Happy Holi! At least this year they didn't play god awful songs in insanely loud volume. Good songs this time round. This year was fun. We all got dumped with water towards the end from water tanker on top of building lol. Ahh bhaang. Well of course I am not going to do that >.>

Just in case some people don't know, manga is a graphic novel (best example would be comic book format). You can also answer with, I don't read manga/watch anime at all. Lol. Main question is obviously for yaoi manga, which is manga with emphasis on gay relationships. And I use yaoi as a general term, for both soft and hardcore themes. I was pretty wary of posing this question here because I kind of expect most people to go "no its way to stereotypical". Heh heh ^^; One of the main reasons why I even started reading stories with gay romance is because of yaoi manga. I became manga fan first, and then graduated to reading online stories as well. I admit, a lot of yaoi manga WAY too stereotypical at times in case of personality of character tying in with what role they take during sex scenes (as in who is top etc.). But there are certain titles I think everyone SHOULD check out wether they be manga fan or not. Oh well waiting for answers xD

I hate the fact that India is not very friendly towards gay people. My mother was horrified to learn I support gay rights. It really is kind of depressing. I keep reading little things in the newspaper that pisses me of as well. Like last month, there was a section in the newspaper talking about how there is 'clinic' here in the capital that offers to make the person straight and like women instead of men, after a advance of course. Thankfully the journalist seemed to be quite scornful and against that ploy. I got a friend living in Bahrain, and she was telling me that if anyone even caught with say, gay literature, they can get shot. By the police. Legally.

Cricket here too? God everwhere I turn its cricket cricket cricket lol. Not that I exactly hate cricket, but surely the news channels have some other news to show instead of focusing on them and having thousands of interviews of cricket stars, idolising them...and it only lasts as long as they do well. They lose one match and its back to moaning about how awful the Indian team is. Oh well. We are doing good anyways these days Yay for India! I didnt exactly follow this series though with the Bhajji controvesy and all. Put me off.

OMG! They are restricting creativeness! Ahem. Im a HUGE Pogues fan, and 'Fairytale of New York' is one of my favourite songs. I mean, its GENIUS. The Pogues essentially CREATED the celtic punk genre. They never cared about general opinion. And the word faggot in that song isnt used in a deragatory word towards actual gays. Its used more as a general insult. Its a all time Christmas favourite! Hmpph. Here is the part of song the word is used: You're a bum You're a punk You're an old slut on junk Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed You scumbag, you maggot You cheap lousy faggot Happy Christmas your arse I pray God it's our last They might as well ban the whole song. As one comment in the link Matt posted said: No! It's a cracking tune about two people having a blazing row at Christmas. They're meant to be offending each other!

I forgot to mention! I've also watched Broken Hearts Club. Cute movie. Thanks for the other recs! Ill check them out Golden Compass is out already? Either I lost touch with the movie releases or its not out yet here. I probably wont get to see 'The Game Plan' any time soon (its releasing in theaters too far from my house). I'll probably go see 'I Am Legend' this weekend though :

Considering I have no luck with guys (Im so extremely shy in real life its embarrassing), I find it hard to think of a relationship with two people, but I answered 'Yes but only if I feel strongly for them'. It probably wont happen in any case xD

Movies. The only movies I'm looking forward to are 'The Game Plan' cause it looks like its going to be a cute movie, and 'The Golden Compass' cause well...I'm a HUGE fan of the books xD I'm getting a itch though. I want to watch more gay oriented movies just cause I haven't watched too many. I watched some nice ones such as 'Plata Quemada', 'La Mala Educacion' (both awesome), 'Y tu Mama Tambien' (that gay kiss was so cute xD), and my favourite so far 'The King and the Clown' (Korean movie).

Well it sounds nice. Im cynical about new technology as well, so lets just wait and see. @BeastKid. You make no sense. No offense, but your missing out on some truly amazing fiction by not trying out e-books. Granted, lots of them are pointless smut (especially if one is looking for erotica, which is where most gay themed books are published as), but then there are jewels in the rough as well. Oh well, its your opinion anyways. At least your not missing out on the great stories here

Hmm. My mother would be just fine if I get my nose pierced. Part of our culture and what not. I got my ears pierced when I was a child. Personally though. Id rather not get my nose pierced. Im quite satisfied with just pierced ears. Id so totally love a tattoo though. But my mom hates tattoos...

Wow. That is so sad. It pains me to think that anyone can go through so much. I really admire and respect that he still managed to go on after all that happened to him. I am truly sorry for his family and friends. He seems to have achieved so much in his short life. I hope he rests in peace.

Oh I knew about the dabbawallahs. After all, there is documentary after documentary made out of it. Any food program about India almost always contains a story about them. I've read 'The Grass is Singing' before. Had to cause it was part of my english class studies in high school. Found it so incredibly depressing. I dont particularly like her books, but its so funny to see how she reacts to the news of her winning the Nobel.

Well its wierd. Ive never had that many celebrity crushes (till now that is xD). Oh god I remember my first one though. Brian Litrell (is that how to spell?) from Backstreet Boys. I cringe to think HOW much I was into him but its still funny to think about now. Other than that there was Jonathan Taylor Thomas (from Home Improvement, voice of young Simba), Max Elliot Slade (3 Ninjas), and Sam Huntington (Jungle 2 Jungle). Oh and how could I forget Christopher Lambert (Highlander, The Hunted). Still love Christopher Lambert <3 Nowadays i'm into Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter) and japanese guys xD

Well honestly speaking I don't care either way. I voted No for lesbian daughter and Yes for gay son. Not that I cant accept a girl is hot, I just know id rather have a gay son. But id love my children anyways wether they are gay or straight. Being straight I don't have any idea what being gay/lesbian means so I cant really advice my children though. India is not a good place for people to be gay though. As i've seen TheBeastKid mention before, its actually against the law to have 'homosexual relationships'. A lot of people are homophobic as well (even my mom is to a extent). Best case scenario would be that my child is straight so it would be easier for them, but one cant change what was meant to be. If they are gay they are gay, and if they are straight they are straight. Nothing can really change that. And as I said earlier I would love them regardless of their sexual orientation.

Its been 6 years and I can still remember when exactly I heard the news of the WTC attack. Was in the bus coming home from school and heard something about WTC in the radio and wondered what was so special about it. When I came back on my mom had the tv on and told me about it. 11th September also happens to be my mom's bday. My mom took it pretty hard cause she had actually visited WTC before.

Wow I didnt know there was so much prejudice in the USA. To the extent that gay people would be treated as second class citizens. In retrospect the decision of the son to move to Canada is the right decision. And it is indeed Canada's gain. I feel sorry for the mother to be seperated to her son. It must be so hard.
