  1. Thanks all. Yeah I had wonderful day. I got a Nintendo DS as a bday present. Was awesome.
  2. Happy Bday Jessiflash
  3. Wow poor guy. Going through so many surgeries is bound to be extremely painful. I hope he starts getting better soon ^^;
  4. Hah hah. New forum looks great. I was just going to ask about LiveChat, but good thing I read through the posts before posting first xD
  5. My grandma used to have lots of dogs. We only have pictures of the last one. Her name was Bubbly, though she had MANY variations to her name such as Bubbles etc etc. The dog we had before her was a split image of her and we called him Kutuz, in fact we also called her Kutuz so many times. I wonder what she used to think of her hundred names or so we gifted her with xD. Unfortunately she died in 2001, and we haven't had a dog since. My cousin used to have a cat called Cuddles, and I loved him so much. He used to love sleeping on my lap. Don't have a pic of him. He disappeared one day and the family knew how much I loved him so they made up this elaborate story of how Cuddles was driven out by a rival cat or something, but I found out years later my uncle had thrown him out :<
  6. Yesterday was a very happy day. It made me proud to be an Indian I broke into a little jig when I came back home and saw the news xDDD Though watching the news channels made me feel a bit irritated, especially when they showed the various religious groups making statements against the ruling. The UPA government currently in their second term, had opposed decriminalizing gay sex throughout their first term, with the exception of the then Health Minister. Now the government at least seems to be willing to review Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. I don't have any idea if the ruling is in affect all over India or not, but it seems it might be in effect all over India until the time the government amends Section 377. This section, while not being used in the official capacity against gays, lesbians, and transgenders, had been used to harass and blackmail them. Right now its still can be used against pedophiles and those who were unwillingly forced to have sex. It's very good news though. And I no longer have to listen to people tell me, gays are considered criminals by the state etc. God knows how many times I've had that used against me when I argued against homophobes in various Indian forums.
  7. Merry Belated Christmas everyone
  8. Back when we were in Ireland, my family used to host a new years party for our close friends...here in India, we don't really do anything. Or celebrate Christmas as such, though we do go on family trips during that time. This year we went to Dharamsala (place where His Holiness the Dalai Lama has set up his government in exile)
  9. Happy Birthday
  10. I'll go watch the movie, and then whine continuously to my parents afterwards about how different it is to the book, and how much better the book is when compared to the movie.
  11. Oh. So that's what this means. Been reading a few stories with fast updates with the authors talking about NaNoWriMo. I always figured I'd go search what that means later. Well all the better for me. xDDD
  12. Happy birthday ^^;
  13. I also recommend Kinky Boots, My Beautiful Laundrette, Shelter, and Beautiful Thing. I'm definitely going to check out the Filipino movies. Some Spanish movies: Plata Quemada Two gay bank robbers are forced to flee across the country to avoid the police...Not a Bonnie & Clyde type of story though xD La Mala Educacion (A film by Pedro Almod
  14. I used to have a penpal waay back in 7th grade. The librarian in the American school I went to gave me her email. It was kinda fun for the first few months and then we kinda stopped sending mail. Plus I forgot my password and the account got dropped so... I still remember that penpal cause its through her that I learnt the word 'procastinate'. It kinda stuck in my mind that incident. xD
  15. Thank you everyone! I had a really nice day. Dad bought be a new mobile yesterday! And went to see a movie today.
  16. By first pride march, I mean first gay pride march to ever take place in the Capital. It went peacefully, and according to the reports in the local paper, there was a huge turnout. They figured at least 500 people showed up
  17. Ah. Well its too bad you didn't like it. It's a fun game once you get the basics down. There aren't that many rules as such, but it all depends on how you use the rules to play that makes this game interesting for me. Im not the best at this game though. Im still in the 13-15 kyu rank stage and I've been playing for about a year or so. Granted I think my rank came down since I haven't been able to play for a while due to real life intruding. xD
  18. There was a Gay Pride march in India's capital New Delhi today. http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1173042 It took place near my house, but I don't know what happened since I wasn't able to attend. I wish them all the best though
  19. When I write my real name in my mobile using the dictionary, it comes out as pitcha. I just added the extra 'n' because I wanted it to have Japanese twist (because I was anime fan). 'Chan' is a Japanese honorific added after names and are typically used towards girls etc etc. xD
  20. Lol Ieshwar. I think thats Duo from Gundam Wing. My avatar. Pretty simple. I like playing 'Go'. Its a popular game especially in China, Japan, and Korea. Its like chess. The particular game in my avatar is a game played by Honinbo Shusaku (one of the most famous Go players of all time). Edit: Ah sorry. It's Heero. Maybe it was the way the hair was going which confused me. I was going to say Heero, then I saw the hairstyle and said Duo instead. Heero is awesome xD

