC you could get UPP (Ultra Protection Project). Its a advanced script for mIRC. It contains countless useful features, including a file server with firewall support, fail queue support, multiple channel protections, theme support, and much much more. Btw what kind of contacts are you trying to get? Anything specific like channels for gay fiction and all? I am part of a few gay oriented channels (though almost all of those channels are for the fans of japanese yaoi manga). Yaoi is a publishing genre which originated in Japan and often encompasses manga, doujinshi, anime, and, fanart. It focuses on homosexual relationships between male characters and is generally sexually explicit. I have yet to go out and search for other kinds of gay oriented channels.

Hrithik...I dont know. From the time of his debut in 'Kaho no Pyar Hai' (which incidentally imo is one of the most horrificly awful movies of Bollywood of all times) I didnt like him. He looked ok in that movie where he joins the army (the one with Preity Zinda), and in Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham (is that how you spell it?), but he just doesnt know when to cover his muscles up. Hrithik Roshan+sleevless shirts is not a good combo at all. In fact he looks good enough in full sleeve shirts/sweaters etc. I also never liked him as a actor anyways. There is also the fact that he 'dances like a snake' as my mother puts it (I dont like his dancing style either lol)

I forgot to add Nathan Fillion to the list of my top favourite celebrities! I find him so hot. He really is a great actor and he did a great job as 'Captain Malcolm Reynolds' in the sci-fi tv series 'Firefly'...Hate FOX for dropping the show Yeah...that's one of the first things I saw back when I was just getting into j-rock...my friend told me she absolutely had to send me a vid of his 'infamous' Vanilla concert XD Well...Certainly not Shah Rukh Khan or (gasp!) Salman Khan/Hrithik Roshan. Muscle guys dont appeal to me at all. I kinda have wierd taste. I like Arshad Warsi (he is so hot! He totally rocks as Circuit XD), maybe Amir Khan and Abhishek Bacchan (though I dont like his bearded look...Im not a huge fan of beards/stubbles. Clean cut look is best for me XD). And then I kinda like South Indian actors such as Mohanlal (he might be getting overweight but he was good looking when he first started out...plus I love his acting XDD), and Prithviraj (Malayali actor...yeah thats right im a mallu XD). Only other people I can think of atm are Tamil actors Surya and Madhavan

I dont really know much about Skype...but usually to talk to people i'd think youd need to friend them, and you cant friend strangers cause they wouldnt know you. However IRC isnt that difficult, and its not like it doesnt offer any security. It has a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it it gets easy to use, and its one of the best ways to meet people imo I met most of my closest online friends through irc only. What exactly do you find frightening?

I didnt used to find Daniel Craig hot, but after seeing him in James Bond I really like how he looks. I love Hugh Jackman as well Ive never heard of John Barrowman...but god he looks hot. And since i dont really have time to go through the whole list...will someone tell me wether Matt Damon or Josh Hartnett are there? I rather liked how Matt Damon looked in The Bourne Identity, and I just like Josh Harnett

Urgh...To tell you the truth I hated the new book. Ok it wasnt ALL that bad but i still didnt like it that much. All the action in the beginning was a bit to sudden for me. And my god, the amount of deaths in this book is mind boggling. The one I was most surprised at was Hedwig (why kill the owl ;_ . I also dont like the way she handled Malfoy's and Snape's stories. Malfoy wasn't given the kind of comeback I expected (it would have been nice to see a bit more of a redemption for Malfoy). And I liked Snape better when he was mysterious and of unknown allegiance (though I alway believed Snape to be a true follower of Dumbledore and not a traitor lol).

I hope no one minds if I randomly come and post in this topic ^^: Anyways on to the topic. The thing which most puts me off from any type of story,let alone erotica, is misinformation. Either that or that the author is suffering under a delusion that they can write anything which catches their fancy, be it true or not, which basically means the same thing anyways. That includes enormous penises on 12 year olds, and young people casual acceptance/willingness to try out hardcore BDSM/kinky sex, or having sex with total strangers one just randomly picks up from the streets. I especially dislike reading a story where the main objective is sex. I tried reading a HPxDM fanfic recently where each chapter seems to contains some sort of BDSM sex. Anywhere the story seemed to start having even a bit of a plotline, sex would suddenly crop up. In fact sex everyday was even made a necessity (something about some spell gone wrong etc). What took the cake was, since Dumbledore had died, Harry was suddenly made the head of the Order of the Phoenix even though he is a young boy not yet out of school (and may I add not of age even in the wizarding world). I don't mind a story where the main character is promiscous (though I prefer a story with a solid couple), but sex as the main objective is a major turn off. (End of rant ) @Off topic: Comicality I absolutely love your stories! Especially 'Gone from Daylight' and 'Savage Moon'. I think the new chapters are awesome! Cant wait for more ^^;
