....... There may have been a more 'wanted' relationship' between Jamie and Milo, but I think that was one sided promotion in Jamie's eyes. Jamie was and was trying to win the 'I'm the king shit award' he thought that being the sidekick of Milos Trust was enough to elevate his status, he realized that without Milo's 'Trust' he is just another teenager in high school, with his own problems. Jamie feared his own downfall with Nelson and by hanging on to Milo, and trying to confront everyone that stood in his way, Jamie fought a losing battle. Milo's rejection of Jamie in the last chapter confirms Jamie's fears, where Jamie goes from here is the biggest question in the saga!

..............Add #5 Jamie's look of defeat when Milo bounced the keys off him, basically telling him to get lost! Great chapter Dom!! Just what was needed to 'fix' this situation. Milo has outted his self and redeeming Nels. I imagine Mr. Trust will hear about this within minutes and although I wouldn't put it past Jamie to make that call. But I think 'twinkle toes' is more afraid of getting himself into the limelight!!

Sadly I can relate, my father took his life when I was 10 years old, and like you, I was told it was 'accidental' until the some well informed neighborhoods kids told us (my 4 brothers and sister at the time) 6 months to a year later. Sometimes, reading stories here will invoke memories that one should rather be left alone. It also took years to finally realize that 'we' were not the root of the pain that caused him to take his life. His issues were his, and his alone! Benji

If Trevor's mom is in a witness protection program and the feds staged the accident, you would think that they would have closed up any loopholes and not let an investigation continue. If Dirk and his wife staged the accident for protection of themselves without help from the outside, I can see the problem Dirk has created. Whatever secret Dirk is holding that he cannot even divulge to his lawyer?? Whatever Lisa and Bridget come up with, I'm sure the police already have that information in their hands. Meanwhile, if Dirk does locate Trevor and Joel in Gibraltar, will he have enough time to get the authorities involved? Or will it be a race to get through the Suez canal? Great chapter! I'm sure CJ has some great monkey stories left to tell?? Haha! I think we will just be getting speculation here, the answer is waiting in Australia.

...............Yep, I don't think Milo is really a coward! I think he was trying to protect himself and the family name, because of his father. That is why I think the Trust household knew Milo was gay all along, I think Milo was suffocated by that and his introvertness was a result of his upbringing. What (TRUST) father would have dismissed his son so easily if say the son had been more like Joe, Jamie or even Caleb? Milo is not a coward, he was trained to be a 'Trust', that bubble once Milo discovers the truth is going to blow up over the town, and over his father. Will Jamie be there for him, as Nel's freinds will be? That is the question!

Posted 05 April 2007 - 12:19 PM What is the most recent update on this story?? ..............Yep, that was my last comment to this story! Left hanging on chapter 11 waiting for 12! In fact I waited til 17 was posted before I read it, that is re-read all of it! My thoughts on it, Mr. Trust is behind 99.9% of everything in the story, to him his image is everything. Milo dated every girl in his old school and still rumors floated, I'm sure Mr. Trust was well informed enough to involve Jamie as a potential friend for Milo, trying to get him to try and pass off that aggressive male sexist attitude unto his son. Juanita is another enigma here, the un-housekeeper that does Milo's laundry has never pre-chanced to see his drawings? Some that a noisy Nels saw in minutes in a delivery? Trust me, the Trust family already knows that Milo is gay, Mr. Trust had even tried to keep the existence of his son away from his future fiance! Jamie knows too, but has some loyalty attached to Milo in a friendship not different from that of Caleb and Nels. In a way Jamie and Caleb are very, very, very much alike, they don't realize that because the enemy camps are drawn fast and hard. What is not known is what advise Jamie is reluctantly giving Milo, how much of a friend is he? Jamie may be an ass, but I do not think he is the one that spread the rumors, I believe it was Mr. Trust, with his influence and power decided to protect the family name by whatever means he can come up WITH TRUST MILO! Milo will out himself to absolve Nels!

..................Great chapter CJ, almost ended the entire story before it started with Trev taking the spill overboard. Well, that was one mistake he will never make again. I'm glad Joel is going to be with him for a portion of the voyage. I see a problem ahead, looks like Trevor plans to go through the Suez canal to reach Australia. ......"I'll get to see the Seychelles and Mauritius on my way to Australia." A very perilous route, considering Iran patrol boats, and pirates running around in that area of the world. Another thing is the fee associated with using the Suez canal, I tried to calculate it, but someone didn't give out the tonnage for the boat! It could be very expensive!!

.............Except that would make no sense at all, if Trevor's mother is alive and well in Austraila. The resentment Trevor would have for his dad may never be forgiven. Why would he allow his son to go dangerously looking for the missing mom, if she was alive and well? And remember Dirk is already consulting his lawyer about possible ramifications should Trevor uncover 'something'. The other mystery is the lawyer, Dirk's weekly jaunts are possibly to see him.

.................It does look it it will be a long parting from his friends with Trevor deciding to sail north. I'm guessing he is headed to Canada to pick up a crewmate! After all, the clue was clearly given;
