[Andrew_Q_Gordon] The Trial of Jordan Colmar
Benji replied to Andrew Q Gordon's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
.. Me put pressure on you??? Never! -
......... I wasn't going to comment on this thread, Marty has this soooooo well charted this out, my hat is off to him (but then again I never wear a hat) But the docking fees came to mind here, couldn't Dirk own them out right since he owns all the buildings on the block? And wouldn't it make sense that the docks are included in the land? That said it seems to be a bit irreverent anyways, I doubt that aspect will ever come back into the story. The focus left is on Lisa and Joel, and maybe Gonzales interaction with a Rachel meeting. And of course around the corner is Mr. B. our professional hit man! But I see the next chapter as a bit quiet, maybe revealing a few facts information, but basically Lisa and Joel leaving Florida, now if they adhered to their parents wishes and did not stop off at the guesthouse to retrieve Trevor's bags. Then it is a quiet chapter, however if they do, all hell can break loose if they speak in the guesthouse, about any revelations between Trevor and them that is repeated in the guesthouse. Once Bridget and George realize that the Aries is still around they may panic. I see George taking the easy route and leaving Bridget and protecting himself, he has made a few voyages out without letting Bridget know. But I suspect Bridget does indeed know, having a GPS on the Sea witch that George is unaware of, and has been tracking it. I'm sure Bridget will kill George and try for an escape before the cartel can figure out the incriminating documents left behind on the Ares by Arnold are had known to the police. Sanchez may also be forced to flee or get 'promoted'.

Circumnavigation (the one after 99): Death & Taxes

............... I agree, Mr. B is the most dangerous of characters as he is a professional assassin. I'm pretty sure though that he will meet his demise, a very surprised Mr. B will encounter something just as deadly. -
............. Well if Lisa is able to reach Trevor before landing in Australia, they will have to make arrangements to meet early. Still her news will not be as shocking as Trevor's will be back to her. Problem I see will the two obey their parents, and go straight home or make a quick stop at the guesthouse. What if Lisa calls Trevor while in school and he blurts out the that Rachel is alive and well in Australia with the Ares intact with Joel while retrieving the suitcases. This will alert Bridget and George that the cops are on it already, and their jig is up. As we all know teens follow their parents grounding to the letter!

............. But Gene, Jim is Dirks lawyer and lover. He didn't do anything wrong! -
...........Hey Marty! I was right on a lot of things in the storyline, but wrong about Rachel's reason for disappearing. The next piece of the puzzle will be Gonzales discovering that Rachel holds some information that will help him, but not much. It will take Trevor and Shane to make a discovery aboard the Ares to nail Bridget. Going to a mighty fine phone call between Trevor and Dirk. I do hope Joel sticks to his promise and comes straight home after school, and not stop by the guesthouse to pick-up the suitcases.

.............. But everyone knows that goats can't count!! -
................Well Jenny left us with a bit of a cliffhanger, she was figured out her old boyfriend and then left him speechless. Now the point of the party is the the attention between Clinton and Corey, Clinton being the obvious closet case and Corey being the reluctant hidden one. I think in the next chapter (how many months will that be? ../..//public/style_emoticons/default/lmaosmiley.gif ) That Clinton and Corey will find themselves. That leaves us with Corey's dad, essentially he has been living his dreams through his son, and we know that is not going to happen. Enter Corey's mother who I'm going to guess has saved money for Corey's education in spite of his father's expectations of a secular football season with a scholarship. A mother knows, and I suspect she knew long in advance of this, as the saga starts to unravel the pretense that Corey fought is known to his family. His father cannot live out his dreams in another, and the realization has finally struck him. Great (late) chapter Krista!!!!!!

........ Well it would seem the Joey's father abuse's him, I'm going to bet everything was okay in his family before the parents found out that he was gay. Probably got caught with another boy, and the enraged parents parents moved to start over and keep Joey on a tight leash and punished often. Great chapter!

........... As we have differed before Marty, as we have differed before!
-
............. There is a point here about Lisa, Lisa ASKED if she could remove items from Dirk's store, that was not dishonest. Again Lisa never disavowed her her relationship to Joel with her father, she never lied about it, therefore was not dishonest about it. Concealment of facts is not dishonesty, in Lisa's case she told the truth to her father, yet neglected to inform him of her tryst with Joel at Bridget's guesthouse. That is the only fault I find with Lisa, yet was she dis-honest? Or just not forcoming.

..........Although Ben was a character (hmmm, wonders if the goat was pointing to someone here) he was not a major player.
-
.................. Well what is Lisa guilty of?
-
................... Nice chapter! Looks like Andy and Joey are going have to watch their backs from on. I wonder what Joey's parents are on about? Got to be tough having a preacher as a father.

This CANNOT possibly be wrapped in one chapter, tooooooooo many loose ends to resolve here
-
................ I think when Rachel said so no longer owned the Ares/kookaburra it was because the boat was illegally registered and the Australian Government will take possession of it since the time of pretense is over. I imagine she knows she will be fined and is ready to resolve it. Bridget has no legal standing in the ownership of the Ares.

................ I agree, this would make a terrific book and movie, I think the public would be accepting of a gay themed movie. As subtle as it is, the story is too powerful by itself. Not sure who would write the script and do the book justice, I suppose I could ask my nephew (he is now in the Hollywood industry) yet it might be a shock to him if I asked! As my closet door is still shut, except for a few, and he is not one!!

...............Trevor's long search for the Ares is finally over, now he needs to find the secret compartment aboard the Ares to nail Bridget for Gonzales. The phone calls to Joel and Lisa are going to be another shock in Florida, hopefully the pair won't be in Bridget's guest house when Trevor calls. If Bridget gets hears that Rachel is alive her plans are foiled against Dirk, and if Sanchez gets word, what will he think? George already seems to making plans of his own, who is he meeting out at sea? I wonder if Sanchez will call off the hit, can he save face for doing so? Or will he his pride prevent him from doing that. Has George already planted the coke on Joel and Lisa and will Joel notice the extra pound in each suitcase or will Henry search it for them? I think Trevor's book written with Shane will be a bestseller and make the boys rich. Too much left in this story for it to end abruptly, after all we still need to see Trevor and Shane ride into the sunrise.
-
............ Marty, the revelation was the end of one part of the story, there are still a few sub-plots out there. Who is George meeting with out at sea? Joel and Lisa's luggage, and of course Mr. B and Sanchez. And of course Bridget having the sea witch outfitted with larger tanks. And I wonder what trap Frank is going to spring on Gonzales when they meet with the State DA? I think Dirk and Jim are pretty much out of the rest of the story from now on, except maybe an angry phone call from Trevor! Btw, I forgot to mention the reporter, he was promised another big story. Trevor's book will be a best seller and he and Shane will have no money problems. Imagine what the publicity would do for Trevor's business. And all he has to do is keep his head on his shoulders!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEPHY!!!! ..........Hope it is a good one!!!

You are not alone, I could write pages of my depression dating back decades ago, recently worsened in 1997 and in full force since 2009. I'll not bore you, but up til 11/2008 I was able to cope with it, after that I was grasping at straws and have only a month or two to deal with a new reality laid out for me if I do not find another place to rent. To say I don't know depression, well lets just say I have been living it longer then you have been alive

........... Good question, as I understand it if cash bond was put up to the courts by family, friends or whatever it is returned. Yet I'm not sure of a bonding agent here, will they release some monies as they are in the business? Maybe 10-50% of the bond money posted?
