By my count, over half of the authors that wrote stories in the recent "Secret Authors" event, were members of our rather small Drop In Center group. Thanks, to all of you who displayed the extra effort, hard work, and used your creative talents, to take part in this writing event!

You need to post this when it’s done as we need to see it. Just saying… Yes, I would like to see this also. What is the this lonely egg, and nest all about? Did you find the egg outside? The reason why you are knitting a nest, has left me a bit baffled, as to what end?

The major seems to be a powerful, kind, and a no nonsense type of man. I am so happy that things are looking much better for young Kurtis! Things appeared to look quite grim for him, last chapter. It now seems to me that Kurtis has likely found his true father. I love the path that your story is now taking, and look forward to them meeting each other, and learning the prior history of what happened. This was an excellent chapter that could/will change the life's of all concerned!

There were so many reasons why I really enjoyed reading this chapter, and your response to @akascrubber's post explains why. We still have quite a journey yet ahead of us, before we reach our destination. May the journey ahead continue with Julian's personal growth, and my wish for calm seas. Every character seems to add a special something , to your tale, and all are very well done! This reaction, goes to a sweet, and gentle Sam❣️

Wow, what a busy couple of days, that this chapter covered. Things seem to be going well, right now. Nathan gave an excellent speech to the students and Simon was encouraged by the quick results, of the joint war-room's efforts. We know "turmoil" will strike again somewhere. Let us hope it doesn't strike at Nathan, on his visit with his relatives. I'm also very curious, and somewhat uneasy, about the future dance floor project. Could it produce some unexpected surprises at the party? 😇

Julian's sea journey begins, but it is more like a journey to a new life, He is quick to understand that this exile will change the rest of his life forever. He is quickly gaining the respect of the crew, and their leaders. Sam and his bond, is taking on a new importance. We will stand along the rail and observe how, and what, will develop during this sea crossing. What a great first day at sea for Julian!

Discovery And Banishment

Kurtis is way too young to be put out on his own. What a mess his home life appeared to be, even before he admitted to being gay. Now he is on his own, along his dog to care for. His mother is also paying the price of past untruths, and is now a suffering battered spouse, with very limited options to help her son. Right now, things are looking very bleak for this young boy. -
Julian's journey to the distant island nation now begins. His grandmother's gift will surely come in handy. Perhaps she realized the man that Julian's father had become, and wanted to help able her grandson break free from his father's cold grasps? I think that Samuel will become an excellent source of wisdom, knowledge, and friendship. It will be a long journey to reach his island nation of exile. I can only hope, that the two brothers can maintain some form of written communication, without their cold-hearted father finding out. A great start to a our, and Julian's new life changing adventure, and also to your tale. But I also fear about young Miles, being left behind, under his father's rule!

Another emotional chapter added to this tale. Our core group of six Musketeers have been stirred into action, yet once again. There always seems to be new concerns for them to address. What could, or will, the next few chapters of his story "turmoil", will @Paladin toss our way next? We shall be waiting see how this all goes, from here❣️

We had the same weather conditions in my area. We did experience a total eclipse in April 2024. It was such a thrilling event, which I will never forget. It had been 218 years, since our area was last in the path of the totality!

There are so many unknowns at this point in the story. Just how old is Julian? I could also feel the coldness in the air, in the house. and in his father's decisive actions. What will his new home, hold for him upon his arrival? I'm afraid he shall find out, soon enough. ????

The VIP cabin seem to have been updated for a better fit, to suit the 6 member Devlin-Majors family. It is always a pleasure to be with Joan and Dan while traveling, and sharing "high end" adventures. Looking forward to this one! Thanks, for your update. So far, things are moving along very smoothly.

This comment, along with @Summerabbacat's post, reflects the optimism that I felt reading this excellent chapter. I also enjoyed the scenes they shared with Butch, and with the helpful bank teller. Simon covered the legal issues, for the company, and for the trust funds, and let Martin's sister and her husband know he also available to deal with any legal issues they might have. This was a great first step in uniting the newly combined family together❣️ -
I was somewhat shocked when I saw that your story was ending at this point. It seemed a bit like they were making plans for the next project, before any deal had been made? Now that you said there will be a book 2, it now makes more sense to me. I had way too many "what if" type of questions" about their future project planning, along with more "Counting their eggs before they hatched" type of questions. I will be along for your next helping of this "Hollywood and Vine" stardom drama.

The awards dinner made Johnny look like he had become an overnight success story when we have had 25 chapters that detailed that his success had been a long, and hard struggle to reach tonight's podium. But it was Violet's continued faith in him, along with his "all in attitude" and goals, that made tonight possible. Like his newly acquired journal, we readers are also waiting backstage, for the next chapter, in their combined journey ahead. Well done @Albert1434!

So very sad to hear our fears about @Geron Kees confirmed. Every time I saw his name, I would check when was the last time that he posted on GA, hoping for his return. The last mood he had listed on this site, showed that he was was Happy! What a great loss this is. You will long be remembered and may you RIP, my most favorite author, and online friend❣️

What revelations were revealed of the past, present, and personal futures, in three well written chapters. Silas seemed to be aware of who James was. I think it's highly likely they would have done a compete background check of everyone included on this important mission, and on the ship. I doubt they would let just anyone to board their ship, without knowing who they actually were. Yes even a janitor, or any other service worker. It would only take one bad apple, to cause irreparable harm to the ship, and/or its mission.
