It’s going to take me awhile to formulate an epic review for this epic tale. I’m genuinely grateful to have read it ‘complete’. Your cliffhanger-ness is a lot, too much, in real time. I’m also appreciative that these last few chapters were action packed and, somewhat, less emotionally wrought. When I tell you that you make me cry it’s true. I’m totally that guy and since I finished my reading in a couple of airport terminals it could have been unseemly. The “full circle” nature was frightening and incredibly fulfilling. Eike’s appearance and attempt drags back to the attack, the genesis of the story. Or is it? Maybe this was always about John Brown. What a heartwarming reunion right in my own backyard. Mangy beard and all. ❤️

This is one of those chapters that I wish I could leave multiple reactions. Shelly’s funeral had me ugly crying. I sooo appreciate the tender scene between Arric and Kieran. Beautifully written start to finish.

Seems certain it will be theirs not just his. Weird science. Totally here for it. Special project Vamp SPF 900 sunscreen? Life outside the Spire? Kavan and Ry only agreed to a sleepover, right? But the clothes fit better …

This is such a feel good chapter. Cyn feels a sense of belonging and the shifter variety is exciting or enchanting or, crap, I need C’s! A Comforting sense of Community. Charming.

Didn’t want to ruin a well-deserved compliment with a LOL moment I found in this chapter. Consider this line without context: “Shea breathed heavily and kept his manhood inside the deer.”