    Manga

    @jamessavik and AFriendlyFace: Ah to each their own. I personally can become pretty obsessive about certain anime/manga @TL: I'm considered a good source for yaoi manga in general for my friends here in India. However if you want recommendations go check this place out...since I've already have a thread there. Ignore the fangirlishness I've indulged in the past. That was like 2 years ago. I start making sense toward the bottom of that page. And I hope linking is allowed ^^; http://animestan.7.forumer.com/viewtopic.p...384&start=0 *coughs and looks around* @Umbathri: Lol the chans. Well, that could be a good source for yaoi, but most people surf the chans specifically for explicit images And all my male friends HATE Ouran and call it yaoiran, for all that it is shoujo (romance manga targeted at girls) and not even shounen-ai (soft version of gay romance manga). Its a awesome series though. @Dalmatia: Hah hah the twins. I remember watching 'SOS in the Jungle Pool' and Hikaru/Kaoru mention seme and Haruhi is like: 'Huh seme? What's that?' I started laughing so hard xD @Azure Dragon: There is nothing wrong with mainstream. I watch mainstream anime all the time (I still have to branch out to mainstream manga though xD). Only mainstream manga I've purposefully followed are D.Gray Man, Hana Kimi, and Genshiken. And Goong if I include Korean man-wha (Korean version of Japanese Manga).
  22. Happy Easter everyone

    Manga

    @Dalmatia: Ah. Gravitation. My first manga ever. Shindou is a whiny annoying brat, but Yuki is <3. Hmm I no longer have Gravitation scanlated files in my computer, but if your interested in scanlations I know a place where you can get at least 7-9 volumes of Gravitation from the net. That is if you don't prefer paperback. Btw have you read any of the Gravitation Remix doujinshi (doujinshi are fanworks). Just curious. The remix doujins are...scary though xD Are you into any other shounen-ai/yaoi manga? @Tl: OH live action dorama (drama)! I recently got into the dorama scene, though I haven't seen the one you mentioned. I've only seen the live action versions of Hana Kimi, Gokusen, Hana Yori Dango, Nodame Cantabile, and Densha Otoko. I love live action xD The difference between manga and anime is manga comes in book format, while anime is animated and comes on the TV. There are many series that are in both manga and anime format, though sometimes storylines/plots may differ between the two. Some series begin as a manga and are animated, while some series begin as a anime and are later given manga makeover. It is kind of like Hollywood movies, where popular books are given film adaptations (like Lord of the Rings), or popular films being made into books (one example which immediately comes to mind are the Star Wars books...lol) @glomph: Lol. Does manga really sound like a Italian word? I didn't think so. And I'm not a huge fan of Gakuen Heaven. Its not the best series to start watching as a introduction to anime in my opinion heh heh ^^;

    Manga

    Ah. Well one of the main reasons I like reading yaoi manga is that I can look at some eye candy as well as reading gay romance Though unfortunately, same cannot be said of most yaoi themed anime. Those mostly suck (or have done so, so far). And at least you've watched Neon Genesis Evangelion corvus. Thats a classic. Erm...Here are a few examples of eye candy. Yeah I am a total obsessive fangirl. I can't help but promote a little xD Both artwork are from my fave mangaka (manga authors) Miyamoto Kano. lol ^^;
