    Chapter 6

This Ken Hall series of stories has been entertaining and fun reads, which is an unusual thing to say about murder mysteries. I think it was due to the short chapters, excellent and lovable main characters, and the stories, left a lot of room for us the readers to speculate on the possible theories and clues/misdirects given. I dare say that we had a lot of fun with that! 😀 I definitely would enjoy a more in depth version of this cast in the future. Thanks @chris191070, for the good tales, and the somewhat inappropriate but very creative responses to our comments. ❤️

    Chapter 5

Gosh, what a great plan! Are you kidding me?
  3. Manny survived, but the customer was not so lucky. Wally's head is plastered around the bar walls, how appropriate. We got some back story on Bass, which seemed pretty sad to me. Rocky's built up grief was finally released and shared by the household. He appears to have developed a strong bond with Manny, which should make the future better for all concerned. I am not thrilled with the name of the next chapter, Progress? Or Surgery, Round Two We shall see what that is all about.

    Chapter 10

It was a stormy day, which included lots of painful memories and regrets about Phil's actions with his ex-wife Eloise. Although not discussed, I am sure that his actions had a great impact on his then 10 year old son, Roger. which needs to be further explored. It boils down to whether anyone is or was perfect, and it should cause me to reassess my opinions. of different characters. More information needs to be revealed. and in short, I plan on keeping a more open mind. I love this story.
  5. Agreed and Congratulations @weinerdog for your recent Epic Scribe title! (14/15) rank.
  6. I loved the story and now understand where the title comes from, because it is what I am asking myself now. Yes there are questions that have been left unanswered, but my desire to stick with Pete and George is considerable. What could possibly go wrong or hopefully right in their future? There is more to be told and I am more than a willing audience, to the answer of "What Else Is There". Great story, Thanks

    Chapter 4

The boys need to share with Ken as to what their ideas and plans are. Going off alone and hiding actions, information, and plans will not turn out well. Ken and Joe should realize this by now and try to keep them under better control. Just saying ........Again.
  8. Boy, that was a shocker. I definitely Didn't see that coming. Manny shot Wally right between the eyes but unfortunately, not soon enough. Can only wait to see how bad the damage is. I was also disappointed with Rocky's mouthy, gay slurs.

    Chapter 13

This seems to all boil down to a contest between the change agent (Pete and George) and the Turner curse (the power and influence of the Turner family). There had been some (details unknown to us). history between George and Jordan Turner. If this comes down to a "battle of wits", I like Pete and George's odds of winning. I also agree there will be risk and drama included, as in all epic good versus evil battles. Just hoping that Pete will not be back at the ER as a result. A very captivating story for me. ❣️
  11. Lots of new information, some very surprising, stuffed into this chapter. Rocky's real mother, the MO's of the different crime families. Boris and Kelly's true relationship, and the demise of the previous bodyguard, et cetera, all according to Bass. I learned a new word "shtupping", at least new to me. Lots to think about, and a weekend party on the way. 🤔

    Chapter 2

Wouldn't that make this mystery end much too quickly? Drag the story out and make @chris191070 work for the praise he has been getting. 👿

    Chapter 2

I can see that also, but it would be hard to keep their budding detective sons, from getting involved. The names of the gay resorts are a bit laughable. The "Honeymoon Hotel" and now the "Peter Pan Hotel" ? What are the names of the others? Maybe the "Fairy Dust Lodge" or The "Bottoms Holiday Inn". Anyone else care to to make a creative guess?

    Chapter 1

As I said before, time seems to go quickly in Ken's and his family's world. One afternoon in Miami and they are now in the middle of a new case. What information does Ken need to share with local police? Was it Juan's offer of “I’m at your service for all your needs, and I do mean, all your needs.” Poor Juan.

    Chapter 9

There were a lot of painful tear stains left on the Windows by Phil in this chapter. Tears of regret and sadness, over his decisions and actions made in his past about his wife, his son, and himself. The choices he made in the past continue to haunt his thoughts as he tries to deal with them and the effects, they had on his family and his career. His guilt over his relationship with his wife, and son Roger, has given us new insight to the turmoil that he still struggles with today. Jason also had tears of his past actions, that he shared with Phil. I also expect that nurse Sullivan is shedding her own grief-felt tears over Stanley and his father's relationship, and her family's future. With all that is going on, I expect Colin to have a major role in all the outcomes. Why? Because he is in the middle of it all, and appears to be best equipped to deal with the various situations. Time and @Ronyx will tell, if that is the case.

    Chapter 12

Things appear to be getting better in Pete's life now that George has filed an official petition of adoption. The emotions and joy that he expressed at the restaurant left no doubt about how he felt about this development. At fourteen Pete had a very rough childhood but has become a remarkable young man. He has shown great judgement and maturity that is way beyond his years, and others are noticing. Lets hope this continues, and the constant turmoil he has experienced will begin to lighten up. His personal accomplishments are feats to be admired. I'm sure there will be more drama, but Pete is beginning to develop a significant support system, that should help him deal with it. That is my hope, so please, do not screw that up @Al Norris.
  17. I read this chapter the other day, but decided not to comment at that time. The thought that Bass being a 34 year old virgin, caught me a bit off guard. Perhaps if we had more background on him it would be helpful. The thought of his sexual experience and Rocky's being equal, was hard to understand and a bit shocking. At least Bass knew the difference between bisexual and bicycle. Rocky Is young, and intelligent, but lacks acceptable behavior in the social graces and is a bit mouthy which is not really surprising to me. They all seem to be trying to make this unusual family arrangement work out. The big question is how @Lee Wilson thinks this arrangement will work out. So far, it has been a very interesting read indeed.

I'm waiting for @chris191070 to make a GIF using that comment!!!!

    Chapter 6

Interesting case, but the biggest surprise to me was Ken's reactions in the earlier part of the story. Not what I would have expected? He was all in for having a daughter, that he dropped his usual detective perspective. All's well that ends well, I guess. Now on to the Sunshine State for some family R&R. 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 🏊‍♂️ 😎 🦩

    Chapter 11

That could cover some of his actions, but not all. The attack of Pete at the last baseball practice was but an example. Until Mitch can be honest about his behavior, Pete stepping back from Mitch seems to be the best decision.

    Chapter 11

Pete's maturity and wisdom shines in so many ways, in this chapter, but his emotions have yet to catch up. He has earned the respect of most of his peers, and many in the community, but I assume that doesn't include the Turners and their crowd. And then there is Mitch. Will he ever get his shit together? I don't see that happening very soon. What could be the surprise waiting for Pete and his Uncle, at the restaurant?
  22. Patrick (or sidecar Pat) being the chauffeur appears to be capable to drive any vehicle that he desires.
  23. This was a fun chapter, with Rocky and Manny bonding during their activities. Rocky met "Charlie Browne" in person, and explained to Manny about Patrick's guilt about being caught Bike riding Linda. Bass had his own blast with his personal version of "Candid Camera", in the study, and plans to do his own bonding with Manny tonight. A good day in the household except, maybe Sandy, but perhaps Patrick has his own bicycle built for two in the garage. Rocky is just having fun and "going with the flow", so to speak. Tennis anyone?

    Chapter 5

You have to admit, Chris is fast and creative.
  25. Flip-Flop

    Chapter 5

The Maggie O’Shea that Joe and Ken met is really Sharon Gustafson and lives with her boss/boyfriend Marco (Mark) Prizzi who runs a detective agency. Definitely a scam. You would think they would come up with a better fake identity than Maggie O’Shea, which was easily traceable. Seems a bit fishy for a professional detective. I know that red herring needs to be mentioned, but would it apply to the case now?
